Having followed another servant of the Noctis Venator, Redblade is taken to his room. He nods as the servant exits and closes the door behind him. Redblade takes a good look around the room before laying down on his bunk. He was exhausted from his training. Worse days were soon to come for him to continue proving his determination. It was best to rest as much as he would now that he had free time. It didn't take long before he was fast asleep.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
It is early morning and the sun begins to rise in the horizon, creating an orange sky where birds are seen flying and chirping. The sunrays slowly push the shadows away reaching Redblade´s window until they hit his face. He turns around on his bed, trying to go back to sleep. It is then that he remembers where he slept and opens his eyes to his new room. Getting up he sits up on his bed and yawns as he stretches his arms out.
It is a new beginning for me. I must make the best of it... I've made a promise and I will not back out.
He stands up and gears up before he exits his room. All he could think of was training with his new master and fellow magic students, he hoped he'd get to meet soon.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::Alexander enters the room without even a courtesy knock and pauses just past the threshold to take in the spare environs with a sneer before looking down at Redblade.::
"Have you been continuing your studies?"
My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
Laying on his bed with his head resting on his pillow, he is seen reading a book. He lowers it when he hears someone just walk in without even knocking. Raising an eyebrow at his master and then looking down towards Alex's feet, he waits to see if his trap activates before responding. He had placed it there to alarm him of any intruders at night. Its been a while since they first met and he had learned a few tricks since then.
- Sparkworks Trap - Effect: A clever combination of magic and ingenuity and quite useful for alerting the mage of unwanted company or to serve as a distraction. Range: 12 feet. AOE: 3 feet radius. Cast Time: 1 whole round, Power: The mage can plant a 'trap'. When touched or triggered, the trap will crackle loudly and let off bright sparks. The trap causes no harm. The trap cannot be seen, but can be detected. Lasts 1 hour, or until tripped.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::Alexander stands amid the showering sparks and popping sounds with an annoyed look on his face until the spell fades.::
"Are you quite done?"

Redblade smiled at the accomplishment of learning a new spell. Although his master was upset at the moment, it was a happy moment for him.
Oh sorry, Master.
He stands up and bows to him.
After reading a few books in your library, I have kind of diverted towards another form of magic. I did not know that there were so many different ones. I do plan on going back to dark magic, but I have already advanced on this one some without even realizing it and it is hard for me to go back now. Please teach me everything you know about it. It is so interesting.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::A smirk appears on his face at the formal display.::
"I am glad you have enjoyed your reading, for that is why I have come to you."
::Stepping to the side of the doorway to make room, a servent moves in behind him with an armload of heavy tombs he is barely managing to hold onto. Alexander waves for them to bet set on the floor, and once the servant does so, he leaves.::
"These are the journals of mages from history. Each had their own Path. Their own interpretation on how Magick is Worked and its origins.
I wish for you to read them by a weeks time. Study the similarities and differences and then report to me on your findings. I will expect you to have at least the beginings of your own understanding once you are done, and look forward to hearing your views."
::He turns then to follow the servant out the door.::

Redblade's jaw drops in dismay. Are they even in his language? They seemed ancient and there were so many of them. Must be read by a weeks time? Was it even possible? His master always pushed him to his limits when it came to studying and training, but he had to do it in order to one day become just like him. After it finally sets in, he walks over to them and sits on the ground taking a good look at the tombs. How old were they, who were they and many other questions came to his mind.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Redblade's room had been empty for a little over a week now. The tombs left to study by his master were scattered on the floor and on his bed, showing signs that they were being read but not completed.
Meanwhile at the other home Redblade was now staying at, after a turn of events, he is seen meditating on everything that has happened since his search for this Piper. Now being a part of his gang, what would be expected from Piper to show his loyalty and what were the thoughts of those few he had interacted within Wistvale once they got word of his actions, were his main concerns. Did he make the right decision? Part of him felt like he was forced into making the decision he made, but another part liked the idea of becoming a thief and getting back at Wistvale for what it had done to him. There was not a single person he could call "friend" there, only threats from those he had worked with and mistreatment from the Sentinels. The only person he felt bad about was his master, he took him in and trusted him to become a great student one day, but now he felt as if he had let him down. It was a horrible feeling deep inside, but he had to live with it now.
Being closed in within the house he hid in, it felt no different from being back at the Sentinel prison. Time was a tricky enemy that affected his head. He stood up and decided it was better not to ponder on the past and focus on the now and what was to come. He began to place traps on the doors and windows, before feeling some what safe and getting some sleep. Only time would tell when Piper would call for him.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::There came one day, a knock at the door to Redblade's new abode. This was quickly followed by an envelpoe sliding through the gap underneath.
Checking the envelope will reveal an invitation to a certain grand gala being held in Wistvale along with a note and a drawing of a rather expensive looking necklace.
The note reads:
Hope this letter fiends you well, dear friend. Enclosed is an invitation I thought you may be interested in.
I know I have taken great interest in the necklace whose drawing you have before you. Perhaps its time I ask for you to return the kindness I once showed you.
Regards,
-P-
There never was a Cathian of such deceitfulness and suavity
He always has an alibi and one or two to spare
Whatever time the deed took place, PIPER wasn't there!
Redblade reached for his shield when he heard the knock. It had been very quiet with no one to talk to for several days now, but the day Piper would call upon him finally came. He slowly walked over to the door, expecting the worse of maybe someone breaking in afterwards and trying to arrest him, but nothing happened. Seeing the envelope on the floor, he knelt down to open it. Reading the letter and seeing the invitation gave him a bad feeling through his whole body, for things would probably not end well with this request.
The invitation seemed to be for some pretty important people, so he figured security would be tight to get into. Walking through the front door would most likely be the worst plan to get in. He would have to get a better look and find out how he would find the necklace and get out without being detected. When night fell upon the city, Redblade exited the house taking a good deep breath of air he had not had in a while before heading out.

::The newly elected head of the Noctis Venator in Wistvale enters the room of his former student to find the books scattered and unread. He had heard of the man's arrest for assualt and had honestly not been surprised. The man had seemed too brash and lacking in forward thinking to be a fruitful member of the Noctis Venator, but he had decided at the time to give him a chance in the hopes of molding him into something useful.
Now that chance was gone. Washed away by a multitude of bad choices and very public attention.
He called back to the servant behind him.::
"Gather these books and take them back to the Library. Prepare these chambers for future guests."
::With one last look over the room, and a thought to lost potential, he turns and exits.::
My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
It was late night when Red decided to get some air. It got pretty depressing and boring to stay locked up in a house for days when just about everyone in town was looking for you. He wondered how Piper dealt with nights like these. Having men working for him, it was probably easy to have company.
Redblade placed his mask on and stayed in the shadows as he exited the town walls while some guards were not so alert trying to get some shut eye that night to slip right by them unnoticed. He wanted to test his stealth skills and climbed a tree by the main road that led to the town about a half mile away. Maybe some poor bastard was traveling trying to make it home before sunrise. Who knows, he was only looking for some fun. Patience would be a virtue for times like these, because not just anybody travels during night. He crossed his fingers hoping someone would pass right under him while he waited and looked up at the bright stars, astonished at how beautiful they were.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
It wasn't long before a hooded figure appeared upon the road, heading towards Wistvale at a leisurely pace.
Ama enjoyed the occasional night time stroll away from the lights of town; all the better to see the magnificent night sky. The stars were particularly pretty tonight. Wrapped within her velvet cloak, the young demoness didn't even notice that someone may be close by, watching.
Hearing some foot steps nearby, Redblade grinned as he prepared to pounce on his victim. Seeing the hooded figure get close and that he/she was alone only made things much easier for him, he thought to himelf. He places both hands together in front of him and whispers a spell.
Illness upon thee.
- Immediate Illness -
Effect: The mage strikes his enemy with a sudden illness, robbing them of strength.
Range: 16 feet.
AOE: One target.
Cast Time: Immediate,
Power: The target suffers a 3 point penalty to their Endurance.
