Kiko continued to frown at Margrett. Oh, she wasn't angry at the other woman just puzzled by this new statement.
I can assure you I'm very direct. As to loud and forward... well, I do not feel as if I need to raise my voice to be heard. If you have to shout to command attention...
Kiko's voice tailed off. She turned to look at the Wolf unsure whether or not she should say anything more.
Eternity
“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Kiko lifted her shoulder in a casual gesture at the Wolf's words. But, she did finish the comment.
...my father used to say; the nail that sticks up gets hammered down.
She didn't say anything more after that. Instead Kiko sank down into the water. She found a place to rest her back by leaning against Grayell's thigh and closed her eyes.
Eternity
“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Grayell didn't quite roll his eyes then but he did look a little... well bothered by that statement.
Now you're just being foolish. You know plenty and be damned if you're just anything. But you can be quick to judge, or think you have someone pegged before you know them at all.
As I've said, you need to stop taking me so damn seriously. I don't think you'll ever have me figured out - but I reckon that's why you're fun. It sure isn't your endearing personality.
He laughed and it wasn't at her. He didn't want to see his drunk friend down in the dumps though.
What I do know is you're drunk. And I'm the likely candidate to get you home, or someone else will take advantage of you. Not that you'd put up much of a fight...
He laughed, she might not find him humorous but were she more sober well, this would be normal and even expected.
You're not going anywhere without me you drunk. You took the time to see me up here last time, someone has to get you home safe. And I'm not taking no for an answer.
Grayell growled just a little then, she was being insistently annoying... but nothing he couldn't forgive her for. He turned to Kiko, frowning a little.
Hm. Want to join me for a walk? I think it's time Margrett got home - and I don't think you want her staying at our place.
He chuckled then and nipped at her shoulder playfully.
