Venom entered slowly and cautiously. His eyes scanning every corner for the goblin and any sorts of traps. They were entering it's territory and did not want to be suprised into any inconvenient situations. His head turned and he whispered to his companions.
Keep your eyes open for anything.
Their vision was very limited, and entering with a torch would easily give their position away to their enemy. His heart began to beat a little faster than the norm.
The cave was cool and damp. The sounds of the forest disappeared as they continued deeper into it. There was no breeze and little light--which emanated only from the torch. New sounds began to emerge... the dripping of water from stalactites, the echoes of footfall--and before too long, the carried sound of a yell or cry. However, the sound was silenced and did not repeat.
Rue froze at the outburst coming from inside the cave. Looking down the tunnel with her eyes wide, she tried to detect the source of the noise before looking to her companions.
The three continued and soon saw a dim light in the distance and around a corner. It flickered slightly as light from a flame. As they slowly drew closer, muted voices could be heard. Even hushed tones were echoing through the cavern walls and reaching the three hunters. Then while looking around the cavern, one of the three accidently bumped into a skeleton covered in beads. The bones and beads rattled, clattered and scattered across the stone floor--echoing loudly in the near-silence ((Who wants to take credit for it? )). A short, hushed bark was heard from deeper in the cavern and then silence filled the entire structure as everyone attempted to freeze where they were.

Jonah's vision was poor in the cave - the light of the torch was now and then being blocked by the two walking in front of him - and as he looked behind for the umpteenth time, checking for possibly sneak attacks, the tribesman walked a little off course and bumped into something...
It wasn't until after the skeleton had crashed and shattered on the ground (and after the cry of surprise) that Jonah realized that he wasn't being attacked.
He looked down at the pile of bones and beads, a little abashed, knowing that they may have just given away their presence to the things within the cave.
Venom stopped and turned his head around quickly, thinking they were attacked when he noticed Jonah stepping on the pile of bones. He lowered himself but knew it would do him no good with the torch giving their position. Turning off the torch was starting to sound like a good idea, but then they'd be left blind in the dark. Running was not an option either in an unfamiliar place and very limited visibility. He dropped the torch and tried to find a place nearby to hide, still having some kind of visibilty to see if the goblins would come to them.
Although blowing out the torch would hide them from the occupants of the cave, doing so would throw them into complete darkness, preventing them from seeing who else was in there. Rue left the torch alone and stood with her back to the wall, trying to blend into the darkness. She loaded her bow and pointed it in the direction from which the whispers came from, prepared to shoot should the goblins come out and attack.
Then there was the slight sound of shuffling and scrambling...
After that, very little was heard except the seemingly loud and rhythmic beating of each own's heart, and the occasional drip of water from the ceiling above them.
Venom's eyes kept looking around, trying to spot any goblins. He knew that they were just getting ready to attack them, and he had to do something. Looking back to his companions, he whispers to them.
Stay where you are. I'll draw them out.
Venom slowly comes out of the dark and picks up the torch, hoping that he'd get their attention if they were on to them already. Acting as if he was not worried, he slowly begins to walk deeper into the cave, hopefully not too far from the others.
Nothing appeared as Venom continued to carefully proceed forward. He drew closer and closer to the inner cave that rounded a corner ahead.
Suddenly Venom heard an unexpected noise! The distant sound of a baby fussing slightly in its sleep. A short gasp immediately followed before silence took over again. It was as if the cave itself sighed in relief... Venom knew without a doubt that anything around the corner could see the light from his torch. He had to make a decision. Would he wave for the others to join him, continue alone or go back to the others behind him.
Seeing as tho there was no danger and a baby nearby, he felt that it be best that Rue were around to not look so threatning to whomever gasped around the corner. He figured it was the baby's mother, but did not want to let his guard down. His arm laid upon the butt of his sword, ready to be drawn if needed. He waves the torch as a signal to the others to come towards him.
