((We don't know what you know, Grayell. Tell us where the different activity seems to be and we'll stick together as we head that way. The dragging could be bodies waiting to be reanimated--or prisoners... The big door will lead to a big spacious room with a monologue or dialogue plus fighting--that's my guess anyway.))

"What've you found, Grayell?" Alec asks, glancing around at the dusty floor. "My place is in reading maps, not rooms."
Come in under the shadow of this red rock, and I will show you something different from either your shadow at morning, striding behind you, or your shadow at evening, rising to meet you. I shall show you fear in a handful of dust.
Grayell explains what the sign has told him because he can't be bothered to read it again and retype the info in his own words.
So as far as I can tell, we have the horde of deaders thataway, a birthday party thrown to the north - and something big and nasty that looks like it's dragging it's food home to much on.
Problem is, which one is our immediate priority?

Running a hand through his hair, Alec looks at all three of the possible exits. "I'd say," he begins, "we go with whichever passageway poses the least seeming threat." He sets a hand against his jaw, and gnaws at the worn leather on his thumb. "Problem is," he huffs, "which way is that?"
Come in under the shadow of this red rock, and I will show you something different from either your shadow at morning, striding behind you, or your shadow at evening, rising to meet you. I shall show you fear in a handful of dust.
Rue looked at the three tunnels and the three sets of tracks going in each direction. She thought about what Alec said, about their priority being finding the least threatening hallway.
"No," she said. "Our priority is finding the undead who are carrying the relic. That's the whole reason we have to make this decision in the first place."
She studied the tunnels again: the dragging tracks to the left, the large tracks straight ahead, and the human tracks to the right.
"Judging by the footsteps we heard upon entering the tomb, the undead are moving by shuffling their feet. They are not taking normal, human-like steps, so right is our least likely choice. Their shuffling feet could easily cause the drag marks to the left. I vote we take the western tunnel."
Simeon thought about that, but it seemed some piece of information was missing... something was still unclear.
"Wait, that makes sense on one hand, but how large are those drag marks? Are they as wide as a foot or as wide as a body? If they are larger then I say we go to the north. All of this seems to resemble cultist worship. If this relic can raise the dead then I believe there's a good chance it's being worshiped. If I wanted something worshiped I'd place it in the biggest room possible and bring as many people to it as possible."
It seemed that the entire team was undecided on which way to go. The tracks were a complete mess and Grayell didn't have enough information to go on regarding what enemies to expect and how many.
Look, I am torn on this. We can go after the skeletons so they're not an issue later. They're easy enough to kill. But fighting may only draw attention.
The drag marks... I have no clue. I really don't. It's probably some dread bastard abomination that's responsible for the undead.
The North is the busiest door. ANYTHING could be in there but it could also provide us with the best answers.
I will go with anything, you guys choose.

"I think we should go after the skeletons first. We won't have to run through this tomb worrying about where they are and where they might attack us next if we take care of them first. There's also a good chance they're carrying the relic on them so after retreiving it from them, the only challenge will be getting back out of here. Wherever the skeletons went, we should follow them."
The temperature of their surrounding immediately dropped, their breath forming fog in the dank air. Light blue tendril like wisps began circling around the group, further decreasing the temperature. The hair's on the back of the adventurer's necks began to stand, the feeling of dread looming in the air. The wisps combined and formed a blurry visage of an emaciated elf.
Who enters this sacred ground unannounced, and forbidden?
Simeon politely bows to the spectral being. "I am Simeon. I hail from a small monastery in the southwest. We have come seeking to rescue an item recently stolen by unholy desecrators. We did not mean to intrude unannounced or disrespectfully."
He bows a little bit deeper.

Grayell bows before the spirit and speaks with his head low. He had a calm of mind about, it was his way to communicate through feelings, kinship rather than with a silver tongue.
Forgive our intrusion spirit, we have come to suppress and ancient evil that has taken hold here. The dead walk these halls and your elven brethren have empowered us to rest the relic from whatever monstrosity causes this great evil.
Grayell did not move but instead awaited a response. Spirits were unpredictable beings and he didn't care to join them just yet....
The Elven visage hovered to Grayell. It thrust it's spectral hand into his chest, an intense cold washing over him.
I have seen into your heart wild one, and I sense the wards placed upon you by the Druids of the Grove. Your quest however is not to retrieve an artifact lost or stolen. You are to obtain the relic and use the powers to seal away the ancient evil that resides here. The northern door is sealed however. Each wing holds a sigil keeper, you must obtain the sigils they carry, only then can you pass through the main porticulus. I warn you would be heroes, the dead here are eternal, unless you break the binding magic their master has over them.
Grayell shudders as he is released and staggers backward, the intense chill enough to suddenly rob him of his balance. He shakes his head as if waking up and rubs his eyes. Opening them slowly, his brow furrowed; he looks to the spirit and then to the others. He draws his sword from his sheath once more, this time slowly, and checks his torch.
Alright you lot, time we got this done with then. We head east.
Grayell nods to the spirit once more. Between this and the occurrence with the forest god Tanto, Grayell seemed to be getting a crash course in dealing with spirit beings. He headed for the east door, torch in front and his blade at his side.
Simeon follows Grayell, also bowing his head to the spirit being as he passed. He had his torch in his right hand and his sword back in its sheath. He was still confused about what the ghost had said. For now he would follow and hopefully soon things would become clearer.
