Serenity was beginning to moan a little before Margrett stopped, still shaking on the line between going along with this maneuver or not at all. She sighed, chuckling when Margrett apologized.
"It's quite alright, I just, was at a disadvantage." she giggled.
The coat was beginning to make her feel very warm, with not much help from Margrett's advancement. Serenity removed it along with the scarf and put it aside, her breathing becoming a little more apparent.
"Your partners must have been so adventurous," she said before leaning over to grab Margrett's head to kiss her.
She took the kiss, her hands exploratory, giggling a little at Serenity's reaction. Sh pulled back a little, smiling mischievously, about to say something, when she froze and looked at the mirror behind the age.
N...no one followed us down. So who is that?
Margrett snapped her head back, but saw nothing. When she turned back she saw it again; a hooded, cloaked figure behind a rack of clothing. She let go of Serenity slowly, whispering.
There's something in the mirror. I'm going to pick up the candle and chase it, and you need to follow me. She raised an eyebrow, smirking despite the situation.
Before she could even truly begin, Serenity stopped what she was doing when Margrett did, and was about to ask what was wrong before she spoke out.
Immediately, Serenity got a chill down her spine and whipped her head back quickly to look in the mirror, barely seeing anything before Margrett urged her to follow after her and the supposed figure. The mage's nerves and senses were in utter confusion as she picked herself up.
"Yes, I'm alright," she said hurriedly as she got her candle and looked back at Margrett.
The blush in her face was turning cold now, her features showing deep concern in the dark and dim light of her candle. She didn't want to look back into the mirror to see if the figure was still there on the opposite end. Her hopes were that Margrett was just seeing things but she would humor her chase regardless.
"What, what did you see in there exactly?" she asked nervously.

Margrett smiled, letting out a small breathy laugh.
Normal ghost. Nothing to be scared of. She took Serenity's hand gently and grinned.
Let's go. She turned quickly and took off, looking to see if the mage caught up. She saw a flash of gray in the rows of clothes, following it, quickly getting deeper into the piles of junk.
Normal ghost she says, I never seen ghosts before today!
Shaking her head at the audacity, Serenity took Margrett's hand and kept up with her as best she could, taking care to watch her step and not drag behind the guardswoman. Simultaneously she would look and briefly look to her sides to see anything spectral that might leap up on them. She hoped nothing would.

Margrett turned sharply when she saw a flash of white, pulling Serenity behind her gently. They ran for what seemed like a few minutes, never in a straight line for long, zigzagging around. Margrett grew frustrated as she went, but also wondered how long it would be before they hit the wall of the basement. After a long while they stopped in a clearing, formed from a series of shelves set in a circle around a small pedestal, probably meant for putting a platform on the stage. Margrett stopped and leaned on a shelf, looking around as she panted and tried to catch her breath, then looked back to Serenity.
Serenity looked about briefly as she too caught her breath, familiarizing herself with the new area and looking back from where they came.
"I'm alright, but where are we now?"
The question seemed silly soon afterwards as this place was new to both women, and as much theater experience as Serenity has, not all buildings are the same.
"What was it that we were chasing anyway? I didn't see whatever it was."
In the frantic, Serenity wasn't paying attention to the path they were on and now wasn't sure how to get back to Egon.
Margrett stood up straight, taking in a deep breath.
It was a...thing in white. You know how they tell stories of how ghosts look? That's what it looked like. She looked back down the path, a little anxiously.
Maybe we shouldn't have run this far without a way back....
This area had very few things besides the shelves and the small stage in the middle; and that was covered in unlit candles.
"Oh dear..." Serenity said as she looked around, confirming that they were indeed lost.
"Well, might as well see where we are exactly, no use just standing around catching breath." she said as she moved to the center pedestal with all the candles.
Using her own candle, Serenity lit all the others to better illuminate the room.
When Serenity's candle first touched one of the others, the rest of them lit up...and lit up green. The candles burned green, and lit the dark room with an eerie glow. Lines started to spread along the floor from the pedestal outward, green shapes slinking along the ground. Margrett backed up a few paces, trying not to step on them, but they overtook her. She sighed when nothing happened, and looked towards the candles.
This...look like anything you know of, Serenity? Being...the mage, and all.
Serenity was taken back a bit by the sudden phenomenon. Her body remained stiff until it was all over and she could assess what was going on exactly. She was staring at the candles when Margrett asked the question,
"I'm...not sure exactly. This seems to be some sort of ritual magic, which I didn't practice nor studied in depth."
Not entirely sure on what to do, she looked behind her towards the shelves to see if there was perhaps a book that would explain this.
There wasn't anything that immediately was obvious on the bookshelves, but her questions seemed like they were being answered anyways. There was a sudden breeze in the otherwise still air, whipping around and making the flames flicker on the candles, spinning them around and up and up until they created a shimmering pillar of green flame, almost reaching to the ceiling. A pair of black eyes looked out, slits of suspicion and mysterious intent.
