Wobbling on his feet, Alec manages to stay standing as the shockwave passes beneath him. Steadying on his feet, he shakes his head and looks at "Gorak" (who names these things? I mean really...). "Well if the monk's gonna try and sweet-talk him," he trails off. "Aw, might as well."
Running to a sconce on the wall, he tears it off, crumples it, draws it into a sharply pointed stick, and hurls it at the beasty.

Sure. I get lectured about the last one but this one is fair game....
He drags his sword from it's sheath as he runs in, his head kept low. He breaks left and hurls his torch into the face of the massive creature and then circles, looking to bounce off it's leg and leap, slashing it's face or throat....
Because of Rue's arrow and the metal projectile the beast rose upwards, having simeon fly off of the back of the ugly thing. Grayell's attack missed his mark but he at least took one of it's spare appendages off. The beast roared in pain and anger. The beast lumbered over and wrenching one of the pillars free, the result causing the roof to break apart near it. Luckily the group was far enough away so they were not crushed by the falling rock. It cocked it's massive arm back and slammed the pillar in Rue's direction.

Grayell's eyes sprang wide open and without so much as a thought he barreled toward Rue, crashing into her with his shoulder and taking her to the ground as fast as he could...
Simeon honestly wasn't surprised that that didn't work. What he was surprised at was how the beast utilized the pillar. Back to Grayell's way... Simeon drew both of his blades and jumped attempting to stab each blade into the creature's back between the shoulder blades. Perhaps this would affect his arms...
Rue was regaining her balance when the creature slammed the pillar down in her direction. After Grayell brought her to the ground, she stayed motionless where she was, but poised to drag herself and Grayell out of the way if the pillar came down on them.

Diving out of the way of the pillar, Alec exhales roughly as the air is knocked out of him on impact. "He's gonna bring down the room," Alec rasps, struggling to his feet. "There's no way this place is stable to begin with, and now he's taking down supports and stomping around."
