I recently watched all of Wil Wheaton's Tabletop series on Youtube (fun show!) so I've added a lot of games to the To Buy list, but the game we tend to play with our friends the most is Cards Against Humanity. It's an ok game, fairly crude and once you've gone through the whole deck of cards the hilarity can wear off.
We recently bought The Big Bang Theory's version of Clue (or Cluedo for us non-Americans). I've never played the original but the rules were easy to pick up and, with four players, each game session lasted a decent amount of time, probably 20-30 mins.
I played Cards Against Humanity with a friend and some friends of theirs. I agree that it was fun, but don't know about the longevity...
My oldest daughter got that same version of Clue for x-mas. Played it once and it was fun.
And i agree with Tabletop. Its a fun show and has led to us buying ALOT of games. Its nice being able to see something played out and explained first before dropping the money some of them are asking for.
I already had Catan and Munchkin, but I've got Pandemic, Forbidden Island, Star Wars: X-Wing, Gloom, and Ticket to Ride because of that show...
My first thought was, he lied in every word, That hoary cripple, with malicious eye Askance to watch the workings of his lie On mine, and mouth scarce able to afford Suppression of the glee, that pursed and scored Its edge, at one more victim gained thereby.
Ticket to Ride is fun. My kids like to play it, and its easy enough to understand that my 7yr old can play without help. It's also a good "gateway" game for friends that hear board games and only think of things like Candyland and Monopoly, lol.

So, has anyone else heard about the Magic the Gathering Strategy board game coming out next year? I watched a video and it looks VERY similar to Heroscape, only it looks like they've saved some money by using a cardboard base instead of so much plastic, and the squad figures appear to have been painted in the one color of their element. I've not played the card game but I'll probably get this when it comes out just to see what it's like. No doubt their will be numerous expansions.
I've also just ordered Munchkin Deluxe and Dragon's Hoard.
