Alec [M:118:6:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=412&page=1#1242]"I see," said the blind man to the deaf lady.[0:Wandering the stacks.][1:Present and accounted for.]
"Right," Alec says, forcibly holding his mouth closed. "So. This isn't going to be quite as easy as I thought it would."

"Oh, of course it'll be easy. Just you and me verses some rotting corpses and a man who's bigger than both of us and out for our heads," Rue said with contempt.
Before he could counterattack, Rue shot another arrow at the man's throat, hoping to kill him and end this quickly. She had a feeling though, that the man would be anticipating this. Her hopes of this fight ending quickly, she knew, were a long shot.
Her shot flew true once more as the man approached them both, the head burying in his throat. He stumbled, blood sputtered in a frothy mess from his mouth and he walked forward again, snapping the arrow off. He lifted his mace and at that signal, all the skeletons closed in on the pair and attacked.
(Alright. So we are going to keep this turn based but at any time you can dismember/kill/maim any of the undead. Make it a good read. I will still be controlling my arrow target.)
As the man stumbled back and the corpses rose, Rue turned to face them. Focusing on the ones nearest to her, she sent a volley of arrows into their midst. Several of the arrows found vital areas on the corpses' bodies and they fell to the ground. Other arrows found an arm here, a leg there, slowing down the enemies. Others still missed the army of undead as they continued to progress towards her and Alec.
As she was reaching to her quiver to load more arrows, one of the bodies lunged out and grabbed onto Rue's arm. With her other hand, she drew her dagger from her belt and sliced the arm off of the creature. She then stabbed it in the chest and pushed it away from her. Hoping she had slowed down the undead long enough to focus on the man for a moment, she turned back to see what he was doing.

Lashing out at the nearest corpse, Alec rends the head from its neck, and punts it over the fort wall. Tearing an arm off, he sets about beating some of the other corpses to pieces. Dropping the mangled arm, he turns to Mr. Bald-Scary-Guy and, launching himself at the man, tries to knock him on his ass by hitting him square in the chest with both knees.

Hoping Alec had subdued the man for a little while longer, Rue focused her attention back on the undead army. The creatures that had arrows lodged somewhere in their bodies were now pulling them out and advancing. Not wanting to give them an opportunity to attack first, Rue attacked them with her dagger, severing the limbs off of some, stabbing vital areas on others. Several of them lunged out at her, trying to scratch and grab her, but only a few of the horde managed to tear her jacket sleeves and scrape her arms using their fingernails.
She slowly backed into the center of the room with her back to Alec and the man. She sheathed her dagger and instead drew her bow, continuing to take out as many zombies as possible.
Alec crashes into his target with both knees - and bounces back. The large necromancer only stumbles backward a couple of steps and remains unfazed. He lifts his mace, it now glowing darker and swings it wide at Alec's midsection.

Landing in a heap on the ground, Alec stands and rubs the back of his head. Looking up, he sees the mace flying at him and hops back quickly.

Rue turned away from the army of undead to see the necromancer swinging his mace at Alec. She notched an arrow and shot it at his chest, hoping that attacking Alec was taking all of his focus so he wouldn't notice the arrows flying towards him.
I am going to suggest that given the last posts, this has lost interest. I find it hard to tap into something once it has waned, assuming another character can be hard.
So let's make this interesting. Both of you write quite the post, detailing the end of this conflict and so on. I will post to help with any wrap up after that. The minions and the boss man are yours to defeat in spectacular fashion.
((Sorry this took so long, I kept forgetting this was still here .))
Rue's last arrow missed the necromancer's chest but instead hit his shoulder, causing him to drop his mace. Now weaponless, she hoped Alec could finish him off and left him to it. She turned back to the undead army with a renewed energy in her. She was now out of arrows, so she swung her bow across her back, drew her dagger from her belt once more, and attacked the corpses shuffling towards her.
She sliced through the air in front of her, trying to maim and kill any enemies in her path. She ducked and lunged with her knife in her hand, making contact with any part of the enemies' bodies that her blade could reach. At one point, a zombie grabbed her wrist, withholding her from attacking further. She could not escape his hold on her so she swiftly bent down, pulling an arrow out of a fallen corpse, and plunged it into the standing one's stomach, causing it to double over and release her from its grasp. She kicked it to the ground where it remained motionless, but her wrist was now bruised from its vicelike grip. Switching her dagger to her other hand, she managed to take down what remained of the undead army until she stood in the middle of a scene twice as gory as the one her and Alec had originally stepped into.
Seeming to suddenly remember that Alec and the necromancer were both still in the room, Rue swept her hair out of her face and turned towards them.
