Ivy gave the man a look before quickly opening the door and slipping out, holding it for Gru and Hex if they were following before taking off at a quick walk in the direction she needed to go to retrieve the coins for the crazy, deaf old man.
::The old man said the settlement had been north of town. Should either of the party ask anyone they will gladly tell them about an apparent raid on a roadside Inn and its surrounding buildings about a days ride north along the main road.
Hex, for some reason decides he is no long interested in this adventure and goes off to find something else to do.::
Ivy glanced up at the wolf, smiling at his question. "Never seen one. Its going to be a new experience." she seemed excited about fighting something new. "Have you ever fought one?" she looked around as they walked and saw some people, but as was usual for Ivy, she didn't think of going over to them and asking any questions.
"Many times, but never because I'd ever wanted to." Gru said as the two of them headed in a northernly direction. It was funny really due to the fact the young wolf had only just come down this way. "They used to get too close to my clan's territory so a group of us would venture out and scare them off. A swift bop on the head with this-" He raised his wooden staff, "-would generally do the trick.
Tell me, Ivy. Do you have much fighting experience?"
::As the pair headed north out the main gate, one of the Sentinels on the gate gave them a parting wave before turning back to the man he was speaking with.
The road opened up before them, and it would be a long walk before reaching their destination. Gru, having just come down this way could remember seeing a small roadside settlement that had appeared to be in the midst of rebuilding on his trip to town.::
Ivy gave Gru a bright smile. "I know how to fight. Er, use my bow." She frowned, thinking. Strange, but she realised she didnt actually know how to fight, but she sure did know archery. She would need to fix that. Shrugging, she looked at Gru. "I enjoy danger. How about you? Can you fight well?" She doubted he was like her, not many people enjoyed fights and danger like she did.
The Summerwolf gave an informal but friendly salute to the Sentinels as he past through the gates. It was not meant to be disrespectful in the slightest.
"I can fight but I don't get a buzz from inflicting harm. It should only be something we do when we have to protect ourselves and the ones we care about. Trouble isn't something you should go looking for." Gru paused. "But with that said, the rush of adrenaline can be a good feeling sometimes."
As he and Ivy headed down the road, he kept an eye out for the small, under-construction settlement. Someone there might have some news on orc activity in these parts.
"Are you a resident of that town, Ivy? Or do you live close by?"
((Awesome!)) Ivy frowned. "I dont fight to kill. I wont kill something without a reason." her thoughts went to Seras last day in her old village and she shook her head to clear the image of the dead boys. "I live in Wistvale, I moved there not too long ago. Do you? I havent seen you before." she turned and looked at him face on, walking backwards. "I like your eyes. Did something happen or were you born like that?" she hoped she didnt sound rude, she was just curious.
"I'm not from Wistvale." Gru explained, using his staff like a walking stick. "I have only been down here for a few days. I travelled from the frostlands in the north because, ever since I was a cub, I have yearned to explore the warmer parts of this land. It's the reason my clan gave me the name Summerstorm."
The Worgen laughed when Ivy mentioned his eyes. Gru had become used to people pointing them out.
"I was born with mismatched eyes but it doesn't affect my sight. Despite the obvious difference between my eyes and those of regular Worgen, I was never treated badly because of it which I'm very thankful for."
::Hours passed as they walked until finally around nightfall they can see lights ahead through the trees. As they get closer they can see an Inn that even in the dark is plain to see was recently repaiered with new stone and as yet unpainted wood. A similar look accompanies the outlying buildings that serve as a small shop, stables, and other such neccesities. There is no one outside, but the light of fires can be seen coming through the windows.
As you enter, you walk past the newset edition to this small settlement. The graveyard.::
Ivy eyed the graveyard, shoulders tense and hand reaching behing her to hold onto her bow. It looked much better then the other graveyard she had been in fairly recently with Hex and Sera, but she wasnt going to take a chance; especially if the crazy, dead looking man with the female skull was around. She didnt take her gaze off the resting place of the dead, and her pace picked up. "We should hurry." she said to Gru as she started walking even faster.
Gru kept his smile hidden as he quickened his pace to keep up with Ivy. The wolf knew that cemeteries gave a lot of people the heebie jeebies, but they had never frightened him. Could've been because he'd never had any trouble when being in one.
::As they approach the Inn and step up onto the porch, a hooded figure steps from the shadows around the corner. It appears slightly built beneath the traveling cloak it wore, but what really caught Ivy and Gru's eyes was the pitchfork leveled at them.::
