The warven nodded, understanding very well that what he was doing was the right thing to do, eventhough many wouldn't see it that way. And although he could not answer her question straight forward, he felt he needed to reply her question somehow.
He took a deep breath and then looked back at the bright stars above.
I like you Ama. You have a strong personality and seem to understand the importance of protecting those that mean the world to you. I mistook you for someone you are not, and I apologize for that. You remind me of someone that I once lost but had the same heart as you do... Don't you ever change that, okay?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ama didn't know whether to take a step towards Gnomes or away from him. The magical spell of her flower pendant necklace was starting to fade and darkness was once again creeping into her vision. He seemed sincere enough, if not an wee bit broken.
Sensing some past hurt in his life, Ama chose not to flee. She probably wouldn't get very far, very fast anyway. But nor did she move from where she stood. After all, the young demoness hadn't spent a great deal of time getting to know anyone from the spider hunting party, including Dee, so this guy was still practically a stranger in her eyes.
Although, being the curious sort she was, Ama wanted to know whom this person was that Gnomes felt the need to compare her to. If she had to guess, the blue-haired girl would have said it was the masked man's younger sister.
Redblade continued looking at the stars above remaining quiet for a while. The memory was hard to bare, and he had not spoken of her to anybody before. He pointed up to the sky at a certain star it seemed.
You see that bright star that is flickering right about there? ... She used to tell me that it was her star and nobody elses. So when ever I was away, she would tell me to look there and she'd be looking right back at me every night...
My baby sister always looked out for me that way. She was... everything to me.
His voice sounded a little different than before. It was hard for him to speak of her, and Ama could sense that. As her night vision began to fade away, she could barely notice that his eyes seemed to reflect the stars light more than before for some reason.
So... My star is the one right next to her. That little one that barely shines so everyone can see her instead. Heh!
Which star would you be, Ama?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ama hadn't had any experience in personal loss or grief; mother and papa were still alive and well back in Broodenberg, as were her six older brothers, and the only real friend she had even known, despite disappearing for a year or so, was also in good health.
In an attempt to understand the masked man's sadness, the young demoness tried to imagine how she might feel if one of her loved ones were to depart from this world. It was horrible to think about and she had no doubt that what she imagined didn't even come close to how it would really feel to have someone taken from your life.
"I'd be the sun." Ama said, after a brief pause. "Feels warmer, you know?
Hearing that Ama would choose the sun made him laugh. That was very unexpected of her, but it did change the tone a bit. He looked over to her with a smile and just shook his head.
You know.... I don't think anybody would dare to look at the sun to long and think of you. I know... why not we make the moon yours? Almost as big as the sun, and very bright for all to see.
Her name?... It was Arendelle. I used to call her just "Delle".
Do you have any family in Wistvale?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Nope. It was only me and my sister for as far as I can remember. Now it's just me... I've only arrived to Wistvale recently and became a student of the Noctis... for a period of time at least.
He felt like maybe he shouldn't have had mentioned that at all. Could spark questions, and Ama did not seem like she knew that he was a wanted criminal, and he would like to keep it that way.
What about you? Are you in any faction?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ama knew very little about some factions in Wistvale, and nothing at all about the rest. She had passed the House of Healing on occasion but had never entered the place. There was, of course, the Sentinels; protectors of the people. However, the Noctis was a new one to her.
"I don't think I'll be recruited to join law enforcement any time soon." She chuckled. A private joke. "And I have no interest in becoming a healer. Heheh. Does that make me sound bad?
I don't believe I've heard of the Noctis before. What do they do and why did you quit your studies?"
Hahaha. That makes two of us. That shouldn't make you a bad person. We all think differently, I guess.
The Noctis?... Well, you learn about magic and stuff. I didn't quit... I just... Something came up that I couldn't finish my studies.
He felt ashamed to answer that question, but he hoped it was enough for her curiousity.
Do you know anything about magic?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
So the Noctis was a school of magic. That was something worth remembering. Yes, Ama knew some magic, but her abilities were far from polished. Perhaps she could enroll in this school to boost her skills. The young demoness wondered what credentials might be required to get a foot in the door.
Instead of answering the masked man's question with words, Ama thought to put on a little demonstration. Since the world had returned to darkness in her eyes, the blue-haired Haisheth held out her hand, palm upwards, and conjured forth a small, orange flame.
- Flair - Effect: The simplest, easiest form of magic. The flair spell is often used to entertain and little else, but is commonly utilized among aspiring mages. Range: The caster. AOE: No large than six inches.. Cast Time: Immediate. Power: The mage can gesture and create a small display of magic energy. This usually manifests as a dancing flame, or a swirling, glowing mist in their hand. The flair spell cannot effect the world around it in any regard and is purely a visual effect. Lasts 10 seconds.
The fire flickered erratically for only a few seconds before disappearing.
Watching the flickering fire on Ama's palm, he had a sudden flashback of when he first started learning magic also. He smiled at her display, although he knew she would have a long way to go before becoming a great magi like his former Master. Nice little display, but I do hope you are up for the challenge. Master Ravenhurst will be very hard on you, but if you really want to become good at it, he is the best person to learn from.
He knew very well that he could not take her to his former faction. Who knew how Alex would react to seeing him again after word got out about him joining up with Piper.
It is not hard to find. You can either ask around or find the one building that everyone fears to walk by, but don't be afraid. You will do good there.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ama shut her palm. She knew her display hadn't been much to watch, but that's why she needed some training. Now she just had to find this Ravenhurst guy and hope that he'd accept an audience with her.
"Couldn't you, like, show me where it is? Tonight? Right now? I'd be ever so grateful. Plus, I'd be able to see you better if we ventured into town."
The warven pushed his back off the tree, looking as tho he were about to take her to it, but she would be disappointed. He could not walk the streets out in the open in Wistvale, even at night. His place was in the shadows now, and it seemed it was about the time to return to them.
I would love to Ama, but unfotunately I can not. I have something to attend to that is of great importance and I have already delayed myself enough having this pleasant conversation with you. You will not find it difficult to come by, and plus I would advise not to show up in the middle of the night.
He remembered clearly that night he showed up, and he chuckled.
No, you should go during the day. Trust me.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ama was a little disappointed, on the account of Gnomes not wanting to show her the Noctis building himself and, also, because she would have to wait for the sun to come up before she could go visit. She sighed, but would heed his warning.
"In that case, would you mind some company to this thing of 'great importance'?"
She knew it was kinda rude to invite herself along to something that could very well be a private matter, but that was Ama for you.
He tried to think of something to say. Noticing how she was not feeling well earlier with the spell he had cast on her, he used that to his advantage.
You could but you don't seem well at all, and if you are to go to the Noctis tomorrow, you should rest and be ready for whatever test Master Ravenhurst will have for you. It is late after all. Another time maybe, yeah?
