The Sellswords? Wouldn't they just turn me in for the bounty on my head instead?
He began to worry but he had to trust in Serenity in order for her to trust in him, he thought to himself. There must be more to her plan then he already knew. He remained patient and awaited her reply as they rode towards the docks.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Serenity reassured him, "Of course, unless I pay them not to. Assuming I can convince Quick not to out of the kindness of his heart."
The taxi had begun moving and Serenity appeared as tense as Red did. More so at visiting the Sellswords than at the fact she's apparently wanted dead by someone.
"There's something you said earlier that has bothered me, Red, and is the only reason I haven't turned you to the Sentinels instead. When did I show my magic to you? You sounded as if you attacked me but that's not what happened at the party."
Her arms and legs were crossed. It was easy for her to turn the cabby to the Sentinels rather than the docks.
At the House of Galena, where I was cured by the healers and Roger. Don't you remember? I had requested for you, before the Sentinels would take me with them. It is then that I informed you of why I believed that Roger was behind the poison set to kill you. You then left and I freed myself, setting a trap at the door to plan my escape when you got passed it with your hardened skin and I was left to spawn a darkling and release it so I would not get caught. I did not think that it would attack so suddenly, and directly go for you. Again I apologize for that.
There was much guilt in his voice as he regretted that action.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Serenity had heard that Red escaped from the House of Galena and was urged to keep constant guard. Though, she would not allow her own housecarls to stand by and intimidate citizens from seeing her.
"How sick were you? I was not at the House of Galena after the party, though I intended to come see you. Surely...wait."
A thought occurred to her and a stroke of fear crossed her face. Something from days before, a troubling thing.
"My brush...you thought it was me there? Undeniably so?"
So many questions now entered her mind, and Roger was at the center of it. She threw the man to the back of her mind, but now she had an inkling of fear that Red was speaking truths.
"Why do you think Roger was behind the poison?"
She had so many questions, but the ride would be too short to answer them all. Now, it seemed that time was against her as well beside the forces that wanted her out of some picture she wasn't aware to be a part of. What in the world was going on...
Serenity's words fell on the Warven like a brick of stones. It just made his burdens even heavier to carry than they were before.
He lifted his head back and stared at the ceiling of the inside of the taxi in disbelief. Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm himself. He knew now that Roger was aware of everything. His burden had just became more heavy than before.
He lowered his head and shook it a few times before speaking.
Could things get any worse?
I only recall my whole body being numb after awakening from who knows how long I was out.
I could have sworn it was you. Now Roger knows that I tried accusing both him and Piper of trying to poison you. He even warned to stay quiet or their would be "ill will" between us... Please tell me that he's not that powerful of an enemy to have.
Roger over heard me talking to a waiter at the ball for the location of the lounge and pointed me towards the location, even giving me a key to it. It was then that I was going to back out of my mission to steal your necklace when you walked in. I was unaware of the glass wine, even more of the poison in it. I take it he tried to have the blame placed on me if you had drank it. Also when he gave me the antidote he did say that he was very familiar with the poison itself. Now that I think of it, I do believe it was him and not Piper trying to kill you, unless they are working together, which is possible because Piper has many connections. Both would benefit from it in some way, I would think.
... Stop the taxi... The sellswords are a bunch of money hungry mercenaries, not to be trusted and crooked in many ways. There is only one other person that I can trust within Wistvale. I think I know what I have to do now.
He could only hope to find her soon enough before his enemies would place their hands on him.
