Zaedus cracked a wry smile and Deerfield's remark. Standing a bit haggardly now and still grasping his side he placed a hand on Deerfield's shoulder.
"Aye, that you did. Welcome aboard new blood."
((Short, but sweet and it got the point across. Excellent work Deerfield I enjoyed the brief RP. Factions are still needing work so this will not be an official indoctrination. However this can be used as part of your character story by saying Zae and Alex met and what not.))
It was unusual for Dionne to have nothing to do, yet today was such an occasion. She was wondering around the town, when she heard about the Arena. Having nothing better to do, she decided to see what it was about, and hopefully find something to do. To Dionne it seemed like a possible place to earn some coin.
Once there, she sat above the Arena, just waiting for something to happen.
Seeing as the Sentinel event had come to an end, Redblade was tempted to challenge one of the soldiers. Were they really all that? He wanted to test their strength and got up to jump down on the training ground floor but then noticed someone entering the arena at a distance. It didnt seem as if she had arrived with anybody, and he wondered if his master would not approve of such an incident with the Sentinels anyways. So he decided to approach the woman instead. He walks over to her with confidence.
Hey... If you came to watch someone join the Sentinels, it appears that you have arrived late. I hope it wasn't someone that important to you.
"Stupid", he thought to himself. He was not good at starting conversations, but thats all that came to his mind at the moment.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
" Just looking for something to do, sir." Dionne didn't trust the shady guy, but was going to be polite regardless. Wondering what he wanted, she became quite suspicous.
" Rather bold, probably some brute." She thought to herself.
He scratched the top of his head for a second as he turned his head away to look down at the training grounds. Being that the Sentinels were leaving now, they would have the whole floor to themselves. Getting an idea he turned back to look at the lady.
Well, if you are looking for something to do, I've got an idea. I am in need of practice, and well... I am wondering if you have nothing better to do if you could help me with it.
Not to offend you or anything, but do you happen to have any fighting experience?
Noticing the blades she carried, maybe that was a stupid question. He was really not himself around women, something about them just made him act clumsy for some reason.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Redblade was not expecting that at all, but he knewthat she would not be dumb enough to kill him within the Wistvale walls and especially in front of most if not all the Sentinels for that matter. Seeing the grin only made him grin back at her. Looks like she was having fun already.
Great. Follow me then and we shall see soon enough how well you know how to use those.
He raises his hand slowly and with his index finger slides the sai away before he walks down the stairs and onto the training grounds. After finding an area big enough for them to spar, he stops and begins to stretch facing her.
Redblade... Its my nickname. Dont tell me yours yet... I'd like to earn the priviledge of knowing yours, only if you see me worthing of knowing it once we've finished sparring. Is that okay with you?
He was not sure at all how well she knew how to use those weapons, but he did worry that she would not hold back and could probably cut him bad.

The mouthy stranger and the cocky stranger (which is much the same things, kids) weren't the only new faces in the training grounds. Ramir has also arrived some time during the indoctrination and had sat quietly in the stands, keeping to himself. He wasn't here to pick a fight but instead, was looking to confirm something or rather, a someone.
Still, he was a little curious as to the caliber of fighter that might lurk around such Wistvale. It didn't concern him greatly, but he wasn't anticipating being impressed. People who spoke too much often did too little actual fighting.
So he remained, seated in the stands, his hood drawn up to keep the sun from his eyes as it was altogether too bright for his liking. A night of drink may have factored into that.
Dionne put her blade back and gave him a nod. It might even be enjoyable , or at least, giver her something to occupy her mind.
"I still don't see your weapons, Red?" Dionne wasn't all that confident in her hand to hand combat, but with the blades it was another matter. Regardless , she followed him down and got into her fighting stance.

Redblade laughed. He stopped stretching and raised his right fist first and then his left at Dionne.
Here they are... These are my weapons.
He smiled at her, which was actually weird because he was not the kind of person who would smile. It was actually kind of scary seeing the smile, but he did it knowing that it was only towards someone he felt he would probably become friends with in the near future. She did end up accepting his challenge anyways.

Ramir didn't see any smile, due to the mask being in the way (). Interesting though, this guys was either very good, or very stupid. He didn't have the range, didn't have the edge (in a very literal sense) and somehow, he doubted the girl was going to be any slower with her unorthodox blades.
Ramir decided it was worth sticking around now, if only to see just what a mess this might be. That, or maybe he'd learn something he wasn't anticipating.
Dionne took a spin, checking her footing. This guy was either mad or genius, and she had difficulty trying to figure out wich one it was.
"I'd hate to kill you by accident. Are you sure about this, these ain't toys..." She killed before, but it wouldn't make sense to do so in a training area. Why would he fight without weapons?
His feet began to hop as he cracked his neck to the left and then to the right. Looking straight at her, he prepared himself for what was to come. He felt confident with his defensive techniques and awaited her attack.
I'd hate for you to kill me too... I am ready. Come at me.
He continued hopping as he kept his eyes on her posture, waiting to see how she would attack him. The best offense is defense he thought to himself. He knew he would have to unarm her quick to get the advantage.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ramir shifted his body a little, leaning both elbows on his knees and knitting his fingers in front of his chin. He was analyzing their potential already and his teacher was ringing in his ears.
"Study them. They'll give everything away. If they don't, then you've got a fight on your hands."
He'd found those words to be true. Right now, he was bewildered. If you're willingly fighting unarmed against an armed opponent, you need to set the pace and force them beyond their comfort zone. Close inside the weapon and remove their power.
If this character thought otherwise, he might be in for a surprise, as he was likely only making her more wary.
Miroslaw made a quiet entry into the stands. He originally catching wind of a friend attempting to join the sentinels. It looks like that train had passed, but he noticed two other individuals looking as if they were getting ready to fight. He truly had nothing better to do for the time being, so he grabbed a seat.
His hood was up as he starred down at the fighters. A masked man with no weapons and a girl with some strange blades. It should be, at the very least, an entertaining minute. Fighting with no weapons always crossed Miroslaw as an odd and usually ineffective style. He did not hold much hope for that to be changed.
Death is no more than turning us over from time to eternity. Whether that eternity is damnation or salvation is determined in the time we have.
