Chaz, being a cat, slept a lot, didn't wake up with the others. He rolled over, curling up, his tail whipping back and forth, muttering something about milk.
A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible.
Chaz jolted upright and nearly yelped, but remembered what Ragnir had said about speaking. He rubbed his side, glaring at Venom while gathering his things and stuffing them into his backpack.

Ragnir looks to the group once everything has been packed and the fire is out. He makes a fist and puts it about head level with his arm out to his side. He then punches Eastward and begins to walk in that direction.
Kerag fasted the straps on his axe tighter, falling into line behind Ragnir as they walked East, he looked over his shoulder, watching his companions and making sure they had no trouble beginning their journey.
Chaz fell into line behind Kerag, still rubbing his eyes. This would be a long trip, without talking. At least there wouldn't be any of those awkward pauses.
Or maybe the whole thing was one giant awkward pause. He sighed at that. This would be a long trip.

Venom followed behind everyone, eyes to the front at where they were heading to. He could only imagine the size of the dragon, if they found it, but even more the beauty of the virgins they were eating. He did not like that idea. Venom was one to love saving a damsel in distress.

The group treks through the forest. The trees stretch up high but the sun still finds ways to light up the ground. Shrubs and small plants grow near the roots of the trees.
Ragnir follows a natural path through the forest, patted down by deer or similar animals. It snakes through the fauna and seems to be a extension of the forest. Marked by a few broken twigs and some patches of crushed grass, it'd be hard to find but not so hard to follow.
A bird calls from the treetops, a high shrill call, soon joined by another. The two birds fly off beyond audible distance. A few small rodents scurry through the undergrowth.
Kerag followed Ragnir, saying nothing as they traversed the natural path. Since becoming more 'civilized' these past two decades, the skills necessary for survival out in nature were all but lost in faded memory and time. He enjoyed the beautiful scenery, admiring the bird's call, allowing the tranquility of the forest calm his thoughts. This was the first time in awhile he felt at peace. It was pleasant not having to bother with pleasantries or small talk. And so they walked, and Kerag recalled those days as a barbarian of his tribe, the simplicity of life back then, the utter brutality of it. The orc checked over his shoulder, making sure his companions were doing okay, then continued walking.
As he followed the others, Venom's eyes scanned the woods for any sign of a threat. He was their eyes on their back and did not want to be suprised by any attacks. As he continued on, he kept his hand close to his sword ready to unsheathe it if needed. Something about the beautiful scenery relaxed him. Maybe it was the trees or just nature itself, but Venom felt free.
Chaz grimaced as he walked. Nature. It was messy and unorganized, but useful. A tool, but a nuisance besides. It all bored him, so much. He wished he could be surrounded by metal again.
He tripped over a branch and nearby cursed as he scrambled back up, biting his tongue to keep from walking. He kept behind them, miserable.

Ragnir leads the group along until the sun is around 30 degrees from the horizon. He claims a fairly large clearing and begins to dig out a fire pit. He says the first thing all day, at a very low whisper,
Venom shrugged and began walking towards the woods. Apparently he was the only one capable of getting them some food, or they'd all die of hunger. He had walked not too far from where the group was and hid behind some bushes. Rodents would do them no good, since there were four of them and he bet Kerag could eat for two. It had to be a deer. He held his dagger in his right hand and waited. Keeping still with eyes ever so watchful of everything around him. Hunting usually consisted of patience, and he was used to it. It was very similar to his old days when he hunted down men. Once a deer apeared, Venom crept up to it making the least amount of sound, and if the deer became alert, he'd stay still and wait till it went back to eating. Once in range he'd jump on it grabbing it by it's long neck and uses all his weight to knock it to the ground. He'd then use his dagger to cut it's throat open. With legs kicking away from him, he'd wait till it would slowly loose strength and stop kicking. The deer now dead, Venom carried the body back to the group.
