((OOC: This is intended to be used as a persistant location for the goings on of the Noctis Venator Faction and its members. Along with those seeking their service or council. It will also be used to list current membership as well as known possessions.))
The home of the Noctis Venator was a large stone building made up of multiple floors both above and below ground. A small courtyard area surrounds the building, lined by a stone and iron fence. Superstition has followed the Noctis Venator here, as not a day goes by that a few fearful members of the town will cross the street to avoid walking directly in front of the building, if not avoid the area altogether.

My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
It was evening when somebody came sneaking around the town staying in the shadows, always looking back as if he was making sure he was not being followed. He was trying to remain as discreet as possible when he came to stop in front of the building. After sensing that he was all alone, he took a moment to catch his breath and leaned his back on the wall. He had been running for days now and seemed lost as to not knowing what to do next or where else to go. Upon hearing a couple walking his way, he slowly stepped backwards into the shadows of the moonlight. He noticed how they would not walk near the building for some odd reason. In fact he could sense the fear in them as they got closer but suddenly they turned around walking away towards a different direction from the building and avoid it all together. It peeked his curiosity. Had they sensed him being there? Was there someone else they were fearing that he had not sensed yet? The hidden figure raised his hands up ready to defend himself, releasing some dark energy from his body. His eyes began to scan the streets for anybody else nearby.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::It was evening, so there was no one else about on the streets, and only torchlight to illuminate the world about him. However, the iron gates in the wall surrounding the building were open and a stone path led to a set of stairs leading up to a heavy set of front doors::

After realizing no one else was around but him, Redblade noticed the stairs and then cautiously walked up the stairs towards the heavy set doors. He paused for a minute wondering if it was a good idea or not to knock and find out what was inside. Maybe no one was at home, so he tried opening the door quietly.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::Redblade would find that, like most buildings at night, the door was locked...
He would be able to notice strange engravings covering the doors and the frame about it. However, he lacked the knowledge to determine what they meant, if anything.
In the center of each door was set a large metal ring to be used as a knocker.::

So it seemed the building was not abandoned after all. He took some time trying to figure out what the engravings meant, which only peeked his interest even more. He had to find out why this place was so creepy to others. His right hand raises and grabs hold of the metal ring, giving it to hard knocks, hoping someone would answer.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::For a long moment, there is no answer. Just as you are thinking no one is going to answer, one of the doors opens the width of a body and a tall pale man in servants garb can be seen.::
"Welcome to the Guildhall of the Noctis Venator. How may I assist you at this late hour?"
My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
Redblade was just about to turn away when the door slowly opened. He bowed his head and placed his left fist on his right hand's open palm.
Goodeve-... He pauses as he notices the large feet the servant had and then slowly raises his head, measuring his size in shock. ...ning. Well aren't you a large fellow. I appologize for the lateness, but I wish to have a word with the owner of this building. Would this be you?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
"Is this...an emergency of some sort? Most visitors come at a more appropriate hour..."

So he's asleep?... Well, I just got into town and.... I don't really have a place to stay. I was wondering if he would kindly provide a humble stranger some food and shelter for a night? I have been traveling for a few days now and am really tired and really don't know my way around here and as you said its kind of late to be asking and looking around these streets. I will accept anything he is able to offer and repay him in some manner before I depart.
Redblade remains standing there, wondering if his request would be answered.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::The servant stepped back with a sneer and began to close the door in the face of this beggar looking for a handout. He stops short when a voice is heard calling from behind him, further into the building.::
"Garris.
We have a visitor? At this hour?"
::Garris flinches at the sound of the voice behind him. Whether it was out of surprise, or actual fear of the man the voice belonged to, you do not know.::
"Only a beggar, Regent, nothing more. Looking for a handout."
::Garris continues to try and close the door when another hand grips it and pulls it back open. Standing behind Garris is a man in dark robes with hints of silver and deep red. His hair is long and black as night. He has a patch over one eye with a tattoo surrounding it.
He gazes down on the figure in the doorway with a look that makes you feel like you're being judged. Appraised.::
"He does not have the look of a beggar, Garris.
Tell me, childe, why have you really come here to the House of Magi?
My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
Upon seeing the man in dark robes, Redblade once again bows in the same manner he did before to Garris and remains still as he speaks.
Good evening my kind sir. I really do apologize for the inconvenience I have caused, but I can assure you that I am not a beggar. My name is Re-...(He pauses for a moment as he realizes he wants to earn the man's trust and decides to tell him his real name)...Sen Viette.
I am not from around here nor do I have a place to stay or family to go to. I am but a bastard in this world of war. I've come across this town by accident as I fled my village days ago, when it was attacked. I don't want to be a bother to you, but I realized something odd about this place that other people fear. I was curious to find out why and what these engravings on the wall mean. You say this is the House of Magi?
Redblade lifts his head to look at the man in his eyes, noticing the patched eye with the tattoo around it.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
"I did say that. And that should be explanation enough for you as to what the markings you are so interested in might mean.
Now that you know what we are, you will understand that we are not a boarding house, but a place for those that display an aptitude for the Arcane Arts.
I suggest you go find somewhere else to stay, or learn the foolishness of telling a stranger that no one would miss your presence."
::The dark man starts to turn away from the door as the servant begins to close the door in your face...::
My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
Redblade quickly places a hand on the door to try and hold it open to just make one last request to the Magi.
"I am interested in the arcane arts!"
Hoping his words would be heard, Redblade stares at Alex's back.
"I do not care if you give me a roof to stay in or not, but I am searching for a master in the arts of dark magic."
