Ely fell for it all; hook, line and sinker. It is possible she had her own agenda for doing so. Still, when he pointed to his forehead she leaned over just enough to place a gentle kiss in the same spot. Her eyes were twinkling, too, when she spoke.
"Where are the other bruises?"

He chuckles again, but once more forced that pout on his lips. His finger touched to the tip of his nose now. He feigned a tiny hiss of pain and a sigh, looking truly forlorn.
Ely leaned over again. This time she held her hair out of the way as it was being inordinately annoying at the moment. She placed the smallest of kisses at the tip of Kiga's nose, and then the soft feel of her lips was whisked away.
"And the others?"
Her voice was quieter.

Kiga was lost in Ely's eyes, in a very real sense. Everything else around them had ceased to exist for him presently and it was not at all alarming. No, it felt as thought it should always be that way.
He moved his hand, thinking to choose another spot... but it instead rested on the back of her neck.
"And right... here."
He couldn't stand to be deprived of her lips any longer and therefore, did what any sneaky thief in love would do. Should do. He stole a kiss from her and if you ask Kigazaki to this day, there is nothing else he would rather steal.
Nothing else is nearly as valuable, so far as he's concerned.

Ely gave a squeak of sound. She was waiting for the kiss with more than a little anticipation, but when it came she was surprised all the same. Ely easily succumbed to the enjoyment of Kiga's kisses.
If you asked her? Kiga never had to steal any kisses at all. From the moment she met him in the Tavern seven years ago he had stolen something quite a bit more important.
Her heart.

It was some time later when Kiga lifted his head, his face still warm from where it had been tucked in at her neck. Snowy weather was cuddling weather and certainly, anyone with any sense would tell you as much. Still, Ely was headed out prior to dragging Kiga in and he was still quite interested in a day spent with his girlfriend. He knew Ely liked to be active and busy, so he posed the question.
"So, shall we go collect these plant your were after? I think we should see where we can eat, too."
Kiga couldn't help but think of food. He had to fuel all that energy somehow.

"Oh... um... of course we can... we can get something to eat. I... I have a present for you first though."
Ely 's cheeks reddened. Well, they were always a little red, right now they were more so and her hair was tangled up in what romance novels might say was fetching disarray. She tried combing it with her hands and fingers but that was a useless attempt. She seemed nervous, too. A very un-Ely-like nervousness.
"K-Kiga do you remember the night we met?"
She did not doubt that he remembered. But, she was curious if he realized the date.

Kiga swallowed hard then and he twitched, suddenly seeming a little nervous. It was certainly evident in the weak laugh that left his lungs, before he spoke. When he spoke, he stammered a little, too. It had been a long time since Kiga had had a case of the jitters around Ely.
He wasn't exactly in top form on the night they met.
"I, ah... yeah I do. Sure."
He laughed again, a very uncertain, unsure laugh. He scratched his head and took a deep breath, then looked about the room as if something had to suddenly snatch his attention away.

Ely let him off the hook. That night was, well, embedded in her mind. She didn't expect it to be the same for him. Plus, he'd been very, very, very drunk.
Dragon's Breath. Don't ever drink it. It will send you into a wild spiral of craziness. Possibly ending on the top of a roof with a man talking to pigeons.
"Seven years ago on this very day."
Ely hesitated for a moment. She never wanted to fetter Kiga. He was meant to fly. She was sort of worried he might take her gift the wrong way. Ely took a breath and ignored the butterflies dancing a wild jig in her belly. She held out her hand to Kiga instead.
"I wanted to give you this for awhile now. It's magical Kiga. I'll wear the matching one. It can let you feel emotions. If I'm scared or worried or in pain it will tell you that. And, I'll know how you feel."
The two silver rings were resting in the palm of her hand
The Entangled Lovers - These rings were worn by two lovers, who were said to almost be of one soul. - The owner may wear one ring, and give one to another player. - The wearers may sense each-other's emotions, and even whether they are in pain or not.

Kiga, for the first time in a long time; didn't know what to say. Or do. He was very much astounded, stumped and all manner of things that described that funny feeling you have when suddenly, you aren't sure what you should be feeling at all.
He was shocked. And in the best way to be shocked.
His lip trembled a little, because he was trying to say something. Now there a whole bazillion things rattling about his head and none would sit still long enough for him to make sense of it. He reached up with hand, very nervously; and placed it over hers.
He was still staring, eyes on his hand as though he could still see the rings. His expression was one she might not see again for some time.
"Ely.... I...."
Nope, still no words. Just a thousand little birds flying about in his stomach and making quite a ruckus. His head spun a little and as if to give the sensation voice; he whistled aloud. Then he smiled.

Ely put one of the rings in his palm and folded his fingers over top of it. She showered his knuckles afterwards with tiny kisses, too. He had not said anything beyond her name but he had smiled at her.
For now, that was going to be enough. She was never quite sure how he would behave when she tried to show him how she felt. It wasn't his fault, of course, she did not blame him. It was not his fault that his life had been devoid of anyone that cared about him other than what he could do for them.
She also knew there were horrible things he'd done. Things that he never wanted her to know. She was not going force him to talk about them, either. Maybe one day when he was sure that she would not think the worst of him he would tell her.
Until then, she would be happy knowing something she did had made him smile.

Kiga was still completely lost for words and he wasn't sure he could stop smiling long enough to get his lips to work either. He slipped the ring on his middle finger of his right hand, tucking it tightly under his glove. He held it on there too, his free thumb and finger twisting it to make sure it was on quite tightly.
With nothing he could find the capacity to say, he scooted and shuffled on his knees until he was as close to her as could be.
It just so happens he could get his lips to work then, but he remained quiet for quite some time.
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely had no desire to talk, either. While she had no problem doing so something else was far more important at this moment. She slide her ring on the thumb of her right hand, and being magical it molded to that finger as if it had been made just for her. Then she wrapped her arms, and most of her body around Kiga.
She did not come up for air for a very long time.
When she did it was way past time for her to be hunting for any herbs. Instead she made the smallest of gestures to light all the candles in the room before whispering at the man beside her.
"Kiga. We should go out and find you something to eat. Tomorrow is soon enough to search for herbs if you still wish to help me. I had a thought, too. We could return to the menhirs and see about merging our magics again. If you are not busy."
Ely had wanted to do this since they had tried it months ago. But, Kiga had been so occupied with other things she did not want to ask him.

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Kiga listened in a rather exaggerated manner, smiling the whole time. When she finished whispering in his ear he nodded rather enthusiastically - then turned and toppled with her to the floor once more. He was careful not to bump her head or anything, as that would likely ruin his chance at more Ely kisses.
After a quick moment, he bounced to his feet and laughed.
"Yeah, let's go! Tonight we eat and tomorrow we do magic and look for plants!"
It sounded rather simple in his terms, but whilst he lacked the grandeur of the notion, he certainly made up for it with zeal. He offered her a hand to help her up.
"I'm all yours. So you're calling the shots. Where to?"
