Grayell takes the blade and then goes back to the sack he has by the log by the frog by the fire. He unravels it and takes out a small mill stone.
You know, this was a complete mother to come by. They don't just make these things in bulk. At any rate...
Grayell kneels down and slides the round stone onto the end of Zane's sword. He tied off behind it, toward the handle so that it will not slide down, but it is not secured to the blade. He then stands up with another cup.
Now this, this is my cup. You damage this one and I will be MOST displeased. That happens, you get to make me a new one. Lemme see here....
Grayell walks up to Zane, turns on his heel and takes six long strides. He then places his cup at his feet, open end down.
Place your cup on the ground at your feet like this.
Grayell looks at Zane and then shakes his head with a vicious grin. He picked up Zane's blade, heavy as it was. He stepped back to his cup and faced Zane.
You need to back up a little. You'll start at one end, like this. Then....
Grayell lifted the sword over his head, to the right. He stepped across three times, the blade floating through the air, seemingly effortless. It arched over and down, the mill stone on the end just barely touching Zane's cup. He then stepped backward, reversing the motion, the blade then folding by his side and tapping his. He stood straight and then handed the blade to Zane.
Then you switch to the other side. The stone falls off, you start over. You damage either cup, one of us goes without water. It won't be me. And you must touch both cups. Keep your knees bent at all times.
Grayell dusted his hands off and turned, walking back to the fire.
Two hundred and fifty times Zane. Don't hurt yourself now.
Grayell mean while heads back to the fire. He had a long stick of bamboo that he had been messing with earlier in the day and sits down on the large rock, shaving the end.
(You're walking while swinging overhand and barely touching the cup in front of you. Then you're stepping backward a couple of times and swinging it back to barely touch the cup behind you. Ridiculously hard.)
Grayell looks up, then gets up from the fire. He walks over to Zane and spots the sword, dropped and to his side. Hands on his hips he shakes his head.
You're pushing too hard. It's time you took a break. C'mon, I have some simply stew on the fire.
