Celephai shook her head. People and their stupid morality often made mistakes like this angel, and that often gave her a headache.
"You still did something, there's no changing that. Someone WILL find out eventually... what will you do then?"
People needed to come to terms with what might happen if they go through with these actions. While Celephai lacked a moral compass similar to most, she did have a solid grasp of cause-and-effect relationships, and there was always a reaction to someone's action... there were always things that one couldn't hide.
Celephai nodded thoughtfully. If this intruder upon the mortal plane decided to pick a fight or otherwise cause trouble for her, then she'd be happy to oblige in some mayhem. It had been awhile since she'd been in a scrap...
"Would you like me to deal with him... violently?"
Sometimes permission helped when dealing with those of moral obligations, even if she didn't always listen to the answer.
Eli stared for a moment, as if he didn't think it was an option.
You...you could try. But he's a...well, a Beta-class. He's not me, I'm just a Delta. He got up, holding his head.
Okay, umm...you know...how...Outsiders have a hierarchy within themselves, with more and more powerful Outsiders as you go up the chain? Beta means he's second from the top. You could try, but...I dunno. You could try.
Celephai shrugged. It was worth always worth a good swing. Unfortunately, she didn't have a weapon. That was fine with her, as she enjoyed hand-to-hand far more than swinging around a sharp metal object. As for the strength of this person... second from the top, that sounded pretty strong. Maybe he wouldn't be as creative or adaptive as she was.
"When will he be here?"
She stared upward, hoping to catch a glimpse of the incoming threat.
You're really gonna try this? He's just here for me. He has nothing to do with you. If you don't interfere, he doesn't have any reasons to deal with Keters.

Celephai started strolling back and forth in the sand, occasionally glancing upward.
"Well, let me put it this way. You've given me a very important thing that might well grant me freedom for the remainder of my life, and you're here on vacation. I think I can at least give you a small amount of extra time for your trouble. As much as I care for entropy, I'm hardly rude enough to take something for nothing."
Maybe the whole 'morality' thing was starting to rub off on her, but there was also the fact that she was spoiling for a fight.
She clicked her tongue. What else was new? Maybe Heaven would see to send more sacrifices to the Elder Gods after she kicked some feathered, glowing ass.
Those weren't her exact thoughts, but it came close enough. She glanced behind Eli, pointing to the light.
"Is that him? Do they always signal their arrival like that?"
The the light got closer, it solidified and turned golden. A shining, gleaming golden figure descended from the sky, spear trailing golden energy. As he reached the ground he pointed it at Eli, his voice booming and deep.
Eli. You have been judged and found guilty of obstructing justice, due process, and the Order of Heaven.
Golden chains appeared around Eli's body, making him fall to his knees. He cried out, gasping, glaring up at the angel.
Order...you flaunted the order when you ordered Elsa killed! If you couldn't have her no one could! The angel stared down impassively. She defied my order and stayed here with a mortal. She deserved it.
She didn't deserve anything, you....you bastard!
Eli was screaming now, the chains smoking and burning through his suit. The angel looked away from him to Celephai.
Stay out of this, Outsider. This does not concern you. The affairs of Heaven are nothing to Outsiders. You know this as well as I.
Celephai shook her head as the angel handed down divine punishment, remaining mostly silent as he boomed out warnings and commandments. It never ceased to amaze her how much angels talked. On and on and on...
Finally, he directed his attentions to Cel, and promptly delivered his warning, which she was now going to promptly disregard.
She slowly walked up to him, examining his armor carefully. Yes, this was going to be tough. In fact, Cel was probably going to be lucky to survive this, let alone stand victorious, but she had a job to do and a family reputation to keep.
"No."
She gave the superior angel a vicious grin.
"You know very well we disdain rules and orders... perhaps this is a courtesy. I advise you to stop. Let's negotiate in a language that everyone can speak, hm? Or do you need to go back home to your superiors to find out if you can fight someone who questions your authority?"
Push his buttons, make him mad. Angry combatants were more likely to make mistakes, and hopefully provide a good opening to get in close where his spear would be useless.
You are trying my patience, Keter. No one in the realm of Heaven questions my authority. I would not expect you to understand. Why do you defend this Delta? He is nothing to you. Less than nothing. He is through and through a being of law and order, even if he...ignored them to save the whore Elsa. Eli surged forward, managing a single step, his eyes filling with tears, growling almost ferally.
She was my sister. And you killed her. The Beta ignored him. If you wish to fight me, I cannot stop you. I cannot be accountable for your death. The realms of the Outsiders will not welcome your return, Keter. I will make sure of that.
"You just will not cease with your incessant 'keter', and 'beta' and 'deltas'... None of you ever shut up, do you?"
Her smile faded. She was past her limit with this celestial. She looked back to Eli just long enough to say:
"I tried courtesy."
Then she swung at him with a haymaker, putting a fair amount of force behind it. Cel wanted to beat this angel into oblivion, and unless he managed to impale her first, she was going to do just that... in her mind, anyway.
