Ama is able to part the fog away from the party's feet, giving them visibility of the ground and what they were stepping on the whole time...
Bones of all shapes and sized were strewn all over the ground, along with large web encased husks cast aside like leftovers. Some of the web casings, however, were not completely covered and the group could see the horror struck faces of two victims with their eyes pale and jaws locked.
"Who steps into our webs?" echoed a shrilling voice, "Who offers us their meat's?"
The voice seemed to come from all directions and the group couldn't properly pinpoint where it was coming from; above, below, everywhere.
"I want the stubby one, juicy one it is," came another chuckling voice. This one seemed so close that Dieter swore he felt a breath against his neck.
"Delicious, nutritious, females," another said, followed by a chilling smacking of lips, "Perfect snack they are after a main course."
Their voices came closer and closer as the branches in the trees began to shake and rustling of bones grew louder.
"Why the mask, human? Are you ugly? Not to worry, blood is all the same to us!"
"Swing that big, heavy, sword, meat, it won't do you any good in the end."
"Yes, bunch up closer together, easier for us to snatch! Like babies in a cradle."
They could hear it now, step by step that the crazed creatures were taking behind the undergrowth and in the trees. The survivalists were firmly aware that they were surrounded, with Redblade being certain that there were eight of the creatures.
Suddenly, a shadow moved from behind a tree and Dionne could just see the outline of the shape. It was certainly a spider to be sure, but not quite. Something about the monster was mishapen, but that didn't deter her from noticing the shine of its eyes and the glisten of teeth.
"Come to me, girly, I'll make it quick. Save yourself from a most excruciating pain your companions will suffer."
