Kerag was amazed with Ren's surprises, simply nodding his head and folding his legs into a sitting lotus position, his arms over his knees as the orc patiently awaited whatever the vampyre wished to speak with them about.
Raevarin nodded. He did the usual routine and brought forth a small vial. He stretched his arm out palm open facing Zaedus. The mark he had left where he stabbed the worgen through the chest opened up slightly. He ignored the grunts of pain issuing from the Worgen and concentrated. A single gobule of blood emerged form the opening shifting from black to crimson. It floated towards Raevarin and heclosed the vial over it.
This will remain here, If renquist sees you fit to keep one of the many powers of the Brood I will return it to you. Just know you will recieve no training on how to use it or to unleash it.
He left the vial hovering spinning in front of himself.
If you sought to live you had naught but run and hide yourself away, but when the weak court death.....they find it. If you wish to challenge me, I will allow it. The choice falls not unto me or to the whims of fate, Tis your alone.
Thank you both. I have asked that we convene as warriors, given that I have seen your worth... and seen that you are both indeed honorable. A rarity in this time and age.
I am Renquist, leader of the Brood Nocturne... a name you will not know as the wash of time has seen us long forgotten as was intended. We hail from a land and time of much war and suffering and it was our charge to remedy the corruption and then return to the darkness which we all call home.
You may consider us monsters, as many are so eager to do; but I assure you that we are not so monstrous in our intent. Those times are passed, our purpose long gone and it is only per chance that our brethren find ourselves in Wistvale. The pit... it was but a distraction.
I apologize for my antics gentlemen, the crowd seems rather fixated on such a demeanor and truth be known, it served me to conceal my true intent in such a manner. As you have already mentioned, I am indeed here searching for someone. He does not know it, but their is something of a transgression that has occurred, beyond his power and mine... and it has me curious. I aim to remedy it if it proves to be problematic.
But, I have invited you to hear one thing alone. I insist that regardless of your allegiance to this man, you stay your hand should we fight. It is not your battle and whilst your honor may dictate you should indeed rise to his defense, I demand that you do not. This is a matter beyond you - and I mean that with all due respect.

Kerag patiently heard Renquist out, slowly nodding his head, concentrating on every word with new found respect for the vampiric warrior. Having seen Ren fight, and the miraculous turn of events of actually saving face in front of the crowd, the orc grunted and smiled.
"After our duel, I knew you had the heart of a warrior. No pun intended Sir Vampyre."
Kerag's hands bundled into fists now as he struggled to fight back the tears at his eye.
"I accept the match's conclusion, but I know we did not truly win. You gave the fight over to us once you were sufficiently amused."
Kerag wiped the tears of frustration away and cleared his expression, once more assuming a stoic demeanor.
"I respect you, powerful warrior and I'll accept your request."
Kerag rose his hand to his chest in a knight's salute.
"If you speak of who I think; Normally it is my duty to protect my fellow guardsmen, but seeing the kindness you afforded us today, I will indeed stay my hand."
Kerag sighed, making eye contact with Ren.
"You have my word as a warrior."
Kerag then tightens his hands into fists again and glares at Ren.
"However I have a demand of my own Master Ren." Kerag popped his neck and sighed.
"For a warrior, you insulted my favorite captain, the woman who got me to join the Guard. In fact I disobeyed a direct order from her just to avenge what you did to her. Acknowledge this and apologize is all I ask"

Zaedus nodded, a fair trade he thought his life today for his un-involvement in Grayell's fight. A part of him raged against himself for wanting to defy his calling and duties. He nodded to Kerag at his testament. He shifted slightly.
I too am impressed, by the both of you. Though as you say you are from a time long washed from history I can expect ones of your stature to be powerful. I am honored by the fact you spared our live due to your satisfaction, even though it was just for your amusement.
The Worgen turned to Raevarin, a menacing glare crossing his face.
However I am not pleased by what you did to me, I had no control over myself. It was as if some beast took hold and unleashed itself.
He shifted his gaze back to Renquist
I do agree with Kerag, the jaunts and cruel slandering of my fellow captain is what really made me want to stay. Though i do not know her very well she is one of the Guard I respectfully request, of course when she is not enraged to take your head to at least give yourself the dignity to recant your words to her, and to you too Raevarin.

My friend we all have inner demons, I simply awakened yours. It was no foreign beast, it was all you. I am impressed you took to it, most go insane with madness, others are simply consumed and destroyed by the beast that lies within us all.
He stood placing his hand on Zaedus' head.
You are a capable warrior, and I am sure Renquist will agree. You both would have made fine Brood soldiers, this I know.
A look of sincere sadness washed over the Vampyre's face.
Saddening to know all that once was is gone. What I would do to return to those times just to relive the golden moments of them. As for Marg, yes I admit I was out of line for some of the things I said but I tend to get too caught up in the moment. If it pleases you so I can arrange for this apology to her to happen....if I find the time for it...no promisees though.
Raevairn took his seat by Renquist and waited further for him to speak.

You chose to fight me gentlemen. The animosity between Margrett and myself is none of your concern. I won't be apologizing and as you have suggested, she would most assuredly like to see me dead were we on the battlefield. I will not ask for apologies for her own slanders and past insults. Words mean so little - which also means insults mean so little. If you cannot have the strength of character to ignore words and instead choose action well, that is a flaw that I cannot be held responsible for.
Regardless, you Captain would not hear me out and that is fine, there is no love lost between us.
But... I give you this fight and ask for an audience to forewarn you. It is not your concern and would you indeed be men of honor, you would instead let it play out as it shall. I have no doubt in my mind that my opponent will demand nothing less. If you insist on placing conditions upon what is nothing more than a warning - then that is on you. I will not be held responsible for the outcome.
Now, if you are done implying that the Captain may in fact be incapable of upholding her own honor, I believe we are done. You two would not ask another to defend you own name, do not be quite so hasty to force such misguided notions of honor on others. That, is simply not how it works.
If you have no further questions of me, we can conclude our business now.
Raevarin returned the head nod, then looked to Renquist as he stood.
I leave the re-enforcing opinion to you Renquist.
He said tilting his head towards the still levitating spinning vial.
After all, you were the one who taught me how to master it. It is only right if you have the executive decision.
If you sought to live you had naught but run and hide yourself away, but when the weak court death.....they find it. If you wish to challenge me, I will allow it. The choice falls not unto me or to the whims of fate, Tis your alone.
Raevarin nodded, he glanced at the Worgen, making the vial hover closer to him
Your call Zaedus of Clan Frostmane. Take the power I offer to harness your inner strength and gain what you never had. Or leave as you are. There is no trickery here and I will be honest, a price will be paid in gaining the knowledge of mastering this power. You did well in controling it for the brief amount of time you had it. However.....failing to understand and learning this gift will lead to your destruction for it will consume you if you let it.
He drew his blade once again, the dark energies from the sword seemed to be amplified in the pocket realm Renquist had conjoured.
Take it....or leave it, you will not dis-honorme in anyway in either course of action you take.
If you sought to live you had naught but run and hide yourself away, but when the weak court death.....they find it. If you wish to challenge me, I will allow it. The choice falls not unto me or to the whims of fate, Tis your alone.
The Worgen pondered Raevarin's words...despite his negative feelings displayed earlier, a part of him wanted to experience that again. The raw power and ferocity made him feel one with himself. he looked down at his chest eyeing the black scar left by that wicked blade. What seemed like an eternity in his head he looked to Raevarin
I will accept the offer, Raevarin of the Brood Nocturne. In my trials and tribulations I only hope this may come as an aid instead of a burden.
A warm and accepting smile spread across Raevarin's face. He began his transformation and with his sword he struck the vial shattering it. The small gobule rushing, and forcing it's way into the Worgen.
May you find the reward you seek Worgen, carry it with the prideful honor you carry, and with caution.
The Vampyre turned and followed Renquist.
