Daenien ran around the corner after them, then stopped in his tracks as well. "Ooookay... That was unexpected," he murmured. "Uhm..." The sudden link with the elemental caused him to stumble, then nearly to fall when the words started coming. He immediately started trying to block off his memories and such from the elemental, but without any real training he had no idea how to go about it.
"Sir, uh, we're just here looking for this boy's ball," he said, trying to use all his charm. "If you'd be so kind as to point us in the right direction and then wish us luck on our travels..."
Zaedus took a few steps back as the elemental appeared. The psychic connection almost made him drop to his knees it was so powerful. The elemental held some sort of power over him, one he did not realize. He tried to stand but could not.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- The earth elemental shifted his head as if looking at Daenian
I care nothing for trinkets lost by humans.
It said, sounding normal now that the elemental had control over it's own thoughts. The elemental took a few steps forward and bent over at Serenity, it's face, if it had one, getting very close to hers.
Hmmm.....no......you are not the one who woke me from my slumber, but your magic did ring out to me....yes.
The elemental shifted it's gaze to the Worgen, then back to Serenity.
As Timmy grew less frightened, he looked around the area to see if his ball was anywhere to be found. He started getting distracted as the conversation went on between the adults and the earth elemental. Looking behind rocks and in cracks, he almost completely forgot about the giant earth creature standing over them. His short attention span and longing to have his ball back took over.
Serenity was confused, no knowing what the elemental kept saying about a guardian. Books weren't very informative about their nature or customs, not that anyone really knew. It was rare to see one, and most of the time it was accepted, at least back at her university, that the Elementals kept to themselves and rarely approached mortal creatures.
"No, old one, the Worgen is not my guardian, we merely came here because of the boy. I am his protector."
The elemental rose up, towering over all of them by at least a full grown man or woman. It released a small laugh.
Foolish...child...
It said, it's comment directed at Serenity. He shambled closer to the Worgen, and sat down. The elemental's head was level with the Worgen's. It's telepathic speech ringing out.
Are...you...not...aware...of..your history Wolf?
Zaedus dropped to a knee before the elemental.
Your lordship, only the high shamans spoke of your kind. They mentioned your fellow brethren are the reason our kind exist as they do now.
The elemental laughed heartily.
You are correct my son. Long ago a gifted Shaman by the name of Goel was approached by the four elemental lords. Ragnaros, the father of Fire, Gaia the mother of Earth, Avianna the mother of Air, and Aquedas, father of Water. These four gifted Goel the power to maintain the Life Tree. He trained his Shamans, and his magic users to defend the life tree. Your race, however, was a plague to them. Before your race was primal, fierce, without clarity of mind. Savage uncontrolled beasts who ravaged anything in their territory. One such beast entered the sanctum of the Life Tree, and grievously wounded Goel. That beast was known as Greymane. After Goel recovered he was not angry at the beast, rather impressed. He asked the elemental lords to give him the power to tame the creatures. They lured Greymane and his pack to the Life Tree where the Elemental Lords seized them. Goel used his new found gift and granted them the clarity of mind. Zalendar Greymane and his pack became the guardians of the Shamans, and Mages that protected the Life Tree. For centuries after whenever a girl or boy was found gifted with the powers of the elements, he or she was to choose a Worgen as their guardian to protect them and watch over them. It had been over two thousand years since that day, I am surprised to see the Worgen no longer fulfill their duties.
Zaedus was taken aback by the information. He looked to Serenity, then back to the elemental.
For as long as I have known our High Shamans told us we were nomadic in nature, never as guardians of Magic users, and Shamans.
The elemental grunted in a disapproving way.
Interesting...
The elemental looked to Serenity.
Did they not teach you this child? Or has it just been that long? That is the reason I assumed the Worgen was your guardian. At any rate it is good you are here anyway. I have long sensed a dark presence here, one who maliciously uses the power of the elements to do their bidding. I believe they are here.
Serenity was stunned, must of been the irony of the whole deal, still she was amazed by what she was hearing. The very thought of the ancient mages being protected by Worgen was mind boggling. Highever was a dominated by humans, with little interaction with other races, especially Worgen. Was it possible that this knowledge was lost to them or was the prejudice so strong that it was taken away from the texts? Whatever the case, she had to make note of it.
The lady mage looked up when the Elemental mentioned a darkness, "What do you mean, exactly? There are rogue mages in this cavern?"
I know not the nature of this being child, all I am aware of is the fact it has enslaved another elemental. I have felt the raging anger inside the elemental now for a few days.
The elemental walked to a nearby wall, placing it's rocky hand upon the wall, a brilliant brown light shown. The rocks beneath his hand began to crystallize and form a wolf's head. He walked over to Serenity.
Use this if you are in need, and only if he is present.
He said, pointing to the Worgen.
As long as you are in this cavern you may call upon me, my name is Geodane, just speak with the stone, and I will hear you.
Geodane rested against the wall, and began to meld with it. A few moments later the rock wall was smooth again, as if nothing changed.
Serenity has gained: Diamond of the Wolf's Might[/b]
Still in complete awe, Serenity marveled as she saw the beautiful diamond cut out the Elemental had formed for her, the craftsmanship gleaming off its surface. She wouldn't consider herself a typical woman when talking about gems, but it seemed the nature to admire the stone was predisposed in her mind.
When Geodane returned to the earth, a small fear enveloped her again as she slowly turned to the Worgen, not sure how to respond to him. It all seemed so sudden, especially after hearing about the ancient bond with a Worgen present.
Swallowing her fear, she carefully walked up to Zaedus, "I....I hope we can work together...if my company doesn't deter you. My name is Serenity." she finished bowing her head a little.
What could only be Zaedus' best attempt at a smile, well come on look at that mug...spread across his face. He dipped his head, ears flat back.
It would be my honor, I strive to aid and protect those who will have me.
He raised his head.
I am Zaedus Frostmane, it seems we both have learned a bit of history of my kind and you as a magic user. I have a feeling more shall be learned this day.

Daenien, rolled his eyes, trying unsuccessfully to hide his annoyance at being ignored for the most part. "Right then, so should we find the kid's ball before descending into the heart of evil or whatever?" he said, his voice slightly harsh. He glanced around as he spoke, already looking for the ball.
By now Tommy was just sitting on a rock with his head resting on his hand. He got up as soon as Daenien mentioned his ball. "Yes! Finally!" Tommy said with excitement. "I bet my ball went that way!" Tommy pointed down the biggest tunnel straight ahead of the group. Right past where the elemental was standing. Tommy had been looking to try and figure out which way his ball would have probably rolled when it had bounced down into the cave. This was his best guess.
Serenity wondered if she should just take the boy out of the cavern right now. Given his hasty nature though, he'd probably just jump back in and end up in more danger.
"Alright..let's keep looking then."
A chill went down her spine, what could possibly be in here that has even an elemental concerned? More so, what exactly does this diamond do? At any rate she hoped to find the ball first before and get Tommy out of here before they stumble unto whatever foul thing is further in.
Reaching over to grab Tommy's hand again, she walked down the pathway he pointed too, praying that the ball was indeed at the end of it.

(( Tommy, check you PM's I sent you one. I would like a reply back please ))
The tunnels seem to wind, and wind and wind down into the earth. The small band witnessed some odd and interesting things. Glowing lizards, flowers that shot off their stems if you touched them. The path narrowed and narrowed, the walls slowly coming together. A small crevice in the wall lead to the other side.
The Worgen said as he awkwardly squeezed himself through, his large frame making it difficult. He managed to make it through and when he did an exaggerated nhale of breath could be heard on the other side.
Serenity brought her hands close together just above her chest, palms facing the wall, and slowly pulled her hands apart causing the crevice to shift and open a little wider.
Taking a breath, she picked up Tommy, forced him to really, and climbed through the hole. When she landed next to the Worgen, her eyes widened at the sight, nearly gasping as she put Tommy back down.
The adventurers were in a cavern paradise, a lagoon lay in the center of the open chasm, the sapphire blue waters glistening from the sunlight pouring in from an opening in the ceiling. Small trees dotting the outskirts of the lagoon. The water was magnificent, seemingly to have a life of it's own under the sun's rays.
