She walked up to Zane, "Now, shall we get going? I've no more love left for this tomb." with a brief smile on her face, she continued down the dark hall, all the while thinking of what could possibly beat the acid pool they just walked across.
As they walked, the same voice came over crystals that lined the ceiling.
Psychic storage. Brain mapping. We should have been working on it ten years ago...*cough* I'll say it once, and I'll say it again so every one of you can hear me a hundred times. If I don't live long enough for you to pour me into that crystal, I want Caroline to run this place. She say she can't...*cough*...she's humble like that, but you make her.
Of all the graveyards in all the towns in all the world, she had to walk into mine.
The room opened up into a large cavern with a single huge yellow crystal in the middle. It glowed dimly and had various wires and pipes strapped to it. Nothing else in the room was of interest.
Of all the graveyards in all the towns in all the world, she had to walk into mine.
There was something about the large gem that bothered her, with the way it was attached to so many pipes and wires. It almost looked like a heart on the verge of death.
Carefully, she eased closer to it to the massive crystal, to see if it would also give instructions like all the rest.
Zane follows Serenity into the room. When he hears the crystal speak, he stops and looks at it funnily
"Why would you ask why we're here? We were exploring the ruins, and then got dropped into this madhouse. After that it was a straight shot to here. So... Not like we could help it."
"Moron?! YOU nearly killed us just so you can use my body?! What kind of thinking is that? If I died you couldn't use my body at all. You're the moron! And you're fat!"
Serenity had begun to grow incredibly impatient with the place, especially after the nearly being torn in half bit, and especially at the fool promise she took that there was something of value here. The only thing valuable was this damn crystal in pieces.
She nearly even killed Zane, while that was the mage's own fault entirely, she was going to place the blame on this thing.
"Fine then, I'll make you release us!" she looked to Zane, "Cover your ears!"
Serenity took in a deep breath through the mouth and down into her gut, her diaphragm expanding as she did. The mage took in enough air until the tension within her body was at its capacity. Then she screamed.
A powerful bellow of air erupted from Serenity, equipped with a high pitched scream capable of shattering any glass within reach in seconds. Though the thing wasn't glass exactly, the force of her attack might be enough, coupled with her soprano reach, might at least annoy the gold crystal, she hoped.
