Nodding, Alec holds a hand out. "I'll take the bag. Don't want our archer making fresh corpses out of us, now do we?"

Grayell heads to the crypt door and notices the shuffling in the dark. He waves his torch side to side as he enters, spider webs melting away, seeming like they should scream their pleas in tiny voices. That or a warning.
The residents knew they were here, no doubt about it. They'd have to be careful where they trod and be quick to eliminate any threat in the dark. His sword was in his right hand, torch in the left.... and onward.
As Grayell breaches the entrance of the crypt, spider webs burning away from the walls as he walks by. One could notice the dusty atmosphere something was definitely moving around. Drag marks could be seen on the now uneven stone floor, a sign of shuffling feet, or maybe worse. As the group continues down the corridor they notice it starts to descend. The party came to an opening in the tight space. On the walls lie sarcophagi, this was one of the hubs for the bodies to be laid to rest. Curiosity ended as the sound of creaking, cracking, and the dragging of steel overrode the stillness in the air. Twelve skeletal guardians began attacking the party.
((Free combat for this one, attack and kill as many as you like, just let's not have one person do it all, then its just not fun ))
(Couple of rounds I reckon. BTW, have had a knife the whole time but am an idiot who forgot. Now going to bother editing lol.)
Grayell smiled as the undead clattered towards the group and being the first in the room, he was first to act. He brought his blade up as he tossed his torch to the floor, at the feet of the closest skeleton, causing the light in the room to flutter erractically. This would not effect the skeletons, they had no eyes to confuse but Grayell was hard wired for quick, bastard tactics and a hand holding a torch was not an effective weapon.
Instead, both hands had gripped his blade as he dashed forward and past the first skeleton, the blade unregistered in the dark save for the mad flicker of the flame and the pile of bones clattering to the ground in a heap, having been severed in two. His arms simply swept from his back to his front and across, whipping the head off another and sending it smashing as dust into the far wall. He spun and lashed out with his foot - but was caught by the skeleton's shield.
He dropped back a couple of feet and his blade again came up in front of him, a wicked smile on his lips as he slowly panned the room.
Simeon leaned over to the right and with his left hand Simeon drew one of his butterfly swords from the sheath at his left side and swung it counter-clockwise just in time to deflect a downward swing from one of the polearm wielding skeletons. As he straightened his body and pushed aside the weapon, he twisted his left foot so his heel faced the emaciated enemy. Simultaneously, he raised his right knee up to his chest. Then, while the skeleton was was off-balance, Simeon slammed the edge of his foot into the chest of his enemy.

Entering the room, Alec sidesteps a blade and brings a foot up to catch the bottom of the offending skeleton's rib-cage, ripping through the old bones. He steps into the thick of the skeletons, throwing an elbow here and there, crushing the skulls of three more. After, he jumps backwards, narrowly avoiding a rusty blade. "Not as slow as I'd thought," he mumbles, bringing fists up.

Rue smiled at Simeon's suggestion and handed the bag to Alec.
Now that they had entered the tomb though, there was no time for distractions. Rue began shooting arrows into the horde of skeletons before realizing they didn't do much damage: the arrowheads were just getting lodged into the skeletons' ribcages and other gaps between their bones. She swung her bow back around her shoulder and drew her dagger from her belt, attacking the skeletons with her knife instead.

Falling on the remaining skeletons, Alec smashes skulls with fist and elbow, and shatters spines under the rib cage with quick, precise kicks. Covered in bonemeal, Alec wipes sweat off his brow and looks back at the party. "On then, shall we?" he says, extending one hand further into the darkness.

with the undead vanquished, the dust settled. The group was in the main antechamber of the crypt. Two wings broke off in the east (right) and the west (left) a large door in the northern section of the room.
(time to decide to go left or right or dead ahead...no pun intended)
Simeon looked around to see if he could find anything that might give them a hint of what to do next--a symbol on the ground, squad of skeletal warriors, a large sign that says, "stolen relic inside" ect.
Assuming he sees nothing that gives HIM any ideas about what to do, he says, "What do each of you think of splitting up to search quicker? We could each go down one end of the corridor and meet back here at the larger door in, say, an hour's time."

"No," Alec states definitively. "We do not split up. It may double our searching speed, but it halves our power. We do not know what is down either corridor - we do NOT split up." He looks around at the gathered adventurers, eyes gleaming. "Understood?"

Simeon was surprised to witness such a commanding outburst from the smaller man. Originally Simeon had thought him only a scholar, however, he had proven his worth in a heated battle and therefore warranted respect.
"That is a fair argument, but where would you suggest we go instead?"
Grayell paws over the ground and squats on his haunches. He studies the floor carefully, hand gently rubbing over the dust and dirt from years of neglect. He studies the walls, touches them too. He lifts some moss that clings in the crevice there and sniffs it, eyes closed. The walls and floor would speak, he knew it.
The activity was great in this room, almost as if this was the main hub. The greatest amount of tracks lead to the large door in the north. A larger set of drag marks lead to the west, smaller tracks, those of human size lead to the east. The scent of death and decay was evident in Grayell's search, though the ever present feeling of powerful magic lingered in the air.
