::The man's lip trembled a bit at the news as he stopped dancing about. His eyes locked with Hex and he stepped close to him as he screamed in rage...::
"YOU. KILLED. OUR CHILDREN!!!!"
::He spun away again, slapping at his own head in dispair before flinging himself at the skull at the head of the table...::
"They killed our children, my sweet. And on your birthday of all days!"
::He broke down in sobs.::
"You told me not to let them play in the yard. I should have listened to you!!
What's that, my love? Why yes. I think you're right!
They should take their place!"
::As he speaks those last words, his head turns once again to face the group, and with it the heads of the bodies gathered at the table turn too. The corpses rise as one and turn to come for the three of you as the man scoops the head up in his arms and dances away.::
Ivy shot Hex a furious glare as she aimed her ready arrow and let it fly towards one of the heads. Taking the rest out of her mouth, she turned to Sera. "You stay behind us. Hex is going to stay up with me, arent you Hex?" She looked over at him with an icy glare as she nocked another arrow and aimed for the next dead head before letting the arrow fly. She was furious with Hex, but directed her anger for the moment towards the dead people heading towards them. Humm. She nocked another arrow after putting them back in her mouth and aimed for the head of the old man then let the arrow go, hoping it would hit him and take care of the problem.

Hex turned pale and froze for a few moments... His children? Zombies? What was this?! This man is twisted... and he's talking to a skull!!! Why is he so obsessed with these dead things that are creepy and disgusting?!
"We should... Take their place...?"
Then, the zombies faced three of them, and Hex didn't know what to do. He acted as if he was dancing and parading for joy... He's obviously twisted, and these corpses weren't going to kill themselves...
Hex breathed in and held his hand out at them, and blasted a big wave of air that would push some of them away from Hex and the girls. He looked around for other elements he could use... But nothing else seemed to strike him as noteworthy in the two seconds he spent scanning. He then got out of the way so Ivy could fire her shots into the room, still near her, because he was sure she would be aiming and sharpshooting those deadmen till the break of dawn.
Serafyna stayed back, but she was looking... off.. all the blood and death everywhere... she leaned back against the wall, ears laying back as she tried to keep herself focused.
::The blast of air hit the room and caused everything to shift and scatter. The cake turned to mush as it splattered against on of the makeshift "chairs" to reveal the flesh and blood within it.
The blast also pushed back the corpses enough to allow Ivy to get off her two shots, dropping two of them.
The rest collected themselves and closed the distance with the party. They reached and clawed at Hex and Ivy as they were in front, trying to grab them in order to bite.
The man continued to dance around humming his song while craddleing the skull in his arms until he noticed two more zombies fall.::
"No! NO! You can't do THAT!"
::He spun to face them as the blood from the messy cake rose up and shot out sharp spikes at the Trio...::
Silent as a shadow on padded feet...
Hex [M:40:1020:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=483&page=1#17914]"As the iron leaves fall, our attack will spring..."
The zombies had only been pushed back for a few moments before they rose up and tried to munch on their bodies.
"Ugh... Gross! Get off me!"
Hex struggled as he tried to get the claws off of him and Ivy, trying his absolute best to not get any zombie-saliva on him. He felt like he was about to throw up, however, as the zombies seem to have a negative effect on him. He never liked decaying flesh. He was tempted to use his magic again but couldn't get enough time to work up something useful.
Then, the deranged man screamed as his cake, made of disgusting human parts, splattered. In his rage, he shot out sharp things towards Ivy, Hex, and Serafyna.
"Ivy! Sera!"
Hex quickly pushed the zombies away and faced the darts. He held up his arms and took most of them, his blood dripping down from his arms.
As a result of his pain, he screamed and let out another big gust of air in front of him and dropped to the ground on his knees.
Great. Just what she needed, not being able to use her bow. Well, al least she still had her arrows. And Hex, who took the spikes, which she thought was good, seeing as if he hadnt said anything about killing the other dead people, they wouldnt be fighting like this right now. She took one of her arrows out of her mouth while trying to keep the zombies away from her and shoved it in the head of one, then did the same with the last two arrows in her mouth.
Serafyna [M:30:350:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?board=cs&action=display&thread=854]Im so sorry!
Serafyna squeezed her eyes shut, a feral whine escaping. She couldn't hold on much longer with the waves of blood-scent assaulting her. She wrapped her arms around herself with a shudder, crumpling in on herself, shaking. Then Hex screamed and she froze, stock still. Her nostrils flared slowly, breathing in the heavenly scent. Carefully she straightened, bangs over her eyes. A sensual sigh escaped her lips with the breath she had deeply inhaled. "What a delightful stench..." Her lips spread in an eerie grin as her fingers slipped beneath the bangs, carefully slipping her glasses off and placing them aside where they wouldn't break.
Bright orbs of gold peeked out, and her posture changed to reflect the feral ferocity in her eyes. "Can I play? I'd love.. to paint the walls with that delicious color!" She slipped the knife from its sleeve, drawing it in a smooth and unflinching style across her palm. The blood flowed around her hand, and when she flicked out it solidified around her hand as shapeless claws. She grinned viciously and suddenly rushed at the nearest walking dead and attempted to slam its face into a wall repeatedly while the blood claws tried to claw its stomach open. All the while the horrifying grin never leaving her face as she hummed a tune quite similar to the mad mans.
::The sharp blades of blood bite into Hex's clothes and flesh like barbed hooks and the thin lines that connected them still to the cake began to pull him forward...
Ivy managed to jam an arrow up under the jaw of one of the zombies as it dropped dead before her...
Sera pounced on another that had moved in towards Hex, drawn by his blood. Its skull turned to mush in her hand as the claw bit deep into its abdomen and it stirred no more...
The man stopped and stared at Sera with gleaming eyes full of desire and the tendrils reeling in Hex went slack as he said something to the skull that was washed out by the blast of air that came from the Elemental Mage...
The blast again knocked everyone back a few paces as it buffeted against them. But the zombies surged back once it past, most drawn to Sera and Hex due to the blood. They pressed forward, almost fighting each other to be the first to reach their victims...
There was no way around, the only options were to stay and fight or turn and run as the bodies continued to press against them, the man cackling again in the background...::
Ivy saw the look on the mans face as he looked at Sera, and even though she had changed into Garm once again, Ivy was furious but realised it was best for her to keep fighting the dead. "Sera! Er..Garm! Go for the man!" She shouted, pulling her own knife from the front of her dress and hurrying over to Hex, where she started trying to cut the lines pulling him, as well as keep any zombies away from them.
Serafyna [M:30:350:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?board=cs&action=display&thread=854]Im so sorry!
Serafyna dropped the useless thing, licking her lips at the sight of the blood on her fingers, but there was no time to snack, no no. And besides, the blood was likely thin and tasteless. Her eyes flicked to the next zombie and she crouched with a snarl, then leapt at it, slashing in midair across the face, and quickly rolling off it to its head with her blood clawed hand and unclawed and try to rip the head right of. There was no beauty or style to her when she fought this way, just relentless massacre and assault. But her eyes weren't on her victims. Her gaze was focused on the source. The man and his obsession with that macabre companion, and her lips stayed curled in a wicked grin as she thought of crushing the skull between her fingers and forcing it down the mans throat. She didn't need that impudent child to tell her a target. Garm had already chosen.

Hex [M:40:1020:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=483&page=1#17914]"As the iron leaves fall, our attack will spring..."
Hex was slowly being dragged towards his doom... His unfortunate doom... By a cake... Really? He was going down from a cake... He struggled with the lines as they ripped and tugged at his flesh, his body not being able to do much but get dragged by it while zombies continuously rushed at him and tried to get a piece of Hex.
Luckily, Ivy came to his rescue and tried to cut the wires off of him while the also trying to keep the zombies away. Hex, breathing heavily, sundered up enough strength to create a small whirlwind around the two of them, to slow down the zombies trying to attack while also trying to rip some of their decaying flesh. It was one of the higher level air spells, and he was going to try to keep it up as much as he can, but he wouldn't be able to do it forever. It was draining his magic reserves, and he started to get dizzy.
::Ivy was able to get to Hex's side and while her slashes at the zombies proved all but useless, her attempts to cut the blood ribbons were much more effective. The whirlwind giving her the time and protection needed to do so. Hex was freed from his untimely demise by cake...
Sera leapt on another zombie and grasped its head. Were it not for the power of her blood increasing her strength, this would have been futile. However with Garm in control she could feel and even hear the tendons in its neck snapping as it began to pull free with a final POP!...
The man started moving closer to the group, his eyes darting back and forth between Sera and the skull...::
"Oh yes, my sweet. We MUST have her. What a glorious pet she will make for our family!!"
::Blood from the corpses on the ground began to rise and lash about at Sera as they wrapped about her limbs to try and restrain her.::
Silent as a shadow on padded feet...
Serafyna [M:30:350:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?board=cs&action=display&thread=854]Im so sorry!
Serafyna snarled ferally, letting go of the head and started slashing and nawing at the ties viciously. Restrained! Pet! How dare he! She shook her head and paused in her efforts to hiss, ears lying back against her hair, in his direction and bit down again at the ties.

Hex looked towards the now enraged Sera and gasped in amazement. He didn't realize how furious she was.
"When did she get all bad-flarb up in here?"
He stopped the whirlwind and had a decent amount of magic left. He swiped his hands across the air and tried to slash and move zombies out of the way so Ivy and Hex could reach Serafyna, who was now restrained with blood tendril things.
"I got you Sera!"
Hex sliced his hands down and tried to cut the the bloodied tendrils with air magic. He didn't know how effective that could be, but that low level magic could be used for a while before he is unable to use any more magic.
