Zhara's grin quickly turned into a growl. She had never liked being yelled at for no reason and much less so after not being able to finish her nap. The girl on the ground shouted up in an equally annoyed tone,
"Listen pal! I was actually napping when rudely waken up by all of your commotion."
The girl stood up to her full 5 foot height squaring off - as much as she could - with the man.
"When I heard the scream, I was trying to see if I could help someone in trouble. I didn't know that that someone has a death wish."

Aegil bit back a sigh as she took in the whole scene. The assassin was still coated thickly in crimson bile, with the dead trolls weight crushing his chest no doubt. As much as she was tempted to walk away she knew that was not a favorable option. She required allies after all, and this was an opportune moment. Though the noisy bickering was upsetting her migrain.
"If your both done acting like spoiled children..." Her voice was a soft eerie tone yet surprisingly clear and sharp with annoyance. Her free hand ground scarred fingertips into her temple as one eye of steel narrowed at both of them from a parting in her hair. She stepped closer and knelt beside the gatherin, robes pooling in a dark pile as one knee sank to the earth.
She placed the battered staff aside, both gloved hands winding and rolling around the shadows at her feet. She doubted she had the physical strength to move such a corpse, so she decided to make up for this with magical strength. Still, it was a heavy wave of dizzyness that washed over her from the effort of slipping a simple sheet of shadow between corpse and man, attempting to slide the thing aside. Her chest burned and she struggled not to cough, failing miserably as her short breaths turned into wheezing rattling hacks that sprayed large drops of blood across the crisp blades of grass.
Her already irritating migraine became agonizing and spots danced before her eyes, arms trembling with effort. She could only pray the corpse was not too heavy. "A.... a little help on... on your end... would be nice..." she hissed at the pair with sharp annoyance. (Leaving it up to Neko whether or not Aegil succeeds... but feel free to contribute some effort...)

The girl jumped a little at Aegil's voice. Her eyes widen as she finally noticed another person right next her. The new girl's choice of words annoyed Zhara. Then again, many things annoyed Zhara right now.
The tiny mage grumbled while watching Aegil trying to move the giant corpse. Zhara was mentally taken aback at the sight of the corpse. I guess that was what made the blood curdling scream. Zhara thought to herself. She rushed to the other girl's side at the beckon for help while quickly debating to heal or help move the darn thing.
Without a second thought upon seeing Aegil's wheezing and coughing, Zhara swiftly placed a hand on the struggling girl's back and closing her eyes. Zhara might not have a lot of healing powers, but she silently summon as much magic as she could to ease whatever ails Aegil's and also hopefully give her back a little of strength.
::Aegil struggles, but succeeds in lifting the corpse from Ferin. However, before she can move it to the side, she feels the hand of the young woman on her back and a feeling of warmth spreading out from the touch and into her chest.
Also of note, the passing rumbling beneath their feet have ceased. Whatever was happening down there had apparently finished...::
Silent as a shadow on padded feet...

Aegil fell back, a trembling sigh of relief passing her lips before she can catch. Her mind catches up with her body, feeling the alien touch and she immediatly jerks away with a loud hiss, crawling away from the womans touch. "Keep your hands to yourself!" She snaps, her voice ragged and laced with a hint of fear. Wobbling slightly she snatches up her staff and stalks a few steps away with a furious growl mixed with her her own frustration.
She stands still a moment, noticing the sudden silence and immediatly forgets her own troubles. Aegil crouches low, hand tangling in the crumpled blades and she squeezes her eyes shut, listening and feeling for any further tremors. "I think its stopped..." she murmurs more to herself then her so called company.

Ferin [M:10:50:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?board=cs&action=display&thread=855]The shadows conceal many secrets.[0:Out Cold][1:Present]
Ferin grit his teeth and placed his palms to the ground in order to push himself up. The pain had seemingly intensified, but it wasn't enough to render him entirely immobile. Without waiting for anyone's aid, he made to push himself to his feet.
Zhara rolled her eyes at the woman's reaction. Then, upon seeing Ferin struggling she didn't know if her healing powers as little as they would be welcome or shunned like Aegil did. The young mage got up and shook her head saying, "Everyone's a tough guy. Yup, everyone'd rather die than accept a little help."
Zhara glanced back at Aegil, "You're welcome. I didn't know you'd rather die than accept a little healing. Sorry for trying to help. Geez!"
The young girl stood still debating in her mind whether she should leave these two alone and go on her merry ways or stay and make sure they make it out alive. Zhara wasn't that skillful or powerful of a mage, but she could hold her own. Of course, should anything happen the power of three was always better than two. Still, these two seemed like two "lone wolf" kind of people. Zhara wasn't too much of a social butterfly herself, but she knew there were strength in numbers. Also, she would never turn down a helping hand.
Feeling resolved, she decided to let them take the lead.
"So, if you two are done showing off your tough exterior," She folded her arms together looking at them for direction, "what's next?"
::The tremors beneath the ground had ceased, and nothing new emerged from the hole the troll had come from. Ferin and Aegil would notice (since they were on the ground when the tremors came) that they all seemed to be heading in a similar direction.
Back towards Wistvale...::

Aegil swore profusely and leapt to her feet gathering her things in a rush. "Theres more. Heading for town" she snapped and ran off in the direction. No way was she letting her 'home' be damaged by those beasts afterall.
Revenge is a knife you point to your own heart It's a poisoned dish you wind up eating yourself...
"That's one tightly wound girl," the young mage commented staring at the Aegil's back. Her urgency did have a cause for concern though. Since Zhara had nothing better to do and been wanting to explore the town anyway, the young girl chased after Aegil.
Zhara only hoped that whatever it was that awaited them in town it wouldn't be too much for her to handle.
((Ferin is staying behind to tend his wounds. So continue without him for the moment please.))
::As Aegil raced towards town with Zhara following close behind you hear screams ahead of you and you remember the farms that ring the walls outside of town. As you break through the trees you come upon the closest one to you. ((The furthest from town))
Chaos reigns here as several of the little creatures have come up from the earth to harass the farmers. Trails of turned earth can be seen that end on holes much like the one the troll had emerged from in the clearing. There is a barn to your left and a farmhouse to the right. There are two trolls gathered at the door to the house, where the screams are coming from inside.
Three more are circling the barn, trying to find a way in.
The bodies of dead animals litter the yard. Chickens mostly, but the remains of a dog can also be seen. And a troll sits amid them, gnawing on the leg of a human.::
Screams...The screams pierced through the air like a knife. Zhara felt a chill running through her skin, and she usually didn't get rattled often. Today hadn't been a good day. First, she didn't get to finish her nap; then, she got told off for being helpful, and of course the sight of the troll didn't help the matter. Now, emerging from the trees and taking in the sight in front of her, Zhara didn't even think. She just ran towards the scream from inside the house.
She didn't know where Aegil was. The sight of the trolls and the carcasses whether they be human or animal had blurred everything. Still, she shouted hoping the girl was somewhere near her,
"I'm going into the house. Do what you can!"
Zhara tried to gather enough dirt and rocks from the ground to pelt at the trolls. The mage also tried to summon a little help from the wind to give her a little speed.

Aegil [M:53:440:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?board=cs&action=display&thread=853]Everything Casts A Shadow...[0:In a rare occurance I am unavailable][1:As usual I am available]
Aegil froze as she came upon the scene. The blood and bodies reminded her of a similarily ravenged town from long past. Numbly she could hear Spectre telling her to snap out of it, but all she really heard wasthe screams.. the sobbing. Aegil swayed and nearly fell over when Zhara darted past, snapping her to attention. She couldnt think about that right now. She had to do something.
She left the house to Zhara and headed for the barn, the site of the trolls circling making her stomach twist. She ran up to the nearest one and tried to hit it with her staff. If she could get their attention she might be able to buy time. Immediatly she ran back to create some distance, not bothering to check how angry she might have made it, and moved closer to whatever shadow she could. She paused and eyed the creature while pulling the shadow and preparing it, running through various strategies.
Revenge is a knife you point to your own heart It's a poisoned dish you wind up eating yourself...
::Zhara set a quick pace with the help of the wind and reached the house before Aegil neared the barn. The young mage gathered up dirt and rocks from the yard and sent them at the trools gathered about the door, but diverting her will between two forces of magic meant less power to each and the clumps of dirt and stones fell harmlessly from the hard shells of the backs of the creatures.
It did, however, succeed in getting their attention as they turned as one to rage at the young woman before them. They split in two directions, one circling to either side of Zhara, before each reached out with hooklike claws to rake at her for either side.
Aegil made it to the barn and wacked one of the trolls on its hard back with a blow that let out a crack from the old wooden staff she used. She managed to dance back away from it as it turned. The other two circled to either side of her, to try and trap her while the third roared and lept at her, rolling into a tight ball in the air as it came sailing at her.::
"Whoopsie daisy!" Zhara says when she saw the trolls clawing the at her while forcing all her power at ground underneath her to launch her up and over the trolls. Zhara aimed to bypass the trolls to get inside the house.
The people trapped inside the house were the young mage's main priority.
