What a stupid question. Ely was beating herself up for even asking when his lips landed on hers. She did not care about the debris, the kitchen, or even her appearance. Kiga kissed her and she quite literally fell into his arms.
There was a startled thought in the very back of her mind. One that said as far as she was concerned Kiga never had to stop kissing her. Then the whine slipped out of her mouth. Where did all the annoyance go? Why was she thinking at this point? Damn her curious brain!
Ely's eyes fell closed and her voice whispered past their joined lips.
"Kiga..."
She drew out that last a as if she did not want to let go of his name.

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Kiga felt whole when he held her in his arms, her sweet, soft lips upon his. His head spun just enough to make him smile with delight, robbed him of the nervousness in this moment and gave him just enough - barely just enough calm to prevent his squawking and running away. When his lips left her, he whispered with a smile, his hand upon her cheek.
"Ely."
He chuckled softly then as he scuttled back to pull the cupboard frame from around her shoulders and then lifted her from the floor and onto her feet. His hands were holding onto her, him staring at her. He was nervous now, swallowing hard, his heart racing.
"So.... would you be my girl again? Cause the pigeons have been asking about you...."
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely shook her head, huffed and made some other sounds as the cupboard was pulled away. Those were not because of the removal, either. No, she was trying to recover from the kiss and that lingering touch of Kiga's hand.
Of course then he picked her up off her feet and... and...
Did she want to be his girl?
Fireworks went off in someplace only Ely could see. A brilliant kaleidescope of colors behind her eyes with Kiga in the center of them. There might have been exploding hearts and flowers and maybe even little tweety birds. Oh. Right. She needed to answer him. Kiga was watching her and holding her hands.
Kiga 'oofs' as she thuds into his chest, but his arms fly out and in to grab her, then lift and spin her about with him. He is laughing, altogether elated...
When he kisses her again. Because there is no time like the now to let her know just how she makes you feel.
No, he didn't wake up the ruckus earlier. He hadn't wanted to, not when his dreams were so very splendid and perhaps a little obsessed with the girl in his arms. But now, with him awake and her being in his arms being quite the reality... well. He might doubt whether he ever wanted to sleep again.
"Then... I am your man."

Ely remained right where she was nestled against his chest while he spun them around. She did not care where they landed, at all. Then, of course, the kiss took the rest of her attention. It might have lasted for days. Who can really tell with that first rush of excitement that comes with such things?
Do you honestly pay attention to something as mundane as time at that point?
Well. If you do? Shame on you.
Oh. And I'll let you in on a little secret...
I never do.
Neither did Ely.
I will end it there.
Kiga you take the following: +5 acclaim +30 gold, and mostly because of the cleaning up of Ely's kitchen. That might have taken her days, otherwise.
I will take: +5 acclaim +20 gold.
She is endlessly amusing to write. Thank you.

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Ely yanked the massive iron door to her library open. The ice that had been sealing it closed for the past two days shattered into tiny shards. They showered the ground in front of her for mere seconds, as well; before melting into a puddle of pale colored water.
The Cathian girl's emerald green eyes squinted against the glaring sunlight. The snow had finally stopping falling. She pulled the cloak tighter to her body. Ely wasn't chilled, at all. No respectable Cathian would be. Still, the wind could freeze a warm body as easily as it had her door.
Ely glanced back inside the building where a huge hearth was playing host to a cheery fire, where rows of bookcases stood like ancient sentinels; and where the books upon them were left waiting for a inquisitive mind to plumb the depths of knowledge on each and every page.
Ely's nimble hand was lifted in the air and then snapped into a fist. She needed physical activity today instead of her books.
"Incendia Consto!"
The Fire Mage smiled to herself and pulled the iron door closed. The fire would remain burning steadily in the hearth. It would not require fuel, it would not ignite anything else, and it would keep the rather large room exceptionally warm until she returned. Ely glanced at the pristine snow blanketing the ground around her.
There was someone waiting by her door, looking very cold and rather morose.
Kiga stood, knee deep in snow and without a jacket (or the sense to wear one); clutching his arms and trying to rub them warm. He couldn't have looked more cold-stricken if he had an icicle hanging from his very red nose. He seemed to brighten when he saw her though, waving rather enthusiastically.
"Hiya!"
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely squeaked and jumped. She did not expect him to be right outside her door. She was going to have to get used to a ninja being her boyfriend. Oh my. He was shivering terribly.
"Kiga!"
She was going to say something about him dressing warmer, but that sounded so much like her mother, the words died before they ever took form on her lips. She rushed to him instead and wrapped both her hands around him in a fierce hug. She only held him for a minute or two before stepping back and rubbing both his arms vigorously.
"Here, come inside."
Ely shoved the door of the library open and tugged on his hand to pull him over the threshold.

Kiga almost toppled in the door sideways with the tug on his hand, he was caught off guard due to his being occupied with not freezing. He was trembling a little but still smiling now she was awake and he looked about her home with wide, fascinated eyes.
"Oh wow. You've really been busy in here, huh?"
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely looked around. To her the place needed a ton of work. She still had so many books to catalog. Still, she had managed to clean all the covers, bookcases, and most of the floor. She had realized early on that she was going to need a lot more help, too.
Two of her brothers lived in Fennen and she had sent a letter to them requesting stone and wood workers to help out. She couldn't offer them much but some choice volumes from her collection of books. Like Ely, they would move the world around for new literature. They had hired four men and the six of them showed up in Wistvale within a week.
The first, and most important thing; to Ely at least, were the trees. She refused to get rid of them and she refused to repair the roof or floor where they had broken through, they needed both fresh sunlight and dirt to grow. Finally, the workers had gotten her to agree; for safety's sake, to shore up the roof beams and cut away the rotted floor. The trees now had their own little section of fresh earth and sunshine. It was like having a wildlife sanctuary indoors. There were a few wide benches around the trees, too.
She tugged Kiga even closer to the hearth fire. His expression was wonderful to see.
"I can't take all the credit. None of it but the cleaning really. My brothers did most of the work around the trees."
Kiga was nodding his approval as the rather astouned look on his face subsided and he looked to ger once more. He smiled then in that boyish manner, that she seemed to bring on so easily.
"You have brothers? I never knew. But really, the place looks great!"
He was genuinely happy now and it seemd the red the cold had burned onto his cheeks was starting to wane as well within the warmth of her home.
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
"I have four older brothers. Earon, Estus, Evar, and Edison, though I could have wished for none at times."
Ely reached up and put her hand on Kiga's reddened cheek. For a minute she was worried he had gotten frostbitten. It was easy to do and often not noticeable until it happened.
"What are you doing out in the cold, Kiga?"

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Kiga's eyes lit up when she asked and then thrust is hand into his pocket, only to frown upon doing so. He pulled his hand away with little but watery slush in his grasp and he sighed as he looked upon the indistinct mess.
"Oh.
Nothing. Really. I was... in the neighborhood. Have any plans today?"
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely's brows wrinkled up. That expression on his face was pleased, elated even, but it died fast. Nevertheless she caught something... disappointed in it before he spoke.
"I had planned for a jaunt through the snow, truthfully. There are some things growing beneath the earth now that won't appear again for months. Of course, I don't have to do it today..."
That was definitely true. Plus, if it came down to a choice between the snow or Kiga? Ely would pick Kiga every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
"Did you want to do something?"
Ely's green eyes were quite bright with sudden ideas of her own.
