Solena had left the tavern and walked just outside of Wistvale, so to not cause any problems within the little town. She began to stretch as she waited for Jonah to arrive, after he had accepted to duel her in a little sparring match. It was an open field with the grass just below their knees and with a few trees around. It was broad day time as the sun shined over them, waiting for the silence to be interupted by the fight.

Jonah stopped a little ways away from Solena. He suddenly realized he didn't know anything about the way the half-elf he'd just met fought - what weapons she used, her fighting style, nothing.
After stretching most of her body, she unsheathed her twin blades, that had blue tribal marks running down on them. She swang them around in front of her and to her sides a few times. It was apparent that she knew how to use them right away. She then pointed her left one at Jonah with her arm extended out towards him and her right one over her shoulder with her elbow bent in.
Punches and kicks go, but no cuts... Ready?
She had a smirk on her face. It had been a while since she had fought someone, but she was really excited to do it once more.

No cuts? Well that was reassuring, since Jonah was the only one of them to be using a blunt weapon! He unsheathed Percy, his darkwood sword, and held it out to his side. The tribesman nodded his readiness and grinned.
Her hands come in front of her, still holding her blades, as if she were grabbing something and lifting it up towards Jonah.
Rising dirt!
The dirt rises under Jonah's feet and blows in his face in hopes to blind him for a brief moment. She uses it as cover as she charges towards him, with a spin kick to his chest once in range.

Having prepared himself for a close combat assault, Jonah had a split second to close his mouth and eyes once he realized the dirt rising from beneath him. He raised his free arm to cover his face but his reactions had come too slowly. He'd been caught off guard, not knowing that Solena could use magic. Some dirt had managed to get into his eyes before they had shut, causing temporary blindness for the tribesman.
Going with the theory that the half-elf was going to attack from the front, Jonah raised his darkwood sword before him, for what little protection it could offer. But, with his vision filled with a cloud of dirt and lacking the acute hearing of a fox, Jonah was spin-kicked off his feet. The air was knocked out of him from both the kick to the chest and the slam of his back as it made contact with the ground.
The Akaiyan desperately rubbed at his eyes to clear his sight and quickly got back to his feet, unsure what Solena might be planning next.
Well played, Miss Mullan. I was not expecting that magic trick.
Still using the suprise of attack, she didn't reply but continued on the attack. With the tribesman back on his feet, her right sword came forward towards his stomach area, stopping right before it made contact, followed by her left sword spinning around her hand, the butt end facing forward, swinging forward to hit Jonah in the face.

Blinking the last of the dirt from his eyes, Jonah aimed a shot at the back of Solena's right hand, before it got too close, and quickly sprang to his left. If his sword connected with her wrist the tribesman imagined that the resulting blow would cause the half-elf's arms to overlap, nullifying her second weapon's momentum.
I've been thinking about this issue of freedom, Miss Mullan.
Jonah stepped back as he spoke, widening the gap once again between them.
Would you care to hear my thoughts?

Jonah's hit made Solena drop her blade from the pain and her other attack miss its mark, but she spun with the flow and intended to hit him with her elbow to his face. Her other hand was making some sort of movement which Jonah could not make out at the moment. As the fight continued she responded to him.

Jonah watched as the athletic half-elf spun towards him. He could have probably dodged out of the way but instead the tribesman caught Solena's elbow with his free hand and leaned his face in closer to her's.
You believe freedom means you CAN do anything you want, but it does not mean you SHOULD. Tell me, do you take into account other people when you choose to act however you want?
With her arm caught by the tribesman from behind, she's unable to face her opponent now. She tries to pull away, but Jonah is too strong for her.
No! Why should I?
Her free arm extends out towards her blade that was dropped just a few feet away, as she spoke, and her hand opens up calling for it. In an instant it lifts up from the ground and flies towards its weilder to be caught. Once it was back in her hand, she spins it around so that the tip of the blade is facing her elbow and it comes back towards Jonah's stomach, stopping just in time so that she can just tap him with it.

Jonah looked down at the blade tip poking him in the stomach.
Oh, well played. I fear you have an advantage over me, Miss Mullan.
He pushed her away by the elbow but quickly closed the gap, reducing the chances of Solena getting in the first attack again. Jonah swung his blunt sword around at the half-elf's side; he wouldn't strike with force but he would aim to connect gently.
As she was being pushed away, she responded to him.
And what advantage is th- ooof!
At that moment she didn't expect the tribesman to attack right away. His wooden sword hitting her side, making her bend towards that side in pain. She took a moment to let the pain slowly decrease before getting into a defense stance and waiting for his reply. Both her swords in front of her, just in case he decided to attack once again.

Jonah was suffering slight pangs of guilt for hitting a woman; yet another advantage Solena had over him, but she seemed to recover well from the mild assault. Jonah suspected that she'd suffered worse during her lifetime, something had clearly made her turn out the way she had - somewhat bitter and angry at the world to not care how her actions effected others.
The Akaiyan dropped back into a defensive position, his sword raised from right hip to his left shoulder.
Where did a girl like you learn to master the magical arts of the earth? Was it in your homeland, amongst those people you claim to have treated you badly?
Jonah realized that his words may strike a spark of rage within the half-elf fighter, but the tribesman knew that some wounds would never heal right if there was still trace of resentment and hate. He may not be a healer in the physical sense but that discourage him from an attempt to break down some of Solena's psychological barriers, to try and change her attitude towards the world and it's inhabitants.
In the beginning of the fight it was just a friendly duo between her and a random fighter, but it was beginning to become personal for her. She wasn't liking the fact that she was being "interogated". Her next attack would show it. After receiving a hit from the tribesman, she felt it was her turn to leave him feeling the hurt. Her eyes quickly scanned the ground around them and she noticed some rocks. She grinned once again and called out to them with her hands.
Rock attack! Rocks from different sizes and shapes, not too large tho, rose from the ground and flew towards Jonah.
