As they walked out of town, several townspeople were already following Dr. Steel. Outside of town, some distance from the main street, was an encampment being set up. One large white tent was already set up, adorned with a cartoon of Dr. Steel's face. Several workers in black uniforms were setting up smaller tents where food was being made. There was a large desk labeled "Information" where two women and a man sat. They were obviously selected for the job because they were attractive and smiling. Some of the townsfolk were talking to them, animatedly.
She seemed to drop a little of the pretense. She spoke quickly, plainly, but still with a great deal of conviction.
Steel's dedicated to using the poor, the downtrodden, the disenfranchised, and giving them shelter and happiness in exchange for their undying loyalty and small amounts of labor. You give him your lives, he'll take them and make them livable. It's all voluntary.
Zane comes up behind Grayell and nods to the receptionist
"Hello ma'am. I'm all for fun and all, but what about the people who only find fun in the torture and murder of others? Surely they won't be having fun all of the time, so how could it truly be called Utopian if there's such an obvious flaw?"
He grins, though not sarcastically. He honestly wanted to know the answer
