Before answering, Quick relaxed his chest and stomach, making the chains wrapped around him under his coat rattle a bit. He let out a sigh and answered Tallia's barrage.
"We're going to steal from another caravan, a merchant one, and we're going to be a distraction so we can lure the armed escort away from the train. Then Fray and his boys will jump in and loot the lot, hopefully without any blood need'n to be spilled. The spoils are going with Fray's lot so they can distribute it among themselves and their families. The merchant train belongs to a man who owns the town Fray and his boys are from, and they ain't treated to fairly down there. They got themselves in a rut and can't just very well leave."
He took a breath, "Basically Fray and his boys are escaped convicts on the run from indentured service. They've been runnin for years now thinkin' ways to get back at that one man and free their families."
His eyes rolled up trying to remember Tallia's other questions in order.
"Yea I done this before, sort of, but my way of doin' things ain't subtle, and I won't have a decent head start away from the armed men if I get the jump on em. I don't know Fray much, other than his story. I took the job the same as you, only I got on his good side." he chuckled remembering Tallia's attempt at getting the job.
"No, Quick, isn't my real name, but at this point it might as well be. That's how I'm summoned if folk got work for me. I ain't keepin' the spoils because that ain't part of the job. I distract, Fray takes his loot, I get paid afterwards. No, that ain't to many questions. It's good to ask questions, otherwise you'll never know what you're really gettin yourself into."
He fixed his hat, "Anything else, darlin'?"
