Serenity relaxed her shoulders as Margrett put her arm around her, her eyes remembering that she was tired before. She covered her mouth to obscure a little yawn.
"Alright, don't mind me then."
The excitement from the moment drained her, now that she was calming down. Not asking, Serenity laid her head on Margrett's chest, hoping she wouldn't mind.
"Please wake me if I become a bother..." the words drifted off as she said them.
The Mage closed her eyes and eventually fell asleep.
Margrett smiled, for some reason a little embarrassed, and ran her hand through Serenity's hair a little, leaning her head back and closing her eyes. This was....nice. Sex aside, teasing and flirting aside, this was...nice.
Eventually she drifted off to sleep as well.
She awoke what seemed like hours later, shaking her head a little and yawning. She opened her eyes, blinked, and realized the carriage was stopped, while it was still bright out. She looked up....and saw a man leaning into the carriage, reaching toward her bag, a little bit of shock and fear in his eyes. Immediately, almost before she knew what was going on, her armored foot lashed out, clocking the man and knocking him out. He fell to the ground outside the carriage, and MArg heard voices, calling out and coming closer. She woke Serenity up as gently as she could, whispering urgently.
Serenity looked out the windows to try and see anyone when Margrett suggested bandits. The Lady couldn't believe the odds of bandits attacking their wagon.
"Alright, give me a moment."
The Mage searched the floor for Margrett's armor pieces and picking them up to put them back on the guards-woman. She worked with Margrett to equip the set.
Marg tightened the strap around her gauntlet, looking out of the window.
Okay. On my count. One...two...three!
She grabbed her hammer and leaped out the side. Should Serenity do it, she would see a small group of seven or so bandits, scraggly and poorly-armed, but determined looking.
Serenity followed after Margrett to greet their intruders, examining them slowly as she exited the car.
"Ha! You almost had me worried Margrett darling, I was expecting bandits not street urchins!"
Because of her, usual, kind demeanor and elegant presence Serenity more than once had to deal with troublesome men, sometimes armed, most of the time with relative ease. Unbeknownst to Margrett, was the fact that Serenity wasn't the mage's real name, but a nickname given to her as a joke by her former husband due to her quick temper. However, she has been working on it over the years.
Serenity's nobility and superiority seemed to be showing, as it usually does in order to frighten the weaker men away, and dare the foolish to try.
The Lady stepped closer to Margrett, "Now I'll ask that you all to run along, by the look of it neither of you know how to handle your pricks let alone a butter knife!"
Surely the fools could see that Margrett is holding the better weapon...
Remembering that their car had stopped she looked to the driver's seat, but not before asking, "What have you done with our driver?"
"Ah, well I suppose its a good thing we didn't fondle each other in the wagon then?" she said to Margrett, intentionally to make the driver pause for a moment and think about that.
"A crooked wagon driver from Wistvale? The shock is oppressive." she said sarcastically, shaking her head, knowing that this would turn into an investigation once she got back home.
She stepped forward a little, sighed, "Thank you Margrett dear, with any luck you won't have to bother raising your hammer."
Serenity focused on the driver, "Well, sir, this is payment for your service."
She raised her right leg and pulled back her right arm. Quickly, she stomped the ground with her heel, and right afterward threw her arm straight forward as if striking. The ground shook a little and a narrow pillar of earth, the circumference of which was no bigger than a man's head, shot out diagonally from the ground and aimed to strike hard at the man's diaphragm with enough force to perhaps knock him off the ground.

The column of earth shot out, knocking the man back several feet, unconscious. Margrett laughed and gave Serenity a quick kiss, her arm around her shoulders a moment.
That is hot, Serenity. Let's what I got. She didn't need to raise her hammer but a bit, enough to strike the ground. A shockwave went out, the ground rippling, knocking two other bandits off their feet, but not as harshly. The others got themselves together and rushed the two women, one of them pointing daggers are Serenity and the other trying to attack MArgrett with a long sabre.
"Oh my..." she said as she balanced herself briefly for the shock she wasn't expecting, much less than the sudden kiss. Still, she didn't mind it, just hoped the spark of lust wouldn't cost them their lives in the heat of battle.
"Margrett dear, you shook me up a bit." she said while chuckling.
Serenity unsheathed her sword, surprised that she actually was going to use it in this little outing, and pointed it straight at her attacker. She extended her arm at its maximum length, with the sword held straight out.
As the bandit charged, Serenity kicked the ground with her heel. The earth would shift suddenly under his step and cause him to fall forward, landing just in front of Serenity. When he did the Lady pointed her sword downward with the tip just can inch away from his face.
"Now that wouldn't be so wise would it?" she asked with a smile on her face, her tone was dreadfully velvet.
"Before you run along, which I hope you do, I don't want to stain this sword, would you be so kind as to tell me where we are exactly? I can do more with the earth than just that neat little trick you saw earlier..."
Her head remained fixed looking down at the ground slightly, but she raised her eyes to see the other bandits and raised her voice.
"That goes for all of you, the very earth is my weapon, an extension of my will. As far as you all are concerned, you have spears of rock all aimed at your hearts that will strike at once with a wave of my hand!"
There was no falsehood in her voice, nor did she attempt to make it sound like a ruse. Serenity was well capable of this feat, and she planned to not only make that clear, but that she was willing to do it to if it saved her the trouble of a sword fight.
Margrett was silent, smiling wide. The bandit that charged her found himself on the floor after she stopped him cold and smacked him upside the head with her hammer.
There was a pause, the the bandits, almost as one, ran for it. The ones on the ground tried to scramble up and get out of there. After a moment, they were gone. Margrett laughed, once, then looked to Serenity, surprised and impressed.
That...that was amazing.
She pulled Serenity close, kissing her, one hand behind her head, almost hungrily pulling her close. It was brief, but Marg meant it. She pulled away a moment, still holding her close.
And incredibly hot. You were holding out on me, china doll. She looked around briefly.
Serenity dropped her sword when, again, she was surprised by Margrett's embrace and long kiss. The threatening aura she raised was dropped instantly. The Lady was beginning to wonder if this was an uncontrollable impulse with Margrett, seeing Serenity do what she felt needed to be done in the face of danger like this.
Still, she didn't fight it, and in the middle of the kiss after the surprise, she embraced it. It took her a moment to catch her breath once Margrett let go of her. Her friend still had her arms around her, but she wasn't going to pull away right away now that the worst of it was over with.
"Well, you never had to see me fight, darling, although that could change once we find a hotel..." it was hardly the time or the place to be talking of such things, but Serenity enjoyed humoring Margrett. Sometimes, she wasn't sure if she didn't fully enjoy it herself...
Serenity looked around and like Margrett didn't know where they were.
"Well, we're still on the road aren't we? We could ride the horses into the nearest town, perhaps even back to Wistvale."
