Tallia simply cocked her head to the side, looking at Grayell confusedly, then nodded slowly in agreement, not sure what exactly they were getting into... It had been a while since the two had actually seen each other, so she was already excited to just waste the day away with him.
Kiga had been looking to locate Grayell, he had a message for him. Finally, he spotted him and with one swift leap, kicked off the rooftop he was perched upon and tumbled to the ground below, landing with a muffled thud on his feet and knees. He stood up and looked at Grayell with all the seriousness he usually portrayed.
A message for you, I believe it's of some.... ugen... cy....
He stammered when he saw her. She had ears. Hoo boy. He stared for a moment, completely screaming to a halt in every other motion... and then snapped out of it. His face serious again, he looked to Grayell and handed him the scroll.
Grayell opened the parchment and read it and his brow furrowed some, him frowning. He sighed and rolled it up, tapping it against his hand. He turned to Tallia and frowned some more.
Hey Kiddo. I gotta take care of some business. You think you can wait for me - gimme a couple of hours or so? Just keep busy about town, I'll find you when I am done. Ok?
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
She returned his frown with a pout of her own, and nodded her head sadly. Things seemed like they were going too smoothly, she thought. She looked over at the messenger... was he OK? She felt an urge to ask, but refrained from doing anything. For all she knew, it was strictly business, and he did not want to be bothered... With a sigh, she turned and went, wandering aimlessly into town.
Kiga looked at Tallia as she walked away, looking dejected. He looked at Grayell, the back to her... and caught up quickly. He walked beside her and smled, turned to talk to her and...
... he didn't. He only blushed and his hand nervously rubbed his neck, then looked at the ground. He mumbled.
I... have... ah... have nothing... else to do. If... like wanted... to um.. do something.
Kiga looked away in a nervous manner when she spoke to him but he nodded his head quickly. He wiped sweat from his forhead and then tried a cheesy smile, it wasn't hiding his nerves.
Ummm yes.
I... I... wanted to... well...
Kiga didn't know what to say. But he tried all the same.
Can I... walk with you?
The half elf ninja blushed bright red now. He wasn't expecting a good response to that.
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
She was a bit surprised by the question, but nevertheless considered it an interesting proposition. What really got her was why he was blushing... Blushing all the same, she turned away for a quick second before turning back to face him.
"I... I've... never been asked... something like that... before... I... I guess it's... alright... I don't... really know the town well, anyway..."
Kiga stopped walking when she answered him. His eye was huge and his mouth agape, seems she'd shocked him. It took him a moment and he was quick to catch her again and now, walked beside her in a rather animated manner - his thumbs tucked into his belt and him taking long, but slow steps.
He whistled, a cheeful warble and tilted his head. He'd broken the ice and now, he would be less awkward. Surely.
Oh I know the town! You can see EVERYTHING from up there.
He looked at the rooftops.
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
The rooftops...? That certainly seems like an interesting idea... She looked along with him, wondering exactly which one he was looking at, but came to the realization that he did so to add effect... Sighing mentally to herself, she was intrigued by how different things would look from up there... it had been a while... hadn't it...?
"That... that sounds... good... Um... how do you... get there...?"
Kiga looked at her with surprise then but a bright smile painted itself on his face. He grabbed a pipe and then turned as he hopped against the wall and offered her a hand.
Do.... you think you can trust me?
His smile was excited and a little nervous.
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
Tallia hesitated as she looked at his hand, then into his beaming face. This felt like a scene from a fairy tale... that could have been retold using future technology on some sort of broadcasting device... she decided not to think too much about it if she wanted her brain to stay intact...
"Y... yes..."
Thrusting her hand into his and blushing wildly, she wanted to experience what he had to offer...
Kiga was gentle once she took his hand and whilst his cheeks were still a bright cherry red, he pulled her to his side with suprising ease. His hand around her waist, he quickly scaled the side of the building and then helped her scuttle over the edge of the roof. He climbed up next to her and smiled bashfully.
He looked out over the view then and breathed in the air, warbling like a small song bird.
It's wonderful up here. The view, it's just....
He had followed the horizon and now his eyes were on her again. It made him pause and of course, there was the blushing.
