(Well, tryout time. This is open to anyone who can bear with me. Its my first time attempting to run an adventure.)
What had been a normal night becomes quite strange when the sky, almost instantly, grows brighter than if it were midday. The intense light would cause most to have to squint, or altogether close their eyes. Others, it would rip from their peaceful slumbers, as it would force its way through any crack or window a home had. The brightness only lasted a brief moment, and following, four balls of fire are seen hurling down to the earth off in the horizon. They were staggered in a straight line, almost as if they were following each other.
Then came the impact, which would have seemed much less extreme than what most would have anticipated. This was only because the consequences were delayed. After a moment of nothing, an extremely loud boom from the impact came to the city. It was so loud, it would cause ears to ring and cause pain in many.
The incredible sound was followed almost immediately by the tremors. The quakes and intense boom would have caused anyone who managed to keep dreaming, to be woken. The vibrations lasted a good fifteen seconds before coming to a stop, and then picking up again. This happened in four intervals. Following the aftermath, murmurs filled the city, even though it was right in the middle of the night.
The next morning comes quickly and gossip of the events continued to fill the streets. Most everyone was talking about it with a tone of fear. Speculations were circulating about the meteors actually being Gods or Titans. Even the idea of extraterrestrials were going around.
The damages caused by the tremors were very minimal. Homesteads looked no more rundown than usual, and sturdier structures felt nothing.
The same poster filled every notice board in the town,
For most, this would bring back memories of a mad man preaching in the center of town. For the weeks before the events, he was preaching seeming nonsense in the town square every single day. Things like, “The sky will light up with great rocks of fire and mystery” What seemed like nonsensical preaching now seemed like a premonition of sorts.

-Citizens of Wistvale,
I warned you of the fireballs in the sky, and you all ignored my cries. Now, you will suffer the consequences of your ignorance. May the Light have mercy on all of you.

-Seeking capable adventures to accompany me in investigating the meteors! I seek to put the rumors to rest and show that these were nothing more than rocks descending from the sky. I will need able warriors to guard me on the travels to the rocks. Seek me out in the “Drunken Boar” tavern.
