Okie gang, all staff were in agreement that this month's member of the month should be...Enuyu
Fear. Real, tangible, fear began to gnaw at Enuyu. The dream had simply been an overwhelming but unfocused sense of dread and terror. What she was feeling now was the nascent dismay that she might be living out the final moments of her life. She'd not had time to be truly afraid when the wisps tried to steal her life force away from her. It all happened too quickly. But now, in these short moments when this new gate crasher was yelling insanities; she had the luxury of thought, and those thoughts were anything but a comfort.
Whomever this crazy woman was, however incoherent her ranting was, one thing was clear with her last words : she meant lethal harm to both Enuyu and Diegis. For her part, Enuyu was in no condition for a fight. Maybe, just maybe if she got a hold on one of the other's limbs she could break it, viciously, and incapacitate her. But that was a maybe, and not even a maybe she liked the prospects of; because there was something about the other woman that made Enuyu think she was other than human. If that was so, there was no telling how powerful she might be, or if a broken limb would even mean anything to her.
For all Enuyu knew, the interloper was the reason the wisps and mist had manifested. That thought frightened her the most. If it was the truth of the matter, it meant the woman was possessed of a tremendous amount of power, of a sort against which Enuyu had no defense.
Fight or Flight. An easy choice if she was in a condition to do either. But she was in no condition to fight, and she doubted she could flee very far very fast.
Then the woman rushed forward and Enuyu's feet made the decision for her. She turned and ran like a rabbit. The adrenaline rush that would have normally drawn the world into sharp focus instead made the world lurch. It was instinct alone that kept her feet moving under her and steered her towards the docks.
She found herself sparing only one word for her companion. It had a strength her previous speech did not. "Run!"
A new fear was born in the fraction of a moment after the word left her : that Diegis would not run. She feared he would try to buy her time. She feared for his safety for his life.
Don't even think it. Please don't even think it. Just run!

Enuyu you are a wonderful writer. I think I can say, with a damn good certainty, that all of us here at the Menagerie could take a page from your book, so to speak. You're always polite and you always say hello. Several times your ideas have been extremely well thought out and helpful. You have also done everything we've asked of a member and more.
Thank you for being one of our members, you make this place that much more exciting.
I suppose you want something.
How about 100 gold and 10 acclaim?
