Siddhar’s shack is a work in progress. Formerly abandoned, the skeleton of the shack is made from darkened, old wood. The walls and support beams show wear from bugs, and the ceiling is missing a few planks. The floorboards are intact but the door is not on hinges and must be put in place. There are small, rectangular holes cut close together near the ceiling of the walls. The remains of a fire pit rests underneath a hole in the ceiling, where a few planks were removed. All that remains is a pit of dirt and ashes.
Since the arrival of its current squatter, the shack has improved minimally. Bits and bobs, left behind by the previous occupants, have been used to plug the holes in the walls. One could see streaks of dust in corners – surviving bits from a hasty cleanup. Ceiling planks and floorboards have been rearranged to accommodate the fire pit while sheltering other parts of the shack. A bedroll is laid out beneath a repaired part of the ceiling, and a broken pot has been fashioned into a makeshift lantern by the bedroll.
