Just finished Mass Effect 2 and what an ending! I bought all of the upgrades for the ship, but completely forgot to do Legion's quest before I went through the Omega 4 Relay, so not all of my crew survived. I lost Tali - which was rather upsetting - and Grunt. Oh well, it made the story more epic.

I think once i've caught up on my gaming i'm going to have a second play through of Mass Effect, this time i'll go Renegade but hopefully keep everyone alive. I'm about 1/3 of the way through 3 and have to say that I much preferred 2 for several reasons:
1) There were more Squad members in 2. 2) Interactions with NPCs aren't as good in 3 because A) you don't interact with most of them properly, and B) you gain side missions just by walking past them and I don't realize it's happened half the time. 3) Missions were split into main story and side quests in 2, but in 3 there is only one list and some of the instructions are vague. 4) Finding items/credits etc was easier in 2 (and 1) since they would be clearly shown even if you were on the other side of the room, but in 3 you have to be almost on top of the item to notice it's there. 5) I don't really like the dark vibe of the ship in 3. I much preferred the light and airy feel of Normandy2. 6) The duck-and-cover system has me rolling all over the place in 3!
I'm sure I have more complaints - like those few quests that are buggy and you can't actually complete - but i'll stop my rant there. Haha.
Torchlight 2 is awesome, figured I would update this thread being I have nothing else to do until people post. Also, Diablo 3 was a let down, let's just say I am glad i did not purchase it and instead played on a friends account. Uhhh, Borderlands 2 is still well enough playable after a few run throughs the DLC make for entertaining gameplay. And yeah Halo 4 is the bomb. Nuf said. lol

I'm so behind with the Halo games. Last one I played was ODST. Is 4 as short as the rest?
On the very last part of Mass Effect 3 and am bracing myself for a disappointing ending. I'm still kicking myself for choosing to save the Geth over the Quarians (I got a little trigger-happy with the buttons) and am so glad Tali wasn't alive to see me do it. LOL! I don't think I could bare to see her kill herself (although i've watched it on youtube. A version I call an alternate reality, so i'm guilt free with that one.)
Reckoning was awesome and Halo 4 took me and a friend of mine 10 or so hours on legendary, however if you are an achievement wh--- like I am then you will do it alone on legendary which took me oh i dunno maybe 12-14 hours over the span of a week to beat it.
(Just sobs as he has no games, nor systems do so anymore...)

I thought that gaming had stuck it in and broken it off at the handle with the betrayal of Aliens: Colonial Marines, but I've actually played three games recently that are some of the best I've ever played.
If you've got a PS3 get your hands on Journey. It's a game that brought me to tears through the beauty of its atmosphere and art design alone.
Also play Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Silly name. Awesome game. Cut all of the things. ALL OF THEM!
Finally, Bioshock Infinite. I could write screeds on how damn good this game is. It's a masterclass in world building, has some amazing writing, beautiful art design, exciting combat and layers upon layers of meaning and complexity. "Breathtaking" is an overused phrase, as is "Awesome" but I can honestly say that within the first hour of playing that both of those words can be easily applied. I literally was awestruck to the point where my breath was held and my jaw was slack at the juxtaposing beauty and brutality in visuals, action and narrative. When a piece of art can have you violently ending scores of lives one moment and taking a breather to play a little guitar or comfort a scared girl and not have it be tonally jarring is something special. Ebert can suck my left nut because this game is Art. And this game is a Game. It could not be as good as it is in any other format, any other medium.

Love, like Hope, has too few letters for a word so powerful.
I recently finished Mass Effect 3 and left feeling much the same way Tauer did. It just wasnt as good as 2. Not as much versatility in the roster. Missions seemed short and choppy and requiring alot of load times for very little play.
On the other hand I have been playing Tomb Raider (Never played this franchise before) and I have to say it is amazing in its art and writing and even down to the score. Everything is so well done that its easy to get sucked in and "feel" what Lara is going through. Very well done.
In a world without proper internet, gaming consoles or a decent PC, you will fine me playing Act Cadenza Strife, Ragnarok Battle Offline and Crazy Power Disk Perfect.
