Ely had no idea who he was talking about. Though, to be fair, they had not spent much time talking about other people years ago. She stopped thinking at that point and opened her eyes again to look at him.
"I just realized. You are not wearing your eyepatch."
Ely pulled her hand out of the water and lifted it to his face. She halted about halfway there, though.

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Kiga gasped a little when she reached for him, startled suddenly. He blushed then, feeling the right fool for being so easily shocked and he warbled, a nervous bird call which was purely reactionary and did nothing to hide his embarrassment.
"Oh. Yeah, I finished training my eye is all. I can hit a flea off a deers back at a hundred paces! Ok, maybe not THAT good, but pretty damn good all the same."
He smiled nervously then, not entirely impressed with himself. Not around her anyways.
He nodded of course and turned to face her. The eye she knew was an utter black, devoid of light, the iris a stark white. There were tiny, almost imperceivable scars around it. That knife was wielded masterfully and clearly, some time ago.
The eye that had been covered was entirely normal, a brilliant emerald in colour, almost a perfect match for the feather that grew from his hair.
"Well yeah. You might have noticed this eye isn't entirely normal. It takes years to train it though, but it's why I'm so keen with my knives. It's kind of weird, having two eyes again."

She was familiar with the eye, of course. There was not much about Kiga that Ely was going to ever forget. This newly visible eye, though, was... beautiful. She did not ask him about the training. She was well acquainted with the dedication it took to master something anyone else might consider peculiar.
"What do you mean, weird?"
That comment did intrigue her mind.

He shrugged and blinked his eyes, as if to illustrate how unusual it felt to him.
"Well after all that time, just seeing with the one eye. I mean, it's hardly normal and the world looked... different. But the same.
And now I can see everything, like a normal person. That is kinda weird to me, but exciting at the same time. I mean, I've seen everything before, but I want to see it all again now. Maybe that's just part of growing up too.
Ely's cheeks reddened and whether it was from Kiga's words, voice, or expression she could not say. Maybe it was the Hot Springs. Maybe it was the memories. Maybe she needed to shut the hell up. Problem was she had said none of this out loud, thank all the gods, and how do you shut up your brain?
Physical activity. Do something. Anything.
Ely started to get to her feet and froze halfway out of the water.

Kiga's pair of now fully operational eyes grew very wide, very quickly. He stared, unintentionally; and a very elegant in noise but not in substance wolf whistle broke from his lips. Rather ironic.
It took a moment to hammer home and he suddenly clasped his hands over his eyes, very embarrassed and bumbling over his words. Or what didn't quite amount to words.
"Oh geez, I, um, I mean, geez I didn't, mean, like look, ah.... sorry....."

Ely jerked at the whistle. But, at least she had remembered to move. She sat back down with a little splash and looked everywhere else but at Kiga's face.
"Oh... um... it's okay... I just f-forgot. You know about... "
Ely made a gesture to the folded pile of clothes she had left beside the Springs before getting in. She was even more flushed than before, so much so, that the tips of her ears were hot.
Kiga was completely lost for what he should do and he couldn't look at her at all, staring down at the water, cupping his hands to shield even any chance of looking at her from happening. He shook his head quickly, trying to say something that even made sense.
"No... it's ok I mean... you know you... I didn't.... oh geez. I will cover my eyes while you get out then."
And so he did just that, covered them tightly, turned his back and dared not to look no matter how much he wanted to simply stare at her.

Ely would have gotten out of the water when she had the chance. She would have with anybody else. But, where Kiga was concerned she was not... sane. When he covered up his eyes she put a hand on his back.
"You don't have to cover up your eyes, Kiga. Didn't you just say you wanted to see everything again?"
Her voice had softened, too. The earlier glow bugs had all but faded away and the place had been given up into twilight.

Kiga looked up with a 'huh' and let his hands fall from his eyes, turning to look her. His eyes wandered whether he wanted them to or not and he swallowed, slow and hard. He was shivering, perhaps it was the cold air on his skin, perhaps it was the excitement, but his heart was pumping all too fast for him to keep pace. The words were near gibberish now.
"I guess... I did... I... wow you are just... uh..."
And it happened. The poor lad suddenly swooned, chirped one last spat of sound and fell, backwards; into the pool.
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely was shocked yet again, then amused, and then worried when no other words came from him.
"Kiga?"
She scrambled over the darker water to see what had happened. Though, that was obvious. Still. She had to see if he was okay, right? It was not an excuse to get closer. No. Absolutely not.
"Kiga?"
Ely reached out both hands to drag his shoulders and head out of the water.

Kiga sat up with a sputter, coughing and trying to shake the water and hair from his face. His eyes blinked multiple times before they looked to hers once more, then down to her hands upon his shoulders.
He turned a beet red then, looking down to the water, his voice almost a whisper.
"Oh..... hi."

Bluff your way out of this predicament Ely. Do not think about how cute or bedraggled he looks soaking wet. Do not think about taking him home and drying him off and warming him up either stupid girl!
She wasn't just talking to herself. She was yelling at her own brain. Though, that last bit probably came from somewhere lower in her body than her head.
"You okay?"
