Grayell's eyebrow twitched then and he smirked, disguising it behind a sip from the freshly poured tea. His hand rested on Kiko's thigh and he squeezed it gently, looking at her for a moment.
Interesting wouldn't you say? Think she could hunt with the wolves darling?
He was amusing himself and of course meant no insult, but her claim snatched his interest. Hunting was a large part of Grayell's life, it always had been and forever shall be. The thought of a slip of a cat woman running with them made only made him smile wider of course.
She liked Kat. Her plucky attitude was enticing and, even if she'd spooked her in the tree, Kiko had found the subsequent conversation enjoyable. She smiled at her and returned the empty teapot and cups back to where she had gotten them.
Kiko reentered the room and pressed her face to the Wolf's shoulder.
I would reiterate the invitation to stay here for the night, Katerina. Tomorrow is soon enough to see about finding you a more permanent place.

Grayell lifted his hand and held her there a moment, an inward sigh in response to her touch. He nodded in a agreement to his beloved's words.
Agreed. And tonight, that hammock will let you star gaze should you like. The oilcloth is rolled back, I am not expecting rain.

Katerina made a gesture that would have, back home, been interpreted as "if you're sure...", and it didn't take her long before she realised it didn't mean anything here. "Well, if you are sure..."
She drained the last of her tea and unfolded her slight frame from the chair. "Thank you, then. And thank you for rolling the oilcloth back. I do like space and openness."
Kiko led Katerina to where the hammock was tied up. Here, the fog had never penetrated and the stars were dotting the heavens above their heads.
Sleep well, Kat. We'll be about, and there will be tea and something to eat in the morning.
Kiko resisted the urge to run her hand over the top of Kat's head. She didn't know where it came from, either. She left the girl to her own devices then, slipping away to give her privacy or as much as she could find.

Grayell only remained by the fire to see it stoked. It would hopefully burn longer and perhaps he would sleep through the night.

Kat climbed into the hammock and smiled brightly up at Kiko. She curled up under the blankets and before three breaths were gone, was soundly asleep, making a low, rolling, purring sound in her slumber.
Kiko slid her arms around the Wolf from behind. She rested her chin on the mass of wild hair atop his head and gave him a soft sound of enjoyment. Her eyes were already well on their way to closed, too.
I should have asked you, Wolf. I did not think. Forgive me?

Grayell stood and turned to wind his arms about her waist. His chin almost to his chest, he looked at her with an absurdly cheeky expression, sucking his lip. His eyes wandered to the bed and then back to her once more.
He lifted her hand of course and as it came to his mouth, the smile faded to just a smear of an affectionate grin. Eyes cut through the gloom like flames and he moved slowly, began to circle her.
But we cannot keep her awake. Perhaps... we should leave her alone?
Kiko's head was cocked to one side. She was listening to the sounds around them. She could not hear Kat, but that didn't mean the girl could not hear them, and she did not want to disturb her.

Grayell moved backward and as the moon spilled onto his hair and shoulders, him now standing on the balcony, it open to the sky - he stepped back onto the rail. His hand slipped from hers and it gave him enough spring to leap up and back, folding in the air and dropping to the ground in a silver, shining form that landed on all fours. He looked up expectantly, his tail excited.
