You may be reading some very old posts there. Metal magic was nerfed a very long time ago - largely due it not being necessary AND making metal armor a whole new level of risky.
Not sure if EACH thread would need its own, Gray. Maybe just one to cover them all. That way questions dont get lost in the chat.
Maybe later, once we have more threads going at once, or for bigger threads/stories we could break it down more.
But I say start with one and see how much it gets used and if it helps at all. Then go from there.
My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
Lol. That's a whole lot of everything. Should I lock the archives? I know the archives inside the archives and the archives inside that one are all locked....
Yeah, Im getting stuff from like 2011 mixed up with the new. I should just focus on the 2014 as updates.
GM NOTE:: Redblade is a known felon and escaped criminal. This can and should effect all interactions with certain people that would be aware of his status. Especially the Sentinels.
"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Alright guys, I am going to get to work on the pending changes. (Well, more work.) I'll keep you posted on progress, but please refer to the different threads and continue to have your input.
I'll release each thing as it's completed and will get people's last looks before it's put in place on the board. I ask that you remember that we cannot cater to everyone's whims but instead, are trying to provide the most, for the most people, with the least amount of complication.
An update on progress peeps. The race list is all done, save for a few refinements and editing for whatever errors were blurted out. (You know, spending 10 years state-side and being on a amercian spell chell whilst in Australia hurts my brain.)
I am moving on the skills list. I may work on rewriting acclaim and removing some of the guide content we don't need, prior to making spell lists.
Skills will be completed tonight, which means moving on to magic.
Now, you may want to start considering whether you will be converting your character, or starting over. Not all current races are available, but 99% have a very direct conversion. The race list will cater to the vast majority of race requests, or as seen to be the most popular over the years.
As for older tenure players, you may want to consider trying something new
Hey guys, just tweaking the mini profile. I lost the golden character sheet text as it was a remnant from the old site look. I am also rearranging some things. Let me know what you think.
Alright guys, we are quite literally waiting on magic to be done, then we will roll out the update. There's some work to be done in the game guide and so on, which I have started in a couple of posts.
Please, any and all input for spells would be great. Have your input now, as I'm not one for changing it again later.
Now, I wanted to address the acclaim changes. At present, I am looking at 50 acclaim to be spent by each character on creation. At creation, all skills are capped at lvl 5. Having new characters being masters of this and that, was never great for the game.
You can read more about acclaim in the relevant post in the Game Guide, as it has been updated.
But what it will mean is, you will spend ALL 50, and after that will be allowed to spend your accrued acclaim, or save it. You have to spend all of your initial 50 to prevent starters trying to avoid the cap and also, to make them more diverse.
As far as what's average, well a character with no skill points would be 'average'. Each skill point added, would make them that much better than average, with lvl ten being absolute mastery of that skill. Yes, lvl 10 is pricey. But shouldn't it be?
As you know, I am done with Magic, in that I am not going to make any more. You can read about that in the other thread, if you've missed it thus far.
I have just completed my revision of the game guide. It is simpler and MUCH shorter now. Please, let me know if I have missed anything or have any glaring errors.
What's next?
- Finish off the skills list (add weapon skills and magic skills is all)
- Polish up the spell lists and get them up.
- Review the board for any huge gaps in info/conflicting info.
- Post a 'how to' for players to adapt their character to the changes.
- Set up the shop and review current gear in game as we go.
I actually think that's it, really. I may get much of this done tonight.
