You (and possibly your party) travel into the woods early morning in search of a terrible ravenous creature that has plagued a small township not far from Lorne. The people complain about blood curdling howls that can be heard at night and leaves them restless until dawn.
The Lorne Dragoons are too preoccupied at the moment, so a local authority, by the name of Selker, has set it upon himself to hire hunters and mercenaries to track whatever fowl creature this may be and, if possible, kill it.
As far as you know, the creature, whatever it is, hasn't set foot within the perimeter of the town and only a few domesticated animals have gone missing since the disturbances have started. However, this has done little to ease the concern of the people and they refuse to wait until one of them is taken in the middle of the night by whatever prowls in the deep forest.
You (and hopefully some friends) stumble upon a disturbing sight along your trek; a path brutally cleared away from a stream with broken trees and large claw marks etched into the wood.

Being new to the town of Wistvale, he knew he would have to take on a job to get some money coming in. This is better than any.
He began his journey to this small township that needed aid of some sort. Whatever this beast was that they had described to him, sounded like it was only searching for food and may not be a threat to people, but he would investigate it either way.
Upon coming across the tracks spotted, he bent down on one knee to get a better look at the tracks that seemed to have been left behind by his target. Having lived most of his life near the woods, he was pretty good at noticing things others wouldn't. He searched around for any more details as to where this beast might have run off to or any other clues that could help.

Miroslaw was always up for making some gold. He got word about a bestie terrorizing a town, and it seemed up his alley. They wanted to beast dead, Miroslaw was good at killing beasts. The rumors were a bit strange, as the beast almost seemed to only be hungry. Miroslaw found it hardly believable. He imagined it was nothing more than a wolf pack.
Upon meeting with the scene, Miroslaw's concerns grew a bit. He wondered what kind of animal they were dealing with. It must have been big to cause such damages. The villagers were frightful for good reasons it seems. He did not jump to closer investigation. Instead, he became more alert as on of the members investigated more closely.
Death is no more than turning us over from time to eternity. Whether that eternity is damnation or salvation is determined in the time we have.
"Find a clue, Shamrock Gnomes?!" Ama hollered at the man in the mask, just before she unceremoniously climbed over one of the fallen trees. Her dark cloak got snagged on something as she started walking away from the trunk, but with a quick tug she pulled it free.
The young demonkin had heard about the goings on in this part of the land and, being a little short on spending money, took it upon herself to sort things out. She had had experience killing rabbits back in Broodenberg and thought that this couldn't be that much harder.
Checking that her dagger was still securely tucked in her belt, Ama joined the masked stranger, stepping on a few scattered twigs as she went.
"Money, yeah that could come in handy" Dionne thought to herself as she travelled towards the trouble. If she can take care of herself against humans and eleves, some sort of a beast can't be that much more difficult.
Upon arriving nearby the scene, and spotting the strangers, possibly at the same task, Dionne decided to keep herself concealed. Climing on top of the trees, she stalked their little party.
"Well, at least one familiar face."She wasn't sure what she felt as she recognised Ama from the tavern meeting beforehand. Suprise and a strange warm feeling, she hadn't quite encountered before.
Upon hearing the others arrive, his head slowly turns towards where they had come from. Not recognizing any of them, but guessing they were also from Wistvale who had got word of the job, his head slowly turned back towards the claw marks he was inspecting. He had hoped it was someone from the town calling for help. Without looking at the young lady that had asked him a question, he speaks in a low voice, hoping they would not alert the beast if it were nearby.
I do not know this Sharock Gnomes person you speak of, but if you are speaking to me... I only found this so far.
He points at the marks left behind by what seemed to be their prey.

"You haven't heard of Shamrock Gnomes? Gnomes, the infamous dwarven detective? You've never heard of the case of The Giant and the Three Sticks? The Lady and the False Beard? Or even The King and the Missing Skull?! Oh my, oh my."
The demonkin girl shook her head in utter disbelief.
"Have you been living under a rock or something?"
Ama looked at the claw marks the masked man pointed to but, in all honesty, knew nothing about interpreting them.
Never.... And yes, you could say that I have been living under a rock.
For a split second, he reminisces on his childhood living in the caves with his people. Those were darker days then.
You sound like a book worm. What is someone like you doing out here looking for trouble with a beast?

I see... but at the cost of probably getting eaten alive?... You don't belong here young lady. Having to babysit you will only place the rest of us in harms way. You should go back to where you came from. This is no place for someone like you.

Miroslaw watched as the group mingled in the oddest of settings. He couldn't help himself but audibly chuckle at the girls defensiveness. The man looked much younger than himself, so he wondered what the girl would have called him. He wanted to speak up in the girls defense as it was a bit rude, but he refrained from doing so. Partly from the anxiety that washed over him at the thought, party from not wanting to join in on the talk when more pressing matters were on hand. On top of that, he also couldn't help but question the skills of the members. Little more than daggers could be seen in the way of weapons. He was skeptical that daggers would be able to match the destruction before them.
Miroslaw's vigilant nature did not waver as he witnessed the two conversing. He tried to think about the next move. His tracking skills were hardly adequate to find the beasts movements after this scene, but possibly someone else in the group possessed more prowess in the ways of tracking, “Can anyone pick up a trail from here?” He queried from under his hood.

It took a moment for Dionne to make up her mind about stepping out from the shadows. To her Ama seemed too nice to need those kind of skills, and the guy who spoke to her, she'd consider a brute. Anyone will even a little bit of brain would know not to judge a book by its cover...
Of course there was also the hooded one. He looked big, but at the same calm and serious, possibly a guard or mercenery? That she didn't know, could only guess that he wasn't a rouge. If he was, he'd do it himself.
However there was something about his calm stance to the pair arguing that made Dionne think against remaining in the shadows - if such individual as himself would be drawn here, perhaps it'd be smarter to be in a group.
There was no response from Redblade for any of them. He continued looking back at the broken trees and the direction the claw marks were facing, trying to determine which way it was heading.
