Ok, I sincerely hope you are reading this. This will be the single largest bonus I have ever given across the board. Here's the skinny.
Both Kiko and I are reaching end game. I have all of two more talent points I can earn and don't plan on winding out the system just to keep growing. However, in our careers, we have only earned a few thousand dollars. That sounds like a lot, doesn't it?
Not so much. I know that both of us have changed our weapons and our armor a couple of times only. Neither of us have ever bought a belt. We've given money away and so on, but we've also earned money as admin. Basically, it means that with our rewards system thus far; people haven't earned enough to allow them to upgrade their gear as they grow. I don't want people holding onto every penny and saving forever to buy one uber item. I want people feeling capable of upgrading as they go, to meet the demands of nastier enemies.
The first thing you need to know is this: we will be giving bigger rewards. Not just to everyone, but to people who earn them. More gold, more loot. Lots more loot. We want to liven up the economy and recognize players who put in more effort and work by rewarding them. There will be no more 'here's some gold for writing, thanks.' You will have to earn it, in character; so start looking for gold. Try smashing barrels for all I care lol.
Secondly, and here is the big one...
WE ARE PAYING EVERYONE WHAT THEY HAVE ALREADY EARNED. Huh? What that means is that Neko has calculated what you have already earned in game to date and I am going to go through and pay you that sum. This will double your career earnings.
I won't be doing this for everyone, all at once. We have unique items and we want it to be fair, so it will go in order of seniority. Staff will go first and I imagine won't take long to figure out what they want, then players will go afterwards.
Don't be upset if you wanted a unique item and someone buys it before you. They have been here longer and another item will invented to replace it in the store.
I am going to suggest that faction members/leaders consider investing in their factions. I am also going to suggest that you consider sharing the love and maybe buying something nice for someone you enjoy writing with.
Perhaps you could even save a little.
