Kiga nodded as though he had any idea of what she was talking about or even knew anything about books... but his interest in what SHE was interested in was sincere, if only to you know, show her he was interested. Or something.
He thought for a moment, staring at the water; and then replied rather enthusiastically.
"Oh hey! I can help you!"

Ely jerked, her ears sunk down to her skull and flickered back up. She was really going to have to get that under control. She had to stop being so nervy. But, as soon as it seemed like she could relax something happened, like Kiga's louder voice.
Who cares? He's excited. He wants to help. He could be in the house. With stacks of books. Terribly dusty books. She would have to make sure to help him get cleaned back up. There would be more trips here... in the evening... with no one around... Ely shivered inwardly at the thought.
"You can?"
Oh gods. Do I sound that hopeful?

Kiga smiled wide, eyes closed and rather all too eager to appear keen - but he was. He would help her with most anything of course, so long as he didn't... well... fall apart.... but surely he could help her sort books!
"Ayup! Of course I can! When do we get started?"
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Right now. We can get started right now Kiga. Get out of the spring and follow me. Naked.
The words played havoc with her pulse before racing around in her brain. Had they been in one of the Cathain cities she would have said them without hesitation. But, several years of living among a plethora of races and cultures put a lock on Ely's normally candid mouth.
"Tomorrow. Big run down house over on the west side of town just before you reach the docks. You can't miss it. The gateway is missing a fence and well, a gate."

Kiga nodded enthusiastically and started to scoop water from the spring, washing over his neck and shoulders.
"Ok. I guess.... it's a date then, huh?"
He was smiling like a cheshire cat, or rather a bird given his present company. But the nerves had given way to some form of boyish elatement and he was able to respond without getting flustered. Til she moved any closer anyways.

Ely watched the water pouring down Kiga's neck and chest. She swallowed harshly. He cannot possibly know how good that looks, can he? From the smile on his face she thought so. And if that was the case...
She caged the whine that was clawing for freedom. Ely snapped her mouth shut until she realized he had asked her a question.
"Oh... um... sure. It is a date!"
Her voice climbed an octave on the last word.
A date.
With Kiga.
In her house.
After seven years of wondering where he was and what he was doing she would be showing him around her home. What would he think of her home? Her eyes slipped closed for a brief second and she remembered a younger Kiga who had pointed out the many different birds in a quiet meadow.
Ely smiled.
He would like the trees.

Kiga's smile beamed wide then, him elated she'd agree with him. A date! How... totally awesome! He laughed a little an nodded in approval, completely thrilled with the idea... and then realized they were still nekkid in the water.
Kiga looked at his hands.
"Huh. I'm getting kind of pruney."
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
She did not care what they looked like, not one little bit. But, he was getting twitchy. She could feel the air change around them. She she had to say something right?
Oh, wait, hang on. Ely pulled her hands out of the water and stared at them.
"...uh... well... I guess maybe we should get out of the water?"

Kiga moved a little closer, his hands still in front of him, mirroring her as he approached.
But once he got closer enough, those white, prunish, squidy, water logged hands took hers and he leaned in and stole a kiss. Just a quick kiss with his lips to hers, a silent kiss that was gone almost as quickly as it snuck in.
He then smiled at her and winked before covering his eyes.
"Ok. You first then, I'm not peeking."
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely had thought she was through with surprises tonight. She honestly did. I mean, what else could happen? Well. In that she was absolutely wrong. Kiga's kiss caused a quick lurch in the pit of her body. She told herself it was only surprise. That was it. Surprise.
But. It took several seconds for her to recover those scattered wits.
But, she did take the chance offered. She got up out of the water when Kiga covered his eyes. She was slow to get her clothes back on, though. Mostly because... well... it was dark and she couldn't remember where she had left them.
Truth.
Her ears were still warm and damp when she spun around after finding and putting back on her clothes.
"Okay. You can get out now Kiga. I won't watch. Promise."

Kiga slips his hands from his eyes and peers over, then smiles wide.
"You... umm. I like your clothes!"
He had that same sheepish smile on his face as he made his way to the water's edge, then stopped. He gave her a cheeky look, one hand ready to pull himself out.
"You turn around now..."
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely promptly turned around as she had been told. Though, a traitorous thought in her head keep screaming at her to ignore it. Be fair Ely, he did not watch you.
So. She remained with her back turned to him. Then a quick flash went streaking through her mind. He'd told her to turn around. He never said she couldn't look.
Ely twisted to glance over her shoulder.

Kiga was by the tree were his clothing hung, one leg cocked up and halfway into his pants, his butt pale as can be in the moonlight. He'd dried off at least but hadn't gotten any further than trying to get some clothing on below the waist, when he too looked over his shoulder.
And saw her looking at him.
He went bright red at that moment and flapped a hand wildly at her.
"HEY NOW NO FAIR!"
The poor half elven lad's knees buckled and he wriggled uncontrollably to slip both legs into his pants, him the bouncing away like a drunken cricket to try and cover up and tie his waist quickly....
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely burst into laughter. She couldn't help it. Kiga stumbling around trying to get into his pants reminded her way too much of a drunken ramble in the streets of Wistvale.
She had not been able to stop laughing then, either.
"...Wait! Kiga... there is a tree... "
Ely winced and shut one eye.

He laid on the ground now, pants only barely up, his shirt over one shoulder and throttling his neck and him looking completely dazed, courtesy of the large lump now swelling on his head. Limbs at all odd angles, one foot in the air, he placed a hand to his now damaged head.
