"Tell me, child of man...What does it mean to live in truth? To wage war against the passing of days? To pray to the unseen for a few breaths more? To raise grand cities from stone and spawn new life in turn? Man kind has done this, yes, and more. But is the tapestry you weave truly of your own design? Most creatures desire to live from simple fear of death. But not mankind. Some welcome the end with arms outstretched, while others come to face death incarnate arms in hand. So I ask again child of man, what is your purpose in the grand design?"
-Raevarin Dalcameron: Thoughts on mortality.
Ageless, immortal, undying. Typical descriptors of the Vampyre Raevarin Dalcameron. Born in an age long since washed away in the ebb of time, he yet still walks the plane watching and always ever observing. Once a simple man, having a family and child, Raevarin was not always the conniving, wrathful monster he has become. He shelters himself away always in the shadows and only rarely does one catch him in plain sight, at least there are very few who have survived to tell the tale.
Though his infamy has nearly defined him the Vampyre has on occasion seen himself in others: the struggle to live, lost in despair and no clear path to take. These struggles and strife brings him down to when he was like that, before the Brood Nocturne. He has a weakness to children, and cannot bear to see harm come to any, a side effect of witnessing the slaughter of his own child.
No one knows why he has returned, at least those who may know of him through lore and legend of long ago. He is not the only though of those who have once again resurfaced from the currents of time. An omen some call it, to him it is but a blessing.
He is a wraith of a man considering his height and how lithe he is, and has raven locks that drape far below his shoulders. His leather vestments are form fitting and allow him to use his inhuman speed to his advantage. Twin blades hang from his hips, twin souls he has been known to call them.
However now he just roams through the waves of time, not too far behind Renquist.
He has often displayed his power in controlling dark magic, though his forte is the magic that can give, and take life; Blood Magic. Through his time he has learned much of the capabilities, even uses it to fuel his own power.
By igniting the fervor in ones blood he can attain speeds and power beyond normal mortal capabilities and understanding. He uses this as his means of decimating his foes, for how can you kill what you can't see?
