Serenity has never committed most of her travels to memory, at least not the ones after a certain way away from Highever.
Needless to say, she was useless right now.
"Well Margrett dear, I can't tell you where we are right now, but I can say this with confidence." she stepped up to her side and looked at her, "There's no long a driver to bother us in the car." she grinned.
Margrett smiled and put a hand on Serenity's cheek.
Any other time I'd take you up on that, darling. She brought her a little closer and gave her a quick kiss, then sighed, looking a little pained, if playfully so.
But if we get walking now there's a chance we could find some civilization and be much more comfortable come nightfall. She winked, letting go.
"And you call me a tease," she finished laughing a little.
She went to pick up her sword, sheathed it, and examined where they were again.
"Well, I don't know how many hours we've been asleep, if it has been several at all. Assuming it has been, walking back to Wistvale, which I think would be in that direction." she pointed down the road behind the carriage, "Could trouble us a great deal by walking. I think we should continue in the direction of the carriage, perhaps we'll even pass a traveler who could help us."
Right, that makes sense. Even if we don't, we could find another carriage or some horses to take us. She nodded, grabbing her things out of the carriage.
Let's get going. Maybe we can find someplace before nightfall. I'm not being suggestive when I saw I would rather sleep in an inn than on the ground.
She chuckled at and started, waiting for Serenity to follow her.
Serenity followed after Margrett, beginning the long trek to civilization. With their luck it might not take no more than a two hours or so. One hour if Serentiy's prayers were answered.
"Of all the rotten luck, they could have at least let the horses stay." she said now wondering where those blasted beasts went off to before the ladies woke up.
"Well my dear, have you ever been robbed in the middle of the road and forced to walk to your destination? This is my first time."
She was upset over the whole thing, anyone would be, but she tried to sound a little sarcastic and show to be optimistic if she could. Last thing she wanted to do is panic, which she would have probably done if Margrett weren't here with her.

Serenity shook her head with a little smile on her face, she took Margrett's hand and clasped it gently, "Yes, an adventure, hopefully the treasure at the end of this one is a soft bed."
She was still a little tired, even though she slept comfortably on Marg, sleeping in wagons always left her a little groggy if anything. Though her weariness wasn't as bad as it was before.
"Those bandits, I could have had an extra hour of sleep or so. Oh well, at least no one had to die, luckier for them."
It wasn't harsh, just matter of fact that the bandits got off easy. Even though her threats seemed sound, the Lady always preferred to go the clean route and not have to seriously injure anyone if she could help it, much less kill someone. Monsters she wouldn't mind so much, but the fact that she could honestly kill a person with her powers frightened her a bit sometimes.
I didn't...think you had it in you. Don't take that the wrong way. I guess I'd better stopping calling you china doll. She playfully nudged her with her hip as she walked.
Serenity giggled, "Oh well as I said before, you never had to see me fight, Margrett, and gods forbid I ever have to use my powers against you. Though I imagine it would be a fair fight, if not scaled to your advantage. I didn't know your hammer had magical properties, and you wield it with such ease."
Margrett already had remarkable strength to be able to carry that armor around, but the hammer was something else. Serenity imagined a serious blow from that would be far more fatal than that attack she used earlier on their driver.
Maybe we'll have to test that out one day. See which way it's tilted. Magic's something else entirely. Weapons don't do a whole lot against something you can't hit. She chuckled.
It's not that heavy, for me anyways. You just get used to it. Want to try holding it? She gave Serenity sly sidelong look.
"Ummm," Serenity looked down at the hammer, trying to imagine the weight of the head alone, and then picturing what it would be like if she tried to hold it without Margrett's support.
"I don't know if I should, I think I'll hurt myself if I try," she said nervously.
Her own sword once felt a little heavy for her, though she became used to it, Margrett's heavy weapon was something else entirely. It would probably break her in two if it were just dropped on her back from a short height.
The Lady didn't know what she meant by that, making a joke regarding a huge weapon, at least not at first. It might have been because she was a little tired still, but she made a good assumption that an innuendo was involved.
"Oh, Margrett, you're terrible, I don't think I've ever met a woman who would dare to make such jokes," she shook her head while chuckling, "But I don't know, what you saw before was very much an act, I probably couldn't really hurt any of those men even if I wanted to. Well, perhaps a little bit in self defense."

She looked behind her to see if the wagon was still visible, then looked ahead again. All she wanted to do was shop and perhaps get a nice dinner afterward, if they were lucky to find a town the first thing Serenity would do is rent a bed and stay the night, worry about shopping some other day.
"How far do you think we've gone already? I wasn't paying attention with our banter, and I fear my stomach may realize it hasn't had lunch yet."
