Straight Stick Blade
What appears to be a walking cane does in fact house a thin, serviceable sword. However, given this item's compromise, it is a somewhat poor quality cane and a somewhat poor quality sword. It will serve as both well enough, but cannot match the quality of greater, purpose built counterparts.
- Common Dueling blade.
Helmet: None
Body:
Zolar's Gambit
The mage-come-warlord Zolar was often criticized for not wearing heavier, more reliable armour in combat. Whilst ultimately, this somewhat lackluster item saw his demise due to that very fault, it won him many battles and duels alike. This armour is little more than clothing and looks rather plain, but has been identified as an 'item of arcane significance' by the Noctis Venator.
- Masterwork clothing.
- Recall -
- The wearer can absorb one spell targeting them (AOE or direct) by paying according to that spell's level.
- The wearer can then recall that spell and cast it upon their next turn.
- Once per day.
Gloves: None
Belt:
Ironwill Belt
Developed and common amongst Noctis Venator officers, the Ironwill belt reduces the time required to rest in order to regenerate the wearer's spells. However, it is common knowledge that dependency upon the belt can lead to grumpiness and short term memory loss.
- Grand belt.
- 1 less hour of rest required for spells to reset.
Footwear:
Darksmoke Sabatons.
There are bit a few known pairs of these boots in existence and usually adorn the feat of the likes of people you would rather not confront. They are recognizable due to boots always letting off a black, rather sinister looking smoke. Whilst they are said to be quite comfortable, they are unlikely to be considered fashionable, regardless of their fine craftsmanship and rather dashing aesthetic.
- Exquisite boots.
- Can cast Chaos Shadow Step once per day.

Deck of Solomon: Inferno Card
These flames come from the domain of an insatiable demon whose magic shares the same attribute. Powers from the hellish dimensions were mastered by Solomon, but even he tempered himself from their use for if given the chance these flames could consume the oceans.
-Once per adventure, casts a fireball equal to a Lvl. 3 fire spell.
-This attack causes no fatigue and no magic levels are required to cast.
Splash
-This attack explodes over an area of 3 meters
Insatiable
-The fire catches and burns on all targets regardless of the material and will continue to burn until nothing is left. Card holder can douse the flames at will at the cost of a round (whole action must be spent in concentration).

Background:
Above all else, Alexander is one thing... A survivor. Born to a poor family in England during the middle ages. A hard winter in his childhood took his mother from him. He spent the next few years learning to take care of himself mostly on his own as his father withdrew after her death. Upon reaching his teens he discovered a natural talent for True Magick, and used and developed these skills on his own to further help him live. It was not long, however, before someone recognized his talent and followed him home. The man offered an exchange. Money for Alexander's father, in exchange for taking Alexander on as a student. Requiring him to turn his back on his home and never return.
They accepted, and Alexander was inducted into a group of Mages called the Order of Hermes. Alexander trained with them for many years. Excelling at the politics and ritual that the Order was known for, he rose in their ranks. It was in the Order that Alexander found happiness. A home. A wife. And eventually, a son.
His happiness was not meant to last, as one day a fallen sect within the Order came to great power. Vampires. They sought to gain followers in any way that they could. Word had spread of their corruption, so he knew what they were and what they wanted. The students in his care. Believing himself more than capable, he challanged them to single combat. The victor choosing the fate of those within the Chantry. The Treme chose a man named Viktor.
The battle that ensued lasted what seemed an eternity as fates hung in the balance. Neither could long keep an upperhand on the other until Viktor called upon magick only those with vampire blood can command and brought Alexander low. In his malice and triumph, Viktor ripped the eye from Alexander's socket as forever a reminder of what had happened, then turned him there in the courtyard into a Vampire of the Tremere.
Awakening to the night as a vampire, Alexander found himself cut off from that which had made him a mage. True Magick was no longer an option. In conjunction with this loss, his student body had been transformed as well. And worst of all, when he tried to return home, he found his home destroyed and the unrecognizable remains of his family left to feed the animals. Distraught with grief, Alexander was at a loss as to what to do.
Help came in the guise of Meerlinda, one of the original Tremre to turn away from True Magick to vampirism. Seeking a tool in the politics of her clan, she took him in and turned his mind towards new studies in vampiric magick. Again, Alexander adapted well to the political intrigues of the clan and rose to some power as an Astor. The clan's internal spies and police. He spent many years in this position posing as a member of another clan known as the Lasombra inside a sect known as the Sabbat. It is here that he first learned shadow magick as part of his cover. It is during this time that he turned his mind towards vengence against his maker, and eventually his clan.
Gathering all the information he could about Viktor and his dealings, he eventually presented his case to the elders to have Viktor executed for crimes against the clan. Unfortunatly, Viktor had help of his own and knew of this plot against him. Viktor in fact turned the evidence around to make it look as tho it was all Alexander's doing.
Here again, Meerlinda stepped in to save him from final death. She convinced the concil to instead humiliate Alexander by stripping him of all rank and title within the clan. These were hard times for Alexander as he was now forced to "babysit" younger vampires of other clans on various tedious missions. All the while he kept in communication with his contact on the council and tried to rebuild his power base to once again pose a threat to Viktor.
Alexander found himself setting up a base of operations in a city on the west coast of the United States. He used what influence he had to create partnerships with other supernatural races, including mages and werecreatures. Once he felt secure, he contacted his clan, and declared his independence. Attacks were made, but with guile and bribery Alexander won out as neither could destroy the other without major losses and breaking the rules of the Camarilla (An organization of vampires from several different clans). As a parting gift from Meerlinda, he was told that his family had not perished those long years ago. In fact Viktor had also turned his wife. She did not know the fate of his son other than he lived.
Armed with this new information, Alexander began a quest to find his lost family. It is that journey that brought him to the original Menagerie, and the people he met there.
So Alexander found himself, once again, tending to "children". He was the Keeper of the Library, Master of Magick, and Creator and Seller of magickal goods to those that resided there. Here his power grew as he found a renewed connection to True Magick. Something he thought lost. He also found something else he never thought he would have. People he considered friends. Renquist/Grayell and Roland chief among them, as well as his new pupil, John Harding. He also found family in Neko. A hatchling given to him that he has grown quite attached to. She sees him as her father, and he has never disagreed with that.
Some time, and many battles later, he finally came across the location of his sire, Viktor, and his lost wife. Leading a raid on his place, Alexander killed his sire and found his wife a prisoner in the dungeons. Driven insane for centuries, her mind was gone and there was nothing Alexander knew with all his Magick that would bring her back. Holding her close and she clawed at him in her frenzy, he did the only thing he could think of to save her from her fate and kep her close to him forever. He commited Diablere. This act is done by draining the victim of blood well past death, thus drinking in a bit of their soul as well and bonding it to the drinker. Thus they were together once again.
It was not long after this that Grayell chose to depart the plane, taking some with him, but leaving others behind. Alexander opted to stay behind and watch over those that remained. Something he did for years. It wasn;t until his daughter Neko wanted to find her uncle that he began to search for the man he called friend. He was unsuccessful.
Waking one evening, he found Neko gone, with a note detailing why and how she left. Having no way to track her across the dimensions, he made a fateful choice. He went to the Man at the Crossroads. A being from the begining of time that had the power to grant any wish, but not without sacrifice. Alexander chose to give up his immortality to find his daughter and was transported to this world. It was not until the deal was done that he discovered the true cost. He had always hated his vampirism for what it reminded him of, and thus was not a loss for him. However, without his vampiric blood to maintain the connection, he lost the bit of his wife's soul that he hand held on to.
Now he finds himself in a strange land, where magick works quite differently. Weakened by the effort to bring himself here, he searches for his daughter and friend. [/color]
