Ha, I think it'll be a while yet. We haven't gotten that far, and I don't see anything down the road....
----------------
It was indeed a while before they reached civilization. Night had just fallen when they saw the glimmer of lights down the road, a sure sign of a town. MArgrett sighed when they saw it, stretching her achy back.
Ugh. Let's just hurry up and get there...I'm bushed.
Serenity was semi dragging herself, absolutely exhausted from their long walk, so much so that she could easily ignore her hunger by focusing on the pain and ache of her legs.
Now seeing what could be a town in sight, she hurried herself along, summoning reserve strength just for this moment.
"Yes, I don't think I can feel my feet anymore..."
Margrett smiled, a little sheepishly. She thought a moment, then sighed and turned to Serenity, scooping up the mage and carrying her like a bride.
I gotcha, china doll. I've a while to go yet before I'm tired. Truth be told, she was pretty tired. Her back ached from walking and her legs were sore. She smiled, but it was a little weak.
Serenity caught her breath and put a hand on Margrett's shoulder, "Darling, sorry if I seemed upset, but really you need not trouble over me. Come, let's hurry to see if they have rooms available for the night, and possibly threaten anyone if they say they don't." she said the last part jokingly, somewhat.
She felt a little more flimsy after the sudden rush of being lifted up into the air, Margrett was much stronger than Serenity thought. Now knowing that their destination might reach an end, her body was losing its momentum, her strength was draining rapidly, her entire person desired nothing more than a bed right now.
She sighed uncomfortably and was silent until they got to town. She had been trying to help; maybe she had assumed too much. Obviously the mage was exhausted, but she was too strong or proud to accept help. Marg smiled at that. She was like that herself. Nothing wrong with that.
The town was quiet. No one was on the streets, and a lot of the buildings were starting to go dark. Margrett looked up and down the road.
Looks like there's an inn down there. How much money do you have on you?
Serenity didn't want to bother with coming up with an exact figure for Margrett,so she estimated the amount to what she remembered counting last time, "Around sixty gold pieces I believe, should be enough for a room I hope..."
The mage didn't really consider room arrangements since she didn't think they would spend the night here. She hoped the wagon service in this town wouldn't be expensive, or crooked, if it were the latter Serenity may just practice spilling blood.
Serenity looked at her for a moment, as if surprised that Margrett would dare prolong her sleep with petty questions. The woman was to tired to care really.
"Oh I don't know, I assume it'd be cheaper to share a room? Let's just do that then and get right to bed." she said with a sigh.
Her frustration was beginning to reach its peak, and a headache was brewing, but she did her best not to show it as much....though likely that approach failed.
"Yes, thank you Margrett, I'm sorry if I seem intolerable at the moment, but you suffered this day along with me." she shook her head slightly looking up with a raised brow, remembering the crooked driver. Serenity hoped Margrett understood seeing as how she was there the whole time. The guards-woman was better built for this sort of predicament, or so Serenity assumed. The Lady's patience still needed to be worked on.
"I'll be in better spirits tomorrow, I promise."
She wasted no time walking in, sitting on the bed and removing her boots. Her feet ached and stung a little now that there were out in the open air, the bottom of them were bright red. She began massaging them a little, grunting slightly at first against the pain.
"Oh this won't do at all," she turned her head to Margrett, "Do you think they could supply us with a bucket of hot water?"

Serenity looked up at her again, slightly confused at first, her weary didn't let her pick up right away on what she was trying to do.
"What? No, you don't have to do that for me, really. I can just go ask them mysel-Ow!"
She tried to stand up and start walking, but the moment she put pressure on her bare feet they cried out in pain and forced her to sit back down.
"Perhaps I shouldn't stand on them for a while," she laughed nervously, "But seriously, dear, you don't need to trouble yourself over me."
In truth the idea of Margrett massaging her feet came off as embarrassing. She wasn't sure why given their previous circumstances, but still, the idea made her a tad nervous.
Margrett shrugged and sat back, taking off her own boots and turning away from her. She was a little put off by Serenity's seeming distance and reluctance to take help.
Alright then. Be sore, if you like. I'm sure we can get something in the morning for it.
