Ivy blinked at the man's words, eyes noting his hand's distance from his sword quickly before focusing on his face. "Oh." she said, lips twitching slightly in disappointment at the lack of a fight she was going to get. "Well, this is my home. Who are you?" she asked, lowering her weapon so it was hanging at her side.
He seemed harmless enough, but this was her home and she had never seen him before. There was no way she was going to put her bow down and be without it.
From a distance, branches are heard breaking as someone neared the two strangers at the cottage. Who ever it was did not seem to be stealthy about his presence. The noise kept getting louder as he got closer.
The warven usually took different routes when he left the village, to make sure he would not leave tracks behind for others to follow. Unaware of the cottage and the large soren meeting the young woman, Redblade had more important things to worry about. If he would have paid more attention, he would have probably have avoided the confrontation.
Finally visible to the two, he stops a few yards away from them realizing he bumped into them. He wore his mask and was at a loss of words.
Uhhhh... Hello?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
The brunette archer didn't bother to wait for the giant man to reply before scowling slightly at the newcomer. "Hi." She peered at him, trying to see his face. "Who are you? Are you with him?" she nodded to the giant in front of her, brushing her hair out of her face quickly with her arm before scanning the area. "Are there more of you?" she asked, barely missing a breath.
Just as he was about to reply to the little girl, he picked up on the presence that was quickly nearing. He now had a girl with a bow in front of him and a foreign voice of unknown alignment coming from behind him. The girl before him, having lowered her bow, didn’t seem to fit the profile of an enemy at the moment.
He piivoted himself around, at the same time moving himself to the side a bit. His shoulder remained in the doorway, but spaced of room for the girl to see. Upon sighting the figure, he recognized him. Anger began swelling up inside of him at a rapid pace. With little hesitation, his hand moved back to grip the hilt of his sword and spoke to the miss, “He's not with me. He's a part of the Red Brother's. A band of criminals.” His voice was filled with detest. He redirected his words to the criminal before him, “What are you doing here!”
His eyes were set on Red and he was ready to draw his blade with lightning speed should he try anything. He was not going to let him flee, but he would remain civil for the time being.
Death is no more than turning us over from time to eternity. Whether that eternity is damnation or salvation is determined in the time we have.
Redblade wanted to take a step back, but was hesitant to do so with the angry siren looking right at him and recognizing him as one of the Red Brothers. He slowly raised his arms to his sides to not seem like a threat, but was ready to reach for his shield that his under his cloak.
Looking over to the young lady, he responded to her first.
I am Sen, but most call me Redblade. I am not with this gentleman, nor are there anybody else with me. I just got lost in the woods and didn't mean to startle anyone.
Turning his attention over to the Soren, it is then that he began to think he had seen him before some where. It was a long time ago, but he could not remember his name.
Don't I know you?.... Giant spiders, werewolf man... Mir...? Mirror? What is your name?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ivy had no idea who the Red Brothers were, but she did know that the giant man didn't like the new stranger. Shooting the giant a scowl at being stuck behind him, Ivy tucked her weapon at her side and ducked around his side, twisting her body so she made no contact with him. Standing upside next to him, she shot her scowl at the newest stranger. "What's the Red Brothers? And why are you grabbing your sword?" She wanted to know who she was supposed to trust, if either, if trust was really the right word. At least she would like to know who to shoot...again...if either of them had to be shot.
She watched the masked man study the giant, and frowned slightly. They knew each other..but it was clear the giant didn't like this Redblade guy. He didn't seem like a danger, though, so she still kept her bow at her side, ready to bring it up and aim if needed.
It appears the woman had not been into town recently. Either that, or she was dim with a very short term memory. It would be difficult to go anywhere near Wistvale without seeing the abundant quantity postings around depicting the Red Brother's.
His own experiences with the masked man were limited to say the least. At the time of their meeting, he was not even aware of the despicable nature of the criminal before him. It wasn’t until much later that he realized his connection to Piper, and the hate has lasted. Piper may have been the one who robbed him dry, but to Miroslaw, he was on the same level. He had been waiting to attain vengeance for some time and this was quite the opportunity for just that.
Miroslaw's eyes were set on the cloaked man with a hard glare. As the little girl moved to get a better perspective, the giant moved even more to permit ample space for the little girl. He began speaking, in a whisper for Ivy to hear, “They are a pair of criminals believed to be the operators of an underground crime syndicate in Wistvale. Bad folks.”
His voice raised for his next words, meant to be heard by Redblade Unlike the softeness when speaking to Ivy, they were once again were filled with hatred, “How about this. You tell me the whereabouts of the "Piper" figure, and maybe I will let you live, Criminal.” he drew his sword as the words were seethed from his lips.
Death is no more than turning us over from time to eternity. Whether that eternity is damnation or salvation is determined in the time we have.
Seeing how the Soren kept giving him an ugly glare, he began to wonder why so much hatred towards him. He looked at him and then at the girl next to him. Trying to place the pieces together, there was only one reason why he could think of that Miro would be upset with him. And it raised an eyebrow behind his mask.
Realizing it was not the appropriate time to be wearing the mask, he slowly raises his hands to remove it.
I'm only going to take my mask off.
Having done so, it is then that the two could tell he was warven and had an odd expression on his face.
Wait a second. Did... Did I interrupt something here? I mean... No offense and from one man to another, isn't she a little too young and short for you to be courting? There must be some women your height in town, I think or at least I hope there are.
I'm nobody to be judging, but think how others would give you two weird looks. I know that there should be no prejudice when it comes to love but... You guys wouldn't make a perfect 10.... More like a 1 and a quarter.
You know what? It doesn't even matter. Its none of my business. I'll just let you guys go back to....whatever it was you two were doing. My apologies.
He begins to slowly step back.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Ivy blinked at the wolf in front of her. How strange..she wondered if he had any resemblance to wolves that run in the wild, and was just about to ask when Red called her young. She stiffened and shot the wolf-man a glare. Had he not called her young...which in Ivy's mind was like calling her a child, she would have laughed at the thought of someone courting her.
Quick as she could, Ivy sung her arms up, aimed at a tree right next to Red's head pulled her arrow back and let it fly. "I am not a child." she informed him in a rather icy voice.
Now, the Soren's words were ignored by the freshly unmasked man, and that only fueled his wrath. He would not bother letting him finish on his farcical speech. It was far too many words for the Soren's liking. Also, it crossed Miroslaw as being a ploy to buy time, likely for his band of criminals to arrive.
He would hold his urges back no longer. Without another thought or word, his feet set in motion a charge towards the Warven. He started moving even before the arrow left the bow of the young miss.
It seemed words were a waste on the criminal. He only hoped he could hold a better fight than a conversation. If not, things would be over quite quickly. His goal was to take the Warven alive but subdued. He wanted to question him more than anything else. He knew Piper was the real leader and Redblade was likely just a grunt more than anything else. However, if it came down to it, he would not risk allowing him to get away.

Redblade did not hesitate to defend himself from his attackers. He ducked to avoid the arrow shot near him and then opened his hand towards them, giving out a very bright light that was intended to blind them and cool things down before someone would get hurt. It would seem that they were not in the mood to have small talk, especially the large fellow.
If both Miro and Ivy did get blinded by the light, he would then rush to the cover of the woods and hide behind a tree.
- Flash - Effect: The mage's hand or weapon emits a sudden, piercing light which may stun and even blind those within range. Range: The caster. AOE: All creatures with conventional eyesight within 30 feet. Cast Time: Immediate. Power: All creatures not covering their eyes can be affected by this spell. Effects include being stunned for their next turn, or suffering a 5 point penalty to their awareness, due to their being blind or impaired The warven could have easily have had slipped away at the opportunity he had, but he wanted to know why the Soren disliked him so much to attack so soon. There must be a good reason behind it, and he had to force him to talk things out instead of spilling blood over it.
In such a rush to kill me, Soren? What have I done, for you to want me dead?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Everything after her arrow happened so fast, Ivy wasn't sure what was going on. It didn't help that the nameless giant had some reason to despise this wolf-man so much he'd gone to attack when he didn't even do anything...aside from call her a child but she didn't think the giant would be too upset about that.
And then she couldn't see, and it didn't make her very happy. "HEY! I didn't even aim to hit you!!" She had no idea where the giant was, but figured that finding out where he was would be a great idea as he was swinging a sword around. "Giant man, don't swing your sword!" she said hastily, putting her arms over her eyes and trying to walk in a different direction as the giant. She focused on Red's voice when she heard him start speaking, as she really wanted to find out what was going on.
As the Soren charged at the Warven, magical light came forth and seared straight into his eye sockets. In that very instant, it was painful and blinding. He stopped in his tracks, his eyes squinting hard as if trying and force out the light. Of course the criminal would be a magic user. There was little he detested more than magic! His course of action would need adjustment in order to deal with such abilities.
He heard the little voice commanding him to not swing his sword as if he were a rookie in the art of battle, and it only fed his anger. Though, not nearly as much as the voice that followed. As the sight returned to Miroslaw, he searched his surrounding for the voice, but his demeanor changed. His sword was sat upon his shoulder, griped by only one hand. Much less aggressive than the charging stance he was in. Furthering this, his response to the words were much less hateful, “You stole all my savings... Well...” He paused for a moment, “Piper did, but you are with him making you every bit as accountable.”
He saw the fault in the argument, but regardless, he wanted answers on where to find the one truly responsible and to all his knowledge, the Warven held those answers.
Death is no more than turning us over from time to eternity. Whether that eternity is damnation or salvation is determined in the time we have.
He thought for a few seconds before responding. If the whole town knew that he had only joined Piper to turn him in one day, it woud surely get to his ears and ruin his plans sooner or later, that's if the bandit didn't already know it. Even if he did let him in on his plan, would he be a good enough ally to help him bring Piper down?
He rested his back on the nearest tree and then looked up at the sky. Then there was the young lady, who would now be involved in all this. He had to think of her safety too.
Soren, I mean you no harm. If you hold me accountable for what Piper has done to you, than so be it. But know this, I did not join him for the reasons that you think I have, nor could I tell you why... You are no match for him. Trust me. It would be wise for you not to seek for revenge. His time will one day come, just as mine shall.
I'm not saying to forget about what he's done to you, but patience is a virtue, and you will have your opportunity with him when your time comes. I can only say this.... If you one day want to defeat him, you must be a strong mage as he is.
With that, he knew it was best to leave while he still had the chance and used the shadows to do so.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
As Redblade spoke, the Soren listened. At first, he payed particular attention to where the words were coming from, but as he spoke, Miroslaw could hear the the sincerity in the words.
His mind went back to his only meeting with Piper. He almost had him. If he had not thrown his blade out of anger and instead kept his cool, Piper may have been dead already. He was a strong mage, those words were not false. However, Miroslaw has had plenty of experience fighting mages. Perhaps Redblade was underestimating his skill, or he knew something Miroslaw did not of Piper's skill.
As the Warven continued to speak, he spoke plenty enough to be able to pinpoint his location. "Redblade. If you mean me no harm, come out from there and lets have a talk." If Redblade should look, the Soren would actually be sheathing his blade. Miroslaw would be giving off no aggressive vibes. He was just standing there, starring in the direction he knew the Warven to be.
