Ama had been looking forward to getting back to her and Vandal's shared "home", to kick off her boots and put her feet up. Perhaps she would stop by the tavern for a late night tipple first. Yeah, that sounded like a great idea!
But as she neared the town's gates, the young demoness came over a little light-headed and weak, and she felt the need to stop for a breather. Perhaps those red berries she'd picked earlier hadn't been so good, after all.
It was strange that this had happened so suddenly though...
Seeing as his spell was doing its magic on his target, Redblade jumps down from his branch on the side of the road and slowly tries to sneak up behind the hooded figure. He did his best to avoid stepping on anything that would alarm his prey and even kept an eye on his shadow created by the moon's light.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Feeling though she just needed to lay down for a bit, perhaps just go to sleep altogether and skip the tavern, Ama returned to walking the road back to town. Not too far now, and the darkness should cover her approach enough to slip past the guards at the gate.
"Mental note: don't eat the red berries next time."
Seeing as the figure did not stop he picked up the pace before tripping on a rock and falling to the ground. His stealth skills were hard to use in the darkness of night, he realized it as he fell to the ground behind her.
Ooof!

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Startled by the sudden noise behind her, Ama immediately drew her dagger and spun around. If someone was thinking of mugging her tonight they were going to be in for a nasty surprise. This demoness had had enough of Wistvale's common thieves.
"Stay back if you know what's good for ya! I'm armed and not afraid to break bones."
Ama's vision was obscured by the darkness, preventing her from seeing clearly who it was that had appeared amongst shadows. It was then that she remembered the 'gift' she'd recently received.
The young Haisheth's free hand reached for the pendant at her neck and she whispered a few words...
Brood Blossom Pendant A quaint item with a curse removed, the Brood Pendant is not as powerful as it was initially, but it's charm comes at no cost to the wearer. - Exceptional Accessory. - Can cast Chaos Pierce Darkness once per day, modified duration of 1/2 an hour. - 1 slot.

Redblade was caught red handed and he had no intention on fighting although he would probably need to defend himself at this point.
Hearing the voice did bring back a memory of someone he had met some time ago. As he slowly got back up on his feet, he held a hand out to signal to stop.
Ama? Is that you?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
At first, all Ama could see was some guy in a mask picking himself up off the ground. The young demoness' heart was thumping inside her chest, urging her on to attack or run away. The former option was the most likely, even if the need to rest her weary body was great.
Ama was moments away from knocking the stranger back to the ground, thinking that would be the best way to gain the advantage. But then he spoke her name and she was thrown into a pool of confusion.
"Huh?"
It wasn't until the blue-haired girl took a step closer and pulled back her hood that she sensed something...familiar. It was the mask!
"Hey! I recognize you from somewhere." Her dagger lowered a fraction. "Don't you work on that pie stall down the street from the town square?"
Redblade chuckled at her question. Maybe it had been a little longer than he had thought. He brushed himself off and then placed both hands on his hips. Pausing a moment to find the best way to remind her of who he was.
You really don't remember me then huh? We fought off giant spiders back then. You said you would protect me.
It felt good talking to a familiar face from Wistvale, but if she had seen his wanted posters up, she may not be as pleasant than he had hoped to see.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
A faint smile played upon the demon girl's frosty lips and, even though she didn't withdraw her dagger completely, Ama did let her arm relax at her side.
"I'm just messing with ya. Of course I remember you, Shamrock."
The young Haisheth's posture became more relaxed and amicable. Almost all thoughts of dropping the masked man had been pushed aside. Almost.
"Why are you outside the town walls at this time of night? Not looking for more spider beasts, I hope."
Seeing how she still held her dagger, it was obvious that she did not trust him completely, which made sense to him. If it wasn't the posters that she had already seen within the town, it was probably because they were alone outside the town walls in the middle of the night.
Shamrock?... Oh I remember now. Hehe. So you do remember then....
No, I am not looking for more spiders. I don't ever want to come across another one like that again. I was... I was stretching my legs. Yeah, I like to come out here at night to look at the stars sometimes. And you?
He walked over to a tree and rested his back on it, giving him space from Ama.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
As the guy in the mask increased the distance between them Ama felt she could finally tuck her blade back into her belt. She knew she didn't really need it to fight, anyway. Her hands and feet and teeth made excellent weapons on their own.
"Out for a walk."
The demoness' gaze turned skyward to admire the twinkling jewels above. The moonlight illuminated her fuchsia-colored eyes, lending to them a more supernatural appearance.
"When I was younger my mother often reminded me to take the time to view the star-filled sky, for it's vast beauty and omnipotent presence would make you feel humble and blessed."
Ama's attention turned from the stars to Shamrock Gnomes.
You shouldn't be walking out on your own outside this late.
He sounded like an over-protective parent.
For a Haiseth, the word "blessed"did not seem like a fitting word for the demon race. He looked up to the sky once again to admire its beauty as she spoke.
Your mother does sound like a wise woman,... or she's a bookworm just like you.
He chuckles underneath his mask.
Ama?... He looks back at her. Can I ask you something?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ama rolled her eyes at the masked man's words. It sounded patronizing and she didn't need a lecture about the dangers of late-night strolls. She'd made it all the way to Wistvale from Broodenberg without any.....much trouble. But that was beside the point!
The young demoness exhaled her annoyance and let it slide...this time.
"Ask away, Gnomes. I'm pretty much an open book with claws and teeth."
He paused for a moment, thinking of the right way to ask her his question. When it came to him, he took off his mask and then asked his question. He wanted her to see the truth in his words.
How far would you go to protect the ones you love?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
As the necklace's magic continued to allow Ama to see within the darkness, she clearly witnessed the masked man reveal his true face for the first time in her presence. She moved closer to him and, for a while, said nothing. Her eyes studied his features intently.
The blue-haired demoness had not seen many of his kind before. She particularly liked the two piercing blue gems that she had not before seen shine so marvelously through the slits in the mask.
Realizing that she was staring, and that she may be making Shamrock a little uncomfortable, Ama stepped back and took in the depth of his question.
"I would do anything to protect my family." There was conviction behind the young woman's words.
