I am going to start working on an FAQ which will also go into specific details on elements of the game like poison and some skills and so on. It won't be in this thread, but I would like to have your questions here or anything you think may puzzle other people mentioned.
I assume a long-lasting poison would bypass the part about not being able to use it three days after applying it? Also, are gaseous poisons allowed?
We won't be doing lost lasting poisons, poisons will be usable items.
A thief would not have the chemistry background to make a gaseous poison.

How would one acquire such a chemistry background?
Given that science is hardly developed in our world, I would consider Ingenuity and Medicine to be a good start. Medicine does refer to 'general scientific knowledge' and fields pertaining to it. We wouldn't have another Doc Frankenstein and wizzbang computers, that's for sure.

Something I'm not quite sure about; how does one utilize metal magic? Is it simply an ability to move and bend metal, or is it more akin to water manipulation?
Come in under the shadow of this red rock, and I will show you something different from either your shadow at morning, striding behind you, or your shadow at evening, rising to meet you. I shall show you fear in a handful of dust.
Yup, turning metal into a fluid state would be nigh impossible.

Well, so is magic in general. But hey, you da boss.

No, magneto's power involves magnetism. This deals with bending, stretching and molding metal to your will with magic. If you were an accomplished mage you could tear metal from say, a prison door with sufficient force to hurl it at someone. You could likely propel a sword or reshape it, armor too.
