Zane walks down the street, whistling merrily as he rounds the corner, and steps into the bar. He then looks around and stops whistling. Seeing a drunk guy hitting on a hot girl with a trail of vomit behind them, a guy accusing another rof walking out on his drinks, a crazy looking old man dancing around on a table, and a random patron yelling at him out the academy of malevolence.
"I don't even wanna know."
He then spins around and walks away hurriedly, deciding that he'd go visit the tavern some other day

"WHAT!? ERM- AHGHH..." Fa'Pizz faltered. Flarb it. It wasn't fair!!! Booksmarts. You don't need a piece of paper to make you evil. Experience! It's all about experience. Abruptly, the evil lord realized he had just been standing there, drooling slightly.
"WHAAA! YOU DARE TO QUESTION MEEE!?
I AM THE WITCH KING OF K'CHA-K'CHA!
DON'T MAKE ME SMITE YOU, WHIPPERSNAPPER! TAKE IT BACK, OR I WILL CONSUME YOUR WITH A STRAW."
Sir, I may need to guide you back to the Old Lich's Home. You don't look fit to be out and about, especially in an establishment such as this. He sighs and folds his arms.
You never got your degree, did you sir?
Of all the graveyards in all the towns in all the world, she had to walk into mine.

The room dimmed, and the shadows of the tavern surging towards the center of the room, enveloping the Witch King of Kapluzz in their sinister tendrils... And when they retreated, all that could be seen was the quickly retreating figure of an EVIL LORD running from the scene, skinny pale legs visible as he hitched up his cloak for running purposes.

(Players can RP the bartender so long as they don't interfere with other players terribly.)
Grayell frowned a tad. This was the part were usually they told him what they drank he said boisterously that since they're buying, he'd take one as well. Huh. She seemed..... smart. Crap. He never had much luck with the smart ones. They disregarded him for the most part and he didn't much care.... outwardly. Book smarts didn't light you a fire in a snow field.
He shrugged and managed a somewhat Jack Sparrow smile though, turning to face the bar and raising a hand to wave over the bartender.
Well miss, I suppose I can't have you try the swill they save for the likes of me. Perhaps something... ummmm... fruity.
Yup. Bartender, something special for the lady here thanks. On me.
Make it two actually.
Graihl smiled and winked at Serenity - something that wasn't suggestive or lustful but was more an indication of his roguish nature. How she perceived it could be entirely different of course.
So. New in town I'm guessing? I have to say, you don't much look like a local.
Er.. and that's a good thing! I mean you know... crap.
The lady mage was surprised that he hadn't asked her what she was wearing under the blouse just because of how drunk he looked. Perhaps that was unfair on her part, and if she wanted to give this one a chance it should really be one.
She giggled a bit at his questions, "It's alright ser, you're right I'm not from around here, but I've done my share bit of traveling. As such, my travels have brought me here now."
He looked like a soldier she thought, a veteran even with all the muscles. Regardless he too had a different aura, compared to the other patrons she seen so far. She had a feeling that there was a lot of history about the man that didn't quite match with the people of this town.
"Am I to assume that you're not from around here too, Mr...."
Grayell nodded as their drinks arrived. He took a sip, damn near impaling his eye on a uselessly small umbrella. His eyes cinched and his jaw pressed to his neck, a quick shake of the head. He cleared his throat and placed the drink on the bar.
Ahem. Phew. Me? No, new in town. Warmer than where I came from up north. Strange to be around people really.
... but then you do get to meet some interesting folks that way.
He smiled then, just a hint. His eyes were on hers, seems he liked looking at her.
My name is Grayell miss, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
She almost wanted to look shocked at the presence of manners, but then remembered her own. Picking up the new glass, she gave it quick taste and when she found it acceptable she took a longer drink.
"Grayell, its a pleasure to meet you, my name is Serenity."
Brushing her hair with one hand she focused a little more on Grayell, "And you don't have to be so formal with me, I may give off airs of a high class woman, but we're in a pub, you can relax, I won't bite."
Her smile widened a little, "Not unless your eyes betray you of course."
Grayell chuckled and nodded compliantly. He was done with that drink but again leaned on the bar, one elbow this time.
A pleasure Serenity. I don't much care for crowds - even small crowds like this one, but I have learned that when you meet someone on the trail you either greet them with aggression or courtesy.
I feel safe in saying I needn't get my hackles up in your presence. Come, should we take a seat? I'd like to say I'm a listener but most will tell you I'm a braggart with tall tales and shorter patience. Don't mind me if I go back to drinking swill though....
Graihl nodded to the barkeep and pushed the drink back.
Serenity joined him at the table (if that's what you meant), but not before asking for another drink of what it was the barkeep had given her.
"I'm used to all sorts of crowds, although that usually isn't the case likewise. I only walked in here to see if I can't make some acquaintances while I'm staying in Wistvale."
Taking another sip of her drink, she relaxed a little and loosened up her shoulders, "And what tall tales are these if I may ask? You do look like a man who's seen a great many things."
