Kiga fell asleep as well, curling up beside her but both arms wound about her and holding on as though she might slip away. He whistled gently as he slept, occasionally starting and stopping when he stirred and then buried his face beside hers once more.

When Ely woke the next morning it was to Kiga's face buried against her neck. Her heart stopped. No. It was her breathing that stop. Ohh bugger it, both of them stopped working properly. Her hand went up to smooth the wild strands of his hair.
Birds were chirping in the tree above her, the early morning sunshine barely cutting through the gloom of the building. The candles from the night before had guttered out, wax long since spilled over the holders and stiffened into place.
Kiga giggled in his sleep when she mussed with his hair and he rolled, then scooted to get closer to her again. His skin was cold to the touch, him trying to sink his head into his shirt - which was doomed to fail of course. He didn't wake though, she was too gentle for that and he was quite blissfully dreaming of no one other than her and he presently. He smiled, still asleep and whistled. The words that came were mumbled, half giggles.
"Hey.... that tickles.... Ely..."
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely's lips twitched. She wanted to laugh, the sound was so... well... captivating. But, he was not awake. That immediately kindled her curiosity into a feverish state. What was he dreaming about? Why did he say her name? What images were going on in the recesses of his mind? Well, that second one was sort of obvious. Whatever it was he was dreaming about she was tickling him.
She reached out her hand compulsively and stopped halfway to reaching him. She wanted to tickle. She wanted to see his eyes open and watch his expression change. But, she couldn't do it. Ely had been on the receiving end of too many teasing games by her older brothers. They had a habit of sticking all kinds of things in her bed while she slept. It was not pleasant waking up to wiggly snakes.
Her hand went back up through his hair. If the first stroke had not stopped him from sleeping surely this one would not either. Right? Of course not Ely. She was a little bolder this time, as well. Her nails slid past the white hair to his skull. She pulled the strands back from his face with it.
"Shhh, Kiga. Sleep."
Her voice was barely loud enough for her to hear.

He looked just a little startled, eyebrows raised... and then he soothed, relaxed at her touch. He was still fast asleep, but shifted himself closer still for warmth, pressing his face into her chest and smiling happily once there.
Surely enough, the giggling stopped and he started whistling softly with each breath, a birds manner of snoring.

Ely clamped her hand over her mouth. She had to get up before the whistling sent her into gales of laughter. She wiggled free of his arms, slowly, and mostly because she really did not want to leave them.
It was morning. Yes. She had slept all night in Kiga's arms. On the floor. Under a tree. These facts were sorted in her head coolly and calmly while her heartbeat rattled around her chest. She looked back down at him and found a blanket to cover him.
She would find him something to eat. What did he like to eat?

Well. There's only so much that can be said about someone sleeping. And that is what he continued to do and would for a short time yet, still smiling and dreaming of a red headed cat girl and a field full of flowers. He smiled and giggled again as he pulled the blanket tighter about him, a sliver of drool rolling out the corner of his mouth as he began whistling once more.

Yes. Someone sleeping can only do so much. One wonders why they would choose to remain asleep while a mussed and probably easily heard catgirl is wandering around them. Golly, ninjas have gotten a lot less alert in recent times. AHEM.
Ely was not watching the drooling Kiga currently, either. No, she was in the kitchen trying to figure out how such things worked. She really was not much of a cook. Ely preferred fresh fish, fruits, and vegetables when she had the choice.

Well SOME ninja, being that YOU KNOW, that is the plural of ninja; well they might just be feeling entirely safe and content and might, just MIGHT be entirely unwilling to wake up from their fantastic little ninja dreams.
But since Ely was making such a terrible ruckus, Kiga stirred from his sleep. Being that he is a ninja and NOT an architect, he wasn't sure of whether he could see the kitchen or not but assuming he cannot; he sat up groggily and wiped his chin. Eyes blinking and hair flopping about, the blanket pooled in his lap as he blinked and took in where he was.
He'd just spent the night sleeping on Ely's floor. Alone apparently. Way to feel like a vagrant.
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Fine. Fine. SOME ninja might still be decently alert. You know, in areas where alertness serves some purpose and keeps them from falling asleep or being murdered in said sleep.
Meanwhile.
Ely was making a rather huge ruckus. Pots, pans, silverware, plates, and several other items hit the floor when the cabinet she opened swung away from the wall and fell apart.
She did not get hit by any of the falling items, but that was only because she had been somewhat protected by the open cabinet door. However, she was rather buried in the debris currently.
Kiga picked himself up off the floor when he heard the commotion and padded his way into the kitchen, still not entirely lively. Then he found a foot, a tail and a hand - all sticking out of a pile of pots, pans and assorted cabinetry that was no longer up to code. He wasn't terribly worried, she hadn't yelled or anything to cause him to react in such a manner.
So instead, he walked around the pile and then, figuring it's where her head had to be... he opened a cupboard door that sat upon the pile and found her face inside. He smiled then, eyes still sleepy.
"Well hiya."

Ely made a short, disgruntled sound. She huffed too, but that was only to blow the bangs of her hair out of her face. She had lost the ribbon that usually kept it away from her eyes during the collision. One of her ears was up and the other one was down, too, completing the utter disarray of her appearance.
"Um... hi. Can you like take this off? I can't seem to get my hands free."
Sure enough the cabinet had gotten lodged against her shoulders and even if she could have found her hands it was highly doubtful she would have been able to move them. She looked thoroughly embarrassed by the whole issue.

Kiga looked a little surprised by the request, not expecting that in greeting - and the looked rather embarrassed.
"Oh... yeah. Sorry."
So, he closed the cupboard door once more and sorted himself out, having a look at the mess in front of him and trying to figure out how best to do this. He didn't want to hurt her of course and there was a lot of it.
But ninja type lads are often prone to impulsive thoughts and consequent actions and so, he crouched in front of her once more, opening the cupboard door again. He smiled as though he'd done nothing wrong as yet and looked at her, eyes level.
"Ok. Close your eyes. This won't hurt a bit."
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely obediently closed her eyes. I mean, how much worse could it be? She was getting a little dizzy from the opening and shutting of the cabinet door, too. For Ely, closed in spaces reminded her of things best left in the past.
She was completely positive she wanted nothing more to do with kitchens, either. Ever. Wait. What did he say Why would it hurt?
Ely's eyes flew back open.
"Kiga? What are you doing?"

Kiga was alarmingly close when she opened her eyes suddenly... and though she caught him completely off guard and he looked as though he might just run away.... well he made it the rest fo the distance and kissed her. He didn't move either, he stayed there with his lips upon hers and as he did so, his hands waved and weaved, wound and... did something else rather 'w' like and in no time at all and amidst a lot of whooshing (oh, there's a 'w') and other assorted airy noise, he had lifted all of the debris and deposited it about the room.
She barely felt a thing, other than the winds he had used to lift the rubble away.
Oh. And he'd forgotten to stop kissing her it seemed.
