::Having seen that it had worked so well for one of his fellow merchant, an old man with a hunched back and thin wispy hair that somehow managed to grow out straight from his head in defiance of gravity made his way to the local bulletin board. There, directly over some request for help in finding herbs, he placed his own notice, covered in soot...::
Welcome Attention Adventures!
AsiAsci Help needed in locating item critical to the success of my latest venture!!
GreatGood Reward for all!!!
Merille's Mechantile!!!!
::The man stepped back to survey his work, and with a firm nod to acknowledge a job well done, he turned to go back to his shop.::
Ivy had stopped by the bulletin board and noticed a new notice had been posted. Curious, she peered up at it and read it, eyes lighting up at the thought of more adventures. With a happy grin, she spun and started off, having looked around a bit she had a fair idea of where this store could be. It didn't take her too long to find it, and she pushed open the door and walked it, barely holding back her interest. As soon as she walked in the store, she looked around. "hello? I saw your help wanted sign for the item. My name is Ivy."
Hex [M:40:1020:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=483&page=1#17914]"As the iron leaves fall, our attack will spring..."
Out and about, running errands and whatnot, Hex was growing tired. He didn't want to keep delivering bread to the old lady across the street, or help the little kids make toy swords from branches and twine. But, alas, he has a good heart and this obviously shows it. It brings him emotional pleasure, but it's rather physically taxing. However, he spotted one of his compadres across the way.
"Howdy stranger! What'cha doin'?"
However, she must not have heard him as she went into the store. He walked over to where she was and saw a sign. Reading it, she must have been trying to help out. Hex had a few, so he decided to follow in her footsteps. He followed her into the store, just as she introduced herself.
"And I'm Hex: Elementalist extraordinaire! How may we be of service?"
Gru couldn't believe his luck. First day in town and he'd just found himself a job that didn't sound too difficult. With a wolven paw, he lightly scratched below his chin as he read the notice again.
"Merille's Merchantile." The Worgen muttered to himself.
The store must be nearby. Gru asked a young woman who walked past if she knew of it and with a smile she pointed him in the right direction. There were other people in the store, a short blonde girl and a guy with brown hair, and Gru secretly hoped they were here to shop and not to take the job.
::The shop is full with odd haphazard stacks of scrap metal pieces and jars of ball bearings and other such items that one may find in a blacksmith's as far as tools.
No one can be seen as you first enter, but you can all hear noises coming from the back that sound like metal grinding against metal.
"HUH!!! WHAT DID YOU SHAY! JUSHT A MOMENT AND I'LL BE RIGHT WITH..."
::BOOM!!!
A cloud of black smoke and soot billow out from the back room as a now even dirtier hunched old man comes out from the back, wiping his hands on an old leather apron that does not appear to have seen a clean spot in quite some time.::
"WELCOME TO MERILLE'SH MECHANTILE! CAN I INTERESHT YOU IN SHOME FINE METALWORK!?"
Ivy blinked at Hex, suprised he was here, then turned her attention to the man who seemed to think that the three of them were deaf, wrinkling her nose at his appearance. "Um, Hi. My name is Ivy, I saw the sign you posted? I would like to help." She spoke rather loudly, not yelling though. "Hi, Hex" She added, turning to him and offering a smile. There was a Worgan here she hadnt met, and she turned to him now. "Hi. Im Ivy." She smiled and looked back to the yelling man.
Hex [M:40:1020:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=483&page=1#17914]"As the iron leaves fall, our attack will spring..."
Hex laughed as the man supposedly tinkered around with something as it exploded. He wiped the tear he shed from laughter before introducing himself to the man again.
"Hey, my name is Hex. Hex Synn, at your service. This is my good friend Ivy!" Hex put his arm on Ivy's shoulders as if they were best buds.
He turned around as a Worgen walk in, giggling as he attempted to make friends with him. He hadn't seen a worgen in a while, and thought this might be a good time to exercise his charm, or lack there of. Hex, being a relatively smooth talker, spoke up to him.
Gru was relieved when he saw the old man appear from the back unharmed. The two other people in the store were very welcoming and the Worgen found their friendliness infectious.
"I'm Gru Summerstorm and yeah, I'm here about the job. Need some gold for supplies, you know?"
Ivy rolled her eyes and took a few steps towards the man, freeing herself from Hexs arm. "WE ARE HERE FOR THE JOB!" She shouted loudly, hoping the man would hear this time. Honestly...she didnt think it was a good idea for someone to be running a shop if they couldnt hear anything. Then she scowled at his back. "AND IM NOT A KID!" She added, turning to give Gru a smile. "Nice to meet you." She told him.
Gru couldn't help but chuckle at the old man and at Ivy. It was good to laugh.
"Nice to meet you too, Ivy." The wolf looked down at the blonde girl and extended a paw. "I sense that you are a tiny bit tense."
Hex [M:40:1020:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=483&page=1#17914]"As the iron leaves fall, our attack will spring..."
Hex laughed again at the man's accent, but it correlated more with Ivy's anger. She is always angry, it seems. Why is that? Is she just a hot headed person? I mean, Hex isn't a chill guy all the time either, but he always wondered why she got worked up over the littlest things.
"We are here to help, cause you want it."
Hex spoke a little louder but not rudely in any sense. He turned to the worgen again and smiled.
"So, you need gold too eh? too bad it doesn't grow on trees."
((Guess Neko wont mind if we just have our characters talk while we wait for monday)) Ivy quickly shook the wolfs hand, shooting the man a look at his back before turning her attention to Gru and smiling. "I hate being called a child. And Im just excited for a new adventuer." she sounded really excited, and started wondering what danger there would be on this journey, if it was going to be a journey, now not listenign to what Hex and gru were saying.
::While Ivy was turned to face Hex and Gru, she felt something move up really REALLY close behind her and start messing with her hair and prodding her in various places. Turning, she is face to face with the old man who had a magnifying lens over one eye and was looking really closely at Ivy's face...::
"NOT A CHILD! FASHINATING! SHUPERB CRAFTMANSHHIP! I SHEE NOT ONE HINT OF LINESH AT HE JOINTSH NOR HEAR ANY SHOUNDSH OF THE CLOCKWORKSH WITHIN! AND SHELFAWARE! WHAT A FIND!
ARE YOU GNOMISHH IN DESHIGN?"
::The old man was practically hopping in his excitement and was not paying any attention to Gru or Hex at the moment as he was caught up in his obsession...::
